Randomly met Bill in the club level 40 minutes before puck drop this preseason. He was just walking around the level shaking hands and talking to people. Three things stood out: 1. He was a complete stallion. 2. Very cool that the GM was just strolling around the concourse talking to fans because he wanted to connect. 3. Nice and genuine as could be. Go Wild.
Awesome! Bill Guerin was a dominant player in his day, I grew up watching him in the 90s and into the 2000s...ppl don’t realize cause he isn’t in the hall that maybe he wasn’t that good..he was good for a lot of years in the late 90s, and early 2000s! Great power forward! Loved the interview boys👍
From the 413. Billy G is a hockey legend! Really great, down to earth guy! Best of luck to your sons hockey career. Hopefully we will see another Guerin in the NHL!!
Loved him in Edmonton. I brought my son and nephew to a game in the spring. They wanted to wait for autographs afterwards. They left their winter coats in the car and it was starting to get cold. Billy G was the only player to sign autographs and not only that he gave them hell for not wearing their jackets. Ha, they wore them after that day. Great guy, loved having him in our city and always celebrated his success after that game.
This interview with Bill shows that he is so far into hockey that I'm confident he's gonna be the best GM my team has ever had. What a guy great interview as well. You guys obviously had the perfect questions and knowledge to take on anyone in a hockey interview.
Great interview. I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Guerin in Lake Placid, NY years ago at the World Junior evaluation camp. He was super nice, even though he was there with his kids.
This is incredible. You don’t get to hear from iconic hockey players and people in such a long form format too often. I’m so used to guarded press conferences or at most a silly television feature, so it’s so awesome to almost be able to hang out on the couch with some of these awesome NHLers.
@@chadgrov pretty sure there are some incredible segments on it if you watch the Pens 09 Stanley Cup DVD. Day one he was rippin Sid and Geno lol. Kept the group loose.
Gotta say, I really enjoy watching the podcast. I thought is was unnecessary to tape it when you started doing it, but watching the funny faces is just hilarious. Love it!
So crazy how players can be a part of a generation and then lead that same generation. Guys talented and healthy enough to play for 20 years are so lucky.
RA, you mentioned your Sudbury trip 2 episodes in a row.. Did you pick up a Sudbury dinner jacket ? lol. As for the Bobby Orr tingles..... you could be an honorary Canadian cause we all get them when we drive by Parry Sound and see THE sign. Keep up the great work Guys.
Fuck boys I love your stuff your so great with the way you deal with mental health situations I'm from nova scotia I played pick up and pond hockey nothing organized grew up poor but i really appreciate all of you you make my shit life good just listening to your interviews and story's thank you really helps me get through life more then even my 2 friends know keep going
I met Bill when I was a fourteen-year-old in Halifax on March 31 1993...after a Citadels/Devils game. That same night I also met Robbie Ftorek, Chad Erickson, Jim Dowd, Martin Brodeur, Corey Schwab, and Jarrod Skalde gave me his stick!
2:23:49 - No wonder Guerin doesn't remember this. Thornton's first 100 point season was the season after Guerin left, and he only had 1 more after that.
2:02:08 "Jacques Lemaire was hands down the best coach I ever had." No real surprise. Lemaire played under Scotty Bowman for 8 seasons, winning 5 Cups under Bowman, and 8 Cups ('68, '69, '71, '73, '76, '77, '78, '79) in total.
that shows how desperate the oilers have to be - it will be a mistake especially with a young team - I don't care what he can do - score, hit, fight potentially - the baggage is way too much - to bring that into your room - is asking like the titanic asking for an iceberg
Did anyone notice how he brushed right past Ted Nolan as a coach in the NHL? I think it is very obvious that he is persona no grata in the coaching ranks.
2:51:13, 3:17:00 "The coach has the most powerful thing in the game, and that's ice time. And if you give me what I want, I'll give you what you want, and I'll put you on the ice. But if you don't, I won't- I won't put you out there."

Thanks for sharing
That’s awesome.
How do you know he was a stallion?
Y🎉
There is no crew out there interviewing Guerin better than this… cheers boys, keep hitting up Guerin.
As a MN Wild fan, I cannot tell you how happy it makes me knowing this man is our GM
Why? You cuckin?

Bill Guerin is the absolute best, love having him as our GM!

"They'll be cold....but they might all be gone." Had me rollin.
Much love Billy G, from Western MA!! You’ll always be a legend around here!!
Gary Dineen hockey Springfield Olympics RIP. Formerly Springfield Kings. He passed April 1st 2006. Great mentor for Billy.
This interview with Bill shows that he is so far into hockey that I'm confident he's gonna be the best GM my team has ever had. What a guy great interview as well. You guys obviously had the perfect questions and knowledge to take on anyone in a hockey interview.
Billy G is such a class act. One of my favorite players from the 09 cup run. Great interview, boys!
Me too, he was an important piece that year.

One thing I fondly remember about Billy G joining the Pens was his elite shit talk game. Glad to see some things never change.
I don’t recall his shit talk game as much. Guys weren’t as mic’d up then I guess

Billy ‘Grit’ GUERIN ! !
1:15:08 The gif was from last year’s playoffs. You can see on the screen behind McPhee that it’s during the Vegas-Montréal series.

1:55 Like the picture of Biz's dogs in sweaters.
Masshole native and proud of it

I can't see biz's eyes 🤣🤣
The level of respect they have for Bill Guerin is top notch, never seen them apologize so much for interrupting usually its just bananalands
I have 2 Pitt powder blue sweaters.. a signed Crosby, and an unsigned Billy G. Need to get that one signed to hang with the other.

Biz’ look alike is Jon Bernthal (the punisher tv show)
When Mike Green was in Washington his nickname was "Game Over Green" because of his ability to score Game Winning Goals.

Whits Sunday smoked some pink kush, drank some pink whitney, and seasoned the driveway with pink himalayan salt in his pink jersey. What a goon.

PJ Predhomme I agree it’s not the right move
Love Bill . That prick and the USA team cost me $6000 when they beat Canada in 96. Made me sick to my stomach. USA played unbelievable 👏

Brent Burns had 29 and 27 goals in back to back seasons, pretty decent
Did anyone notice how he brushed right past Ted Nolan as a coach in the NHL? I think it is very obvious that he is persona no grata in the coaching ranks.
NHL lookalikes: Alex Ovechkin and Mr. Larson from Happy Gilmore.
2:51:13, 3:17:00

Finally some canes praise! Best in the league!!!
Stevie Y one of the greats
At what time do they talk Habs?
So, basically no Minnesota talk with GM? Or did I missed it?
Billy G took to Pittsburgh like a duck to water.
Anyone got a bead on the commercial they're talking about at @2:07:06 ?
Biz is RIPPED
Need to stop with the sabres hate, Biz! You wanna talk about how a D1 college team could beat the sabres? Dude, your yotes are a fucking varsity team.
