I am super pumped to hear you get nervous about builds still...I get the same way....but then Once I get over it in my head I surprise myself often. Thanks in large part to the skills you helped me procure. Thanks
Often, the biggest hurdle in a build is yourself. I think it is important for other people to know that even someone with thousands of hours of crafting can still have self-doubt. 👊
I really like the extra layers on the bat emblem and your foam quick release buckles are a great replacement for real ones. I made the SKS chest and all I did over the plastidip was a quick black wash to even out the color.
Thanks. I watched his videos and seriously thought about just modding his for a bit. Since I already made my helmet, I wanted to make the chest armor and all my other built items tie back into each other.
Came out incredible, Thomas. I share a lot of your building anxieties. Kinda shaped funny myself and it makes me crazy trying to make things to fit me. I love the design. Maybe I'll try a mix of yours and Steve's. Trying to choose one or the other would just make me crazy. Thanks for all your hard work and thank you for sharing with us!
For sure. A lot of people just assume all these builds come easy to me, and it's nice to peel back the curtain to let everyone know I share some of the same struggles. Mix and matching templates could make it pretty epic. This is only my 2nd chest armor I have ever made so I am pretty happy with the direction it is going
Hi im just on the intro right now but i love your work and wanna ask that if you ever have the time could you possibly post a short video of the props and items you didn't make (also possibly where/how you got them)? Because its so difficult to get a clear view of his costume and i think it would be good for inspiration Thank you you're genuinely so creative and all your props and cosplays are so impressive good luck on all your future and current projects :)
For sure. When I make the final build of this series where I have my photoshoot, I will lay out all the purchased items and why I made the decisions that I made. A lot of it can be guesswork. I worry less about what is accurate and more on what I think looks cool. This one has been in limbo for a while and I need to put the finishing touches on it for sure.
LOL. After this one, I have a Ghostbusters cosplaybto build. Full cosplays are a tall order to put out there. Not to say it won't happen, but you could take bits from this cosplay and mod it towards a Batman build.
I buy my foam in bulk, typically a closet full at any given time. So I don't really keep track of how much a project takes up. But if you where to tackle this chest armor, getting a roll (24" X 60") of each thickness that I used (10 mm, 6 mm, 4 mm, and 2 mm), you would have enough for this build and probably close to enough for the full armor set if you get you parts close enough together.
@BenicioMolina.7_7 The size paper the template was scanned into the computer is 8.5 inches by 11 inches. It says it on the cover letter of the template. A4 is 8.27 inches by 11.69 inches, so if printed to fit A4 it will skew all the parts. If you Google "how to print letter size on a4 paper", it should help you to size it properly.
I bought these custom bits from a maker who went by Arcane Armoury several years ago. He did a machine run of them and posted it to one of the Facebook groups. I jumped on it and ordered a set. It actually has the ability to stack two sanding drums on one. I am just using a single in the video, but I absolutely love his bits. I don't know that he still makes them, but you could look him up on FB.
@@MuchProps I figured bc I have looked everywhere on a few continents looking for something similar. I thought about just making a Dremel bit extension...still a thought
Body armor is daunting for me. I download all kinds of templates, but I'm so short nothing will fit me without modification. And knowing I will have to adjust just makes me scared to start!
Same for me, but in the opposite direction. This is only my second chest plate, so I was pretty nervous to tackle it. My first was some Fallout armor, and it doesn't fit me great, but the bulkiness of the design made it wearable for short periods of time. Hopefully, this one will be more comfortable
@@MuchProps oh ok. I was planning to make Yon3dr's golden scepter by using your yonder mask template and I even use that template to make the gold version of the mask.
Hey, i'm a super fan of your work and i gonna ask i you could make tha devil mask from ghost recon wildlands called "el tio mask" it's so cool and i really want to learn how to make it
@@MuchProps thanks 😊, i wondering that myabe one day you'll make that mask because it's really cool, and also the other masks that has the game, because ghost recon wildlands has really good masks
#muchprops if you do this again use serran wrap on your upper torso and have your wife duct tape half of your left or right side of your torso front and back same side and them heat shrink the duct tape for a form fit body armor template /pattern so that you dont have to guess whats what anymore

Love it Thomas, can’t wait for the whole cosplay, love the channel man
I am probably going to try and knock out several in a row to stay focused. I still have a Ghostbusters build inwant to tackle, too.

so cool man how about a full batman build

Awesome! What happened to the back porch light cover?😂
😄 diversifying my random round objects 🤣
Hello, your work is amazing. I'm just starting out, inspired by your projects and models. Could you tell me how much EVA foam this model uses?
I buy my foam in bulk, typically a closet full at any given time. So I don't really keep track of how much a project takes up. Man this looks awesome... very cool maestro 😊
Thank you very much
What size should i print? I just printed the whole file on A4 sheets and it turned out some parts are way bigger than what they should be.

Hey My Guy the first rotary tool or bit looks like it's longer. What is it ....an extension? I run into a need for an extension often is why I ask

Is poster paper good for any of your templates?
I used poster paper to make my templates. You can use basic copy paper or cardstock if you are going to just print out one of mine.

make mechamaru helmet from jjk ❤
Thanks for the suggestion
Can you make optimus primal helmet from beast wars (1996) please
Thanks for the suggestion

Thanks for the suggestion. That would definitely make for a form-fitting armor. I'll keep that in mind for my next body armor build.
