After I beat the game I as actually kind of surprised a lot of people say it's a pain. I actually found it quite fun. Encounters were a bit much, but it wasn't a bother until the Cathedral.
Its only really a pain at specific points due to vagueness or backtracking. Most of the game is a breeze especially if you know what your doing. Not like it has anything super stupid like the Masakado quest in SMT2.

There's also a quest where it is mandatory that you have a magic stat of 10 or higher but that's not too big of a deal as long as you know about it ahead of time.
So we got reincarnation of Adam and eve plus half demon guy alongside not jesus guy against the whole world...... Oh and let's not forget about Pascal the dog.
@@sanctityninja9345 it doesnt have nearly as much bullshit in the main story as some of the other old smt games, making it a good place to start if you are interested in the older smt games (though i will admit, progresion quite confusing and you will get stuck easily if you dont follow a guide).
I don't want to see Persona 1 pushed even further away than the PSP version did. If someone could just bring the English script over to the PC port, then things would be perfect.

I'm literally learning japanese specifically so I can play the entirety of the mega ten franchise from start to finish and this game is one that made me want to play the others a lot of people don't like it because the graphics and mechanics are "dated" first of all age shouldn't be considered a flaw in a game. Second that's your opinion as I find the mechanics great. Just because the technology back then would allow for mechanics like persona 5 doesn't mean the mechanics are bad.
I agree with your point the programmers doing that time are not as advanced as ours but they should enjoy the game for what it is but there can be somethings that people don’t like which affects the over all enjoyment of the game.
