Emily could not be more spot on with her analysis of Laurel. And that is the exact reason why Laurel did not want Emily in the house anymore because she knew that Emily is on to her and knows her games.
She is also mistaken about Cara; she always tries to find scenarios where she is the victim. We have all witnessed her being hypocritical and power-hungry when she is in a leadership position. I recall three seasons where she and Paulie formed the largest alliance, and she was the most problematic, she is the most entitled, cocky and thinks she is better than everyone look at reunion season 39 tori and her argument she is filled with hubris its so annoying
I'm not sure why Bananas keeps dodging the Laurel Darrell massage incident! He totally skipped it last episode podcast, and now when Emily brought it up, since Emily is engaged in it, he immediately dodged it and asked her something else to avoid it! Is it his bias to Laurel or what is it? Cara has nothing to do with that.
I think Johnny sticks up for Laurel partially because like…would you want that kind of rage directed toward you? I’m not justifying it at all but it does seem like people appease her because as Johnny said in this episode, when you wrong her she won’t forget
@@bryanbowers9750 Maybe she shouldn’t of returned after a 10 year hiatus on a season that’s as big and competitive as this one? Shit even Cara had a couple tune ups before this.

Bananas, I love you! But.....Laurel is definitely a bully to Cara, that is NOT a big sister little sister relationship anymore and it hasn't been for years. I also understand that there are things we as fans do not see on TV, but, we still can't say that she's not a bully when clearly she's being one and is treating Michelle how she used to treat Cara in the beginning of their relationship.
I think laurel has behaved horribly on many occasions. But in this episode Cara was the instigator & provoker. she interjected herself into the michelle discussion in a very opportunist way. Then again entered the room further on to start another fight with laurel. Thats not a bully victim. They are as bad as each other. Cara plays the friendless victim when she actually has many allies.

And I agree with Emily that people , especially Bananas, keep justifying her behavior by saying it’s a “game” and it’s different. The problem is she’s bringing real life issues into the game and throws personal jabs at people all the time. It’s not just a game at that point. @@paulbartell Just the mtv editing for ya ahaha they coulda had that convo a week ago 🤣 but lmaooo my mans a auto target every 2 weeks & hasn’t even said a word to nobody
laurel is the problem…for as smart and as good of a competitor she is, she always has to be right and in charge….I would hate to be her partner in life….there is just no compromise….she may be different in real life but on the show she comes across as a prideful bully….she has gotten away with it because she is vindictive ….being bigger than most of the women has kept them from striking back for fear of being sent home by her….Emily is the first female she has seen as a real threat who could challenge her in the sand …so she had to send her home…it was a genius move for her game…so I can’t fault her for it but the cast mates who work with her may fault her for it in the future, there may have been some trust lost…..she does make great television
She didn’t send her home tho, like laurel brags about all stars and it’s like Cara was down there and you said you were going to send her home and backed down at a huge risk of not getting a star. (She also wouldn’t go in against Tori or Jenny either) We can’t speak for her outside of the show, but the idea that Johnny defends her on the show in mind blowing. The notion that the edit has hidden some secret behavior of Cara that justifies the absolute absurd behavior of laurel is crazy. I mean they showed the whole argument tonight and laurel is sitting there bullying Michele and Cara stands up for her which a decent person should do, and laurel goes off. Cara’s whole point that she made was “I’m not afraid of you anymore” and laurel decides to go for the low blows talking about relationships and stuff. She’s genuinely the worst person at least on the show. I personally find it hard to believe that outside of the show that’s a 180 flip as well lol I mean several of the people have talked about her doing the same things off the show as she does on. And all of that leave out the debate about rather someone who is confident and competitive would throw competitions and stuff
Love Emily overall but completely disagree with her saying the eliminations should be more physical. The fans don't want a cast full of athletes. We just want fair eliminations with clear rules that aren't a crapshoot.
Bananas not realizing everything was brought onto Laurel by her own actions. Just because you're her friend doesn't mean you try and justify everything she does. Take a beat and tell her, maybe she listens to you. Probably not but maybe don't be friends or heavily defend them when EVERYONE else who was there tell you she was in the wrong.
Laurel can be a good competitor but being a good person also matters. I really like bananas but it felt as though he wasn’t actually listening to what Emily had to say. She was pretty spot on and very aware of what is going on…
I like when Bananas have Emily on because she dictates the pace of the podcast and what they talk about. In some podcast episodes Johnny has to be the one to do it, he’s great at it but it’s refreshing when he could just hand over the keys and let someone else do it.I enjoyed listening to this podcast even the stuff they talked about that has nothing to do with the challenge. I completely agree with Emily view on the Laurel and Cara fight.
