I just made this out of cardboard today and it turned out great i had to make the mask slightly shorter and more narrow to fit my face but all in all it looks perfect!! Im gonna blast the seams with a heat gun to get rid of the hot glue look, paint it, add the straps and eyes and then ill be done. Great tutorial thanks man
Thank you for this tutorial! I’m making mine out of cardboard (as I am commenting, so hopefully it turns out alright) to test what I need to adjust. I really needed a mask for my cosplay, as for the past few times I’ve worn it, I haven’t looked as recognisable.
The mask turned out awesome! There are a few flaws on my part from not being able to print out the template, but other than that, it looks really good!
It went well! It’s a bit flawed, but I it went better than I thought it would. I ended up making the eyes out of some weird scrap fabric thing (I have no clue what it was, it was easily tearable though) and poked larger holes in them so I can kind of see. For having no printed template, some hot glue wounds, and a bad time cutting the cardboard, I’d say it turned out better than I had expected it to (my own skills weren’t all that great first times I attempted to make props), but your tutorial may have been one of the best things. It was nicely explained. Thank you! (I’ll credit/tag you whenever I post what the mask turned out like)
I will try this thank you so much!!! By the way, can you make green power ranger foam helmet ? Cus the actor passed away, awesome childhood to some people , in a way its like tribute to him, thanks!!
Not gonna lie when I saw the mask I thought it was 3d printed like my version is however with mine I don't have the eye part so you have gotten a way cooler one
Thanks. It was surprisingly how well I got the sizing on this one, first go. I got those lenses on Amazon. I think the tagged as Ironman or Batman glowing lenses or something like that. I bought a bunch, in different colors. Now I just need to find builds to put them it. 😁
Hi I just watched ur video and prepared the mask it's amazing. Just wanted some help. My corners are not sticking together perfectly. Can you please add how to cut a slant cut on the foam on at least one of the foam pieces
There are some really good tutorials here on RUclips of skill building videos. I have thought about making some short clips to help beginners. Cosplay Apprentice has a great playlist of foamsmithing that you should go check out
@@MuchProps thanks I'll check it out. I stumbled upon ur video by chance but now I'm looking forward to what other masks or cosplay you make. I hope more people view this and subscribe, you deserve it. Suggestion : Please make a video on any mainstream anime prop or masks so the algorithm can pick this up and you can grow 👍
are you breathing okay in it?? i need to know as i am someone who've made this mask before but had no ability to breathe in it for a longer time so i've been looking if others who have worn this mask, had also troubles breathing in it or not. pls let me know thank you and also amazing tutorial i'll definitely remake my mask with the lights in it
I have not worn it for an extended period of time, but it is not super tight on my face. The design has big holes on the sides that make for descent circulation .
I have definitely thought about it. It would be a cool one to tackle. Don't think I could get that Chrome finish like they have but it is a cool design
Maybe. It's like a vinyl material, so I would assume so. I've never worn it for an extended period of time. I'm sure the holes on the sides help to vent it a little.
bro have the mask of the sniper of invasion in the heights, saludos desde peru me gusta demasiado tus videos te sigo desde que vi el video de la mascara de la llama de fortnite :)
I sell almost everything I make. Unless it is for a full cosplay build, which this particular one will be. I have a link to my Etsy shop in the description below the video
We appreciate your videos! Thanks so much Much Props! 😊
I appreciate you watching and commenting

Love your work. Hands down my favorite cosplay channel. Keep up the good work.

This looks awesome and simple… ish. Will attempt to do one, wish me luck.
Good luck. Let me know how it goes
Aahhh love watching Your videos while crafting things myself

Good luck!! For this build, it doesn't have a lot of curves, so it should be doable. Let me know how it goes.

Always a better tutorial, congratulations and thanks for your beautifull job
😁👊 appreciate it
I can't wait to see the full costume
It should be pretty epic
thats awesome. pls make a thor chestplate
Thanks for the suggestion
That's a pretty cool build. It kinda looks like a Robin mask. Batman and Robin in case you were wondering not the bird. Cuz bird is the word.
LOL. I got the reference. Red Hood also has just an eye covering mask, which I never really understood how that protects their identity.
A nice mask this is , i liked the color and build
Thanks. My favorite part is those LED lights
@@MuchProps indeed , the LEDs ads more character to the mask and it looks dope
Awesome job buddy.
Thanks man
Yessss!!! That's awesome!!!!
👊 thanks
Halloweens coming up so i might surprise my son thanks for the video!
Tat would be epic. Glad I could help
marvelous
Thanks
That mask is fire🔥, have u considered making a full on Red Hood helmet? would love to make one!
Thanks. I have plans to do a full cosplay at some point. And a helmet would definitely be on the list too
@@MuchProps damn, nice!
Very nice sir 👌 pls make batman helmet. Please

looks really good yet again, just wondered if anyone has ever mentioned making the helmet from The Last Duel with Matt Damon in it
Glad you liked it, and thanks for the suggestion

This turned out looking absolutely amazing! Sadly i cant find the template in the description?
Lol. Templates are always uploaded the next day. It's an extra couple hours to edit them, scan them in, and format them. It is up now, last link
@@MuchProps thank you so much!
I didn't have much luck trying to even the two sides of the full helmet, so I'll be trying this one instead.😅
Maybe this one will be easier for you. It's a pretty cool mask and a lot more comfortable to wear than that helmet anyway.

inward or outward angles when you cut it out?
Inward. Each part has highlighted edges telling you where to cut the angles. Also read the cover page of the template
hey! ive got a smaller head 😅 any tips on shortening the pieces for the mask?
@@neitherpoet i have a video showing you how to scale masks. ruclips.net/video/rfWS8JNyc18/видео.htmlsi=rdVucM6tCi_xUFRs

Have you ever thought about doing a cylinder mask from Battlestar Galactica
Cylon
I have definitely thought about it. It would be a cool one to tackle. Don't think I could get that Chrome finish like they have but it is a cool design
Car silver spray paint then clear spray paint then polish to a shine with buffing pads it would be a show piece not a wear piece
Dude that's bat-ass!!!!
Thanks 😁
Does card board work also what type of foam
For this build cardboard would be a decent alternative. The Foam I use is EVA foam. I list out the sizes in the description and on the template.
Is it possible to do a Black Phone mask build?!
Haven't seen it yet but heard it was pretty good
can you make red hood helmet next
Thanks for the suggestion
Always love your vids everything always turns out amazing. Any chance of making the Foundations helmet from Fortnite?
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the suggestion
Amazing... Can you make mecha team leader helmet from fortnite!
Thanks.
The lenses are anti fogness?
Maybe. It's like a vinyl material, so I would assume so. I've never worn it for an extended period of time. I'm sure the holes on the sides help to vent it a little.
Do you see throught those lenses?
With them off or when they are on in a light room, yes. If they are on in a dark room, no
How do you get your edges straight?
Lots of practice. And being careful during glue up

Can you do red hood ronin?
I am debating on a couple of designs for the full helmet. Might do a poll or something to have people help me decide
I haven't been able to find the template for the mask is it still available?
Click on the description under the video. It is the last link at the bottom.
Found it thank you
Do you know how to make the "Reaper Dracula" Skin mask from Overwatch?
