David Carle and Jay Pandolfo are the coaches of the future. Jay Woodcroft for me is still very high for me. Manny Mahlhotra and some of the ex players intrigue me. I hope America hosts more U20 WJC. You can grow the game that way. Broadcast it on TNT/ESPN 2. The US hosts a lot of the U18 championships and I think they should do Canada, United States and Europe and just alternate every other year. I hope David Carle can get a job in the show soon. I hope he becomes the coach of one of the expansion teams Atlanta, Phoenix or Houston. Hopefully Milwaukee, Kansas City and Quebec City get some consideration. Also if Canada does bad at the 4NFO I think Scott Salmond will be relieved of his duties of the VP of the Program of Excellence. He is usually the hockey Canada liaison for the men's tournaments.
Tournament makes 3x more money in Canada then it does anywhere else and tickets are cheaper, it’ll always be dominantly played in a Canadian city, even the Halifax Moncton to the y made more than Ottawa lol, Minnesota is a good place to do it but usa doesn’t sell out the games that aren’t played by the big countries. Meanwhile Canada sells out the relegation game. I could see Europe getting more before the usa ever does.
I think they could use some puck/player tracking technology to determine that a play is offside, and if so, something could vibrate or sound an alert to an official who'd then stop play. It would eliminate the need for an offside challenge as well. But if that's not something the league is interested in doing, I have no appetite for eliminating the challenge. If the play is offside and a goal is counted anyway, that's a bigger problem. No one should want games to be decided by a blown call.
But how would a sensor in the puck ever know when a player's skate crossed the blue line? You could maybe come up with some tracking tech that told the linesman when the puck completely crossed a blue line but it's still up to them to look to see if any other player entered the zone before that time. We're going to be stuck with video review in all sports from hockey to tennis to soccer for a long time. I agree with you, I'd rather have video reviews than a blown call.
I could see the bruins being a more likely landing spot for him especially if they don’t have the best year this year, they still have pieces, closer than the hawks are, and he will have loads of money for some FAs, not to mention the guy probably brings over a couple Denver guys that he sees an upside in that may not be drafted.
David Carle will be a Stanley Cup Winning Head Coach in the Future, you would have to be stupid not to want him. If I was Auston Matthews and Jack Hughes I would be begging Maple Leafs and Devils to hire him
I will say not many people probably know of the guy but gardiner mcdougall can coach…. He doesn’t have the resume of carle, but I think he’ll be Canadas coach next year at the WJC, currently coaching in the Q but the guys a winner, his previous teams have all been ridiculous
The addition of Carrier is huge for the Habs. Almost as important as Lainie's return from injury
Vatrano is smart to get the deferred money. Great for the team. Vatrano will be cashing checks for 20 years. Brilliant.
Carle should stay at DU until Avalanche needs a new head coach. Otherwise why leave such a great set-up for the hire-fire NHL.

Eliot. “How did Buium slip to 13th??” Best player on the ice all tournament
Carle to the Hawks. Loads of young prospects, Conor Bedard, he would be a perfect fit with an interim coach currently
They just got a new coach which is doing kinda well... Makes no sense..

Don’t worry Friedman, sportsnet won’t fire you😂

Please stay at the University of Denver!
Right? Set up for life there.
Montreal Canadiens should also be begging David Carle to come to Montreal
Don't forget Feldbergs and having played each game for Latvia.
Flyers should fire torts and go for David Carle 100%. Danny briere played with his brother Matt so already a good connection there
Briere? The guy with such judgment that his kid threw a handicapped girls wheelchair down a stairway? Yeah. Great idea.
David Carle is a good coach who should make to jump to the NHL. Some of the teams need to stop using the coaches' merry-go-round.
Sabres should go for Carle. Young team, might be good fit
Please Kyle Davidson make a call for Carle
No, no, no! We want him to stay at Univ. of Denver!
What about Winnipeg as a Stanley Cup contender?
Let's see if they can actually get out of the first round without collapsing before planing the parade route. Fool me once......

Back-to-back gold medals but the Russians didn't play. Still a good win but Canada did it when Russia was playing, just saying.
cope
Blah blah blah but Canada.