Emily got screwed over big time. It was definitely 💯rigged for Tina. Ct who was a professional construction worker couldn’t even knock the nails off the way Tina did. You have to be blind mice to think Tina really won on her own without production playing a role. This is the 2nd elimination that has been rigged this season. Also I feel bad for Cara supposedly there was more to there argument.
How could this elimination be rigged? It looked to me like Tina just went nuts and took all her aggression out on those nails. She seemed to hit them just right and at the right pace.
Devin was the one doing all the politics that season and positioning himself and Tori so that they would get to the final. If anything Devin carried Tori tbh. But they got lucky, both Jordan and Bananas had shit partners, otherwise they would’ve smoked Devin and Tori
Johnny would see it that way with Laurel and Cara. Defending Laurel. But Emily is spot on with Laurel. She shut Johnny up. Thank you Emily for pushing back on what Johnny said for making excuses for Laurel. Backlash from the fans is what she needs. That challenge needs to get rid of her. I would never let her energy near my animals. She has bad energy.
There's a difference between being strategic and playing your game to win - even being cutthroat, vs just being a mean spirited person - mimicking the DV that your teammate experienced in real life, bringing up other real life drama, bodyshaming and name calling.
Love this! So cosmic! ❤ it will happen for you both…organically. Thank you both for your truth & being an example of friendship that can happen with yin&yang
I really enjoyed Emily and this interview. I hope she come back on the challenge. she is the type of person I would enjoy being around. Cara need to have some meetings with her. Very insightful.
Johnny having to realize every issue everyone has with laurel is because laurel is about only laurel, she doesn’t have his back. She has “his back” if it happens to align with her she’s not actually in his corner lol Even in the flashback they show when laurel “stood up” for Cara, she only did that the one season they were partners and she literally had no choice but to depend on Cara outside of that they might have moments where they have talked and joked around, but outside of normal whatever conversation on the show at least she’s only ever been mean to Cara
People keep posting what you’re posting, but the show only has that flashback of Laurel standing up for Cara. And this is just my opinion but I think when Laurel said “I have/had your back” she wasn’t referring to game which is what you and everyone is posting about. Laurel and Cara have talked before many times about how Laurel helped her outside of the show and was there through everything she dealt with Abe. That’s what I think she meant about having her back but the show can’t show that since that was all off camera real life stuff. They could only show that random flashback.
@@PalmdalesAdonis I agree, but it isn't really having her back when she uses some of the things told to her in confidence during those times against her. I used to like Laurel, my first season of hers was ride or dies, and she seemed chill, but after watching fresh meat 2, free agents, all stars 4, its kinda hard not to just back out, and some of the nastiest things aren't even shown.
I sell insurance and when clients say I have to speak to somebody else to make a deal, it is a common objective. I’m surprised Nehemiah couldn’t overcome that since I remember him saying he was a financial advisor.
I hate how they keep using this dynamic to basically excuse vicious bullying.. Laurel is just evil. I don’t like Michelle, but her trying to approach Laurel to mend things and her response being like “no, I’ll never be ok with you.” And I feel like there has to be some mind manipulation bc I would just walk away and say “ok I tried.” Everyone, including Cara, seems to always want to get along with Laurel. It’s like Mean Girls lol
Yeah, it's a little sister/big sister dynamic - of one sister hating the other for no solid reason and the other one continously taking the abuse hoping that one day their sister will love them again. It's a toxic relationship. Not a sibling dynamic. Bananas always downplays Laurel's bad behavior.
Emily seems like a great person and she's always been an impressive athlete. There is honestly a group of us who really do want to see a season of more competition and less drama and politicking. Laurel may be a decent person in her normal life, but I don't find her entertaining at all -- and it's not in the "love to hate her" way -- it's in the way that I am tired of the dramatic bullying behavior and would rather skip it. Kind of wish there was a season to truly see who is the best competitor.
You are wasting your time making excuses for Laurel. Cara did the right thing when she approached Michelle. Laurel is a horrible person who I would be happy to never see again. If Cara poked her that is no excuse for what Laurel did. She's nasty and we're not blind Johnny, you need to stop defending her coz it is making you look bad.
I love emily and hope we get to see her back on the challenge. Emily is such a cool chick. She’s my type of vibe. I also think that people make to many excuses for Laurel. She’s a shit human being. Yes Cara should’ve just stayed out of it with Michelle and Laurel but I also understood where Cara was coming from.
