This is a BIG cast and hard to follow who knew how, so I am always intrigued by the stuff like "KC and Darell were close", coz there a ton of relationships we do not see that are there in the background.

Imo it was completely different and not the same but Tony thought he was gonna look like a hero for doing this. He saw the heavy plates and thought this Elim was gonna mainly be a work horse comp and not a puzzle. The signs were covered up. He believed he coulda out worked Darrell. Challengers get paid a guarantee up front. They don't start getting bonus pay until like week 4 or even week 6. So him leaving the first week or 2nd week is the same pay. So it's weird he tried so hard against Leroy but then would throw the next elim to go home. I think Tony just got lost in his own head and didn't know who to trust. It was completely idiotic imo but I don't believe he purposely wanted to go home. I'm biased and always liked Tony tho. I hope he gets another chance