Yeah. I was so confused about that too. Like.. did I miss something? Because this whole time I've been yelling at the TV about Laurel being so stupid for the whole Emily thing, like you want your team to be good because we have no clue what's going to happen. Now if it was told off the top that it's an individual win but there's teams at the beginning, her plays make sense kind of? But still.. too fucking early.

The way laurel is portrayed on the show makes her a monster bully. I truly hope you aren't lying when you say she isn't like that off the show...because she is dead to me.
I am so glad she mentioned her and Tina's boards not being the same. There is NO WAY Tina's nails were actually nailed into that board. They literally fell out just by touching them. Very clearly Emily's were. Era 1 is my era but that was not a fair fight. And I love Emily too.
What did cara do to u for u to be a bitter person towards her? You have been bullying her since forever hope to see some character development from cuz your almost 50 and still acting like 13 year old high school bully.

Johnny B you should get TJ on your show. I would love to hear about the Challenge from his view point and his opinions of the challengers. So much material to cover. Would love to see that show. 👍
He's done one with TJ
Loved this episode!!! i’ve always liked Emily’s vibe but man, she has fully blossomed into a beautiful soul.
Nobody:
Cast Mates: CT the biggest threat
Also cast mates: Auto target for Johnny every other choice, CT volunteered 😭
also funny Jonna brought up not wanting to volunteer because if she goes home she would feel stupid..... ct was who she was having the convo with 😆
@@paulbartell Just the mtv editing for ya ahaha they coulda had that convo a week ago 🤣 but lmaooo my mans a auto target every 2 weeks & hasn’t even said a word to nobody
I knew this season would rub her the wrong way and I was worried she wouldn't come back 😩 Please come back, Emily!! ❤
Emily seems like a genuinely amazing person
THE BEST interview yet!! 🔥🔥
Emily MUST come back! She has been missed
Johnny said it best in this weeks challenge, laurel wants to keep the big sis little sis complex going and Cara views them at equals and is over it
but you can tell cara is insecure about laurel beating her in Allstars. multiple confessionals on AS4 about only wanting to beat laurel
@@paulbartellTHANK YOU!!! That’s ALL that comes out of Cara’s mouth yet it seems like everyone forgets that!
laurel is the problem…for as smart and as good of a competitor she is, she always has to be right and in charge….I would hate to be her partner in life….there is just no compromise….she may be different in real life but on the show she comes across as a prideful bully….she has gotten away with it because she is vindictive ….being bigger than most of the women has kept them from striking back for fear of being sent home by her….Emily is the first female she has seen as a real threat who could challenge her in the sand …so she had to send her home…it was a genius move for her game…so I can’t fault her for it but the cast mates who work with her may fault her for it in the future, there may have been some trust lost…..she does make great television
She didn’t send her home tho, like laurel brags about all stars and it’s like Cara was down there and you said you were going to send her home and backed down at a huge risk of not getting a star. (She also wouldn’t go in against Tori or Jenny either)
We can’t speak for her outside of the show, but the idea that Johnny defends her on the show in mind blowing.
@@jacobhughes9010they didn’t show the whole fight they couldn’t, but Cara gave a behind the scenes
Love Emily overall but completely disagree with her saying the eliminations should be more physical. The fans don't want a cast full of athletes. We just want fair eliminations with clear rules that aren't a crapshoot.
NGL I LOVE EMILY NOW 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Bananas not realizing everything was brought onto Laurel by her own actions. Just because you're her friend doesn't mean you try and justify everything she does. Take a beat and tell her, maybe she listens to you. Probably not but maybe don't be friends or heavily defend them when EVERYONE else who was there tell you she was in the wrong.
Emily better be back every god damn season moving forward. She’s too awesome
Love Emily ❤ hope she comes back for more seasons
Laurel can be a good competitor but being a good person also matters. I really like bananas but it felt as though he wasn’t actually listening to what Emily had to say. She was pretty spot on and very aware of what is going on…
GREAT interview! She might be my new favorite
Emily is one of those people where you can’t help but smile when they talk
Great episode. Hope we see Emily again on the challenge!
Emily nailed it about laurel
Right it seemed to be cut from what they showed in the previews
Do you know how dumb you sound. If they were gonna rig it to keep someone it would be ct not Tina.
Notice 2 weeks in a row Era 1 seems to be getting a tad bit of assistance...
They flipped a coin to select which board they got. It wasn't rigged, it was again just poor design.
How could this elimination be rigged? It looked to me like Tina just went nuts and took all her aggression out on those nails. She seemed to hit them just right and at the right pace.
No male “champ” has ever been carried to being a champ like Tori carried Devyn
That wasn’t Tori carry Devin they won one mission and went into one elimination. The vacation alliance carried them both.
Devin was the one doing all the politics that season and positioning himself and Tori so that they would get to the final. If anything Devin carried Tori tbh. But they got lucky, both Jordan and Bananas had shit partners, otherwise they would’ve smoked Devin and Tori
46:43 they the same person fr 😂😂
48:56 and dawg i’m like we ain’t even getting Bananas confessionals 😭😭😭
Love Emily!! You need to do another show! You are a bad ass and true to who you are. You bring the calm.
Emily is a lovely soul!❤
Love this!
She has “his back” if it happens to align with her she’s not actually in his corner lol
Even in the flashback they show when laurel “stood up” for Cara, she only did that the one season they were partners and she literally had no choice but to depend on Cara outside of that they might have moments where they have talked and joked around, but outside of normal whatever conversation on the show at least she’s only ever been mean to Cara
Everyone loves Emily. She must do more! PLZ!
"duck, duck, goose?" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That just killed me. Bananas is a menace.
She's so precious ❤
I sell insurance and when clients say I have to speak to somebody else to make a deal, it is a common objective. I’m surprised Nehemiah couldn’t overcome that since I remember him saying he was a financial advisor.
So everyone told Johnny the same story on what happened but somehow he’s saying it’s still Cara’s Fault ?💀 stop with the little sister/big sister BS .
I mean, there was not a lie told here. 😅 Johnny is just on laurels side cuz he doesn't like cara
Wow as a fellow Capricorn sun and cancer moon, I related to almost everything she was explaining spiritually and just kinda blew my mind
Only 15 minutes in and I’m already loving the vibe of this episode🥳
Great interview! I love her!
I think laurel and Emily came together as mercenaries…that’s prob where laurel realized that Emily was a threat
I fucking love Emily since her real world DC days and I laughed so hard when she said to come and do “Horse therapy”
Defending Laurel is not a good look. What kind of sister reenacts their “sister’s” abuse? 🤢
Please do another season Emily you still have all your fans , we wanna see more of you gurl 😩🫶🏼
If I went to a Sarah McLachlan concert and Emily was singing instead, I would still think it was Sarah. Beautiful.
What a wholesome episode
Emily definitely mentioned a spoiler and it wasn't edited out. We have not been told that it's an individual winner.
I love stillness .its a big meditation thing i do and and !!! Im also trying to get more spiritually fit and physically fit and dragonfly’s lead you to the spiritual world .i feel like this drawing was for me .thanks for this 💝💯🔥
Emily and Ty on Exs was an iconic duo 😭😭😭
Great interview. I love her jacket. It was great to see her back on the challenge. I would like the challenge to go back to the best athletic performer, especially in the final (no popularity stars).
Since this podcast has become a PR for Laurel? How will u defend laurel when she dragged Darrel's marriage and giving malice about that massages? Is that another siblings b@llshits narrative again?
Dope conversations & interview!! Emily is very cool 🙌🏾😎🔥🔥🔥
Lol. I love that emily got Johnny to do/eat mushrooms! Hahaha. Thats what i took from this.... i wanna micro dose mushrooms now to fix some of my problems! 😅❤
Conditioned to wait to the last second is so real
About to take the bird quiz
I wanna go to a challenge retreat with emily, Johnny Bananas and other challengers! ❤
Love Emily so much! Great show! 😊
"Soapy Shower Sundays" im gonna ask my partner to do that tomorrow
loved this pod and love emily
I absolutely died when Emily did not get the epsn and espn2 joke lmao
I don’t get it either 😭😂
@@Hellstothenaw its ESP the ability not the sports channel
Wouldn’t laurel want to keep Emily on the team so there will be less chance of her being a target?
Emily is so beautiful inside and out I don’t say this often lucky guy would be her soulmate
The way laurel is portrayed on the show makes her a monster bully. I truly hope you aren't lying when you say she isn't like that off the show...because she is dead to me.
I stand with you on Laurel! If she doesn't want to be around you LEAVE HER ALONE
Totally agree with wanting to see the athleticism and challenges more than the turmoil. I can appreciate some occasional house drama , but prefer house parties and extreme challenges.
