I would just love to say that I genuinely enjoy watching Featr's content now more than ever. Thank you Erwan and team for continuously producing really good videos that spark conversations about Filipino food & its various aspects. Ever since the rebrand, I found myself looking forward to watching more videos like this and the short documentaries on Ube, and the Ifugao Etag & traditional ceremonies revolving around food. Keep doing amazing work, always looking forward to the next video!
Thanks for the love!
100%
Etag isn't just exclusive to the igorots and ifugao my brother.. we the manobos of Mindanao also do and eat etag
so TRUE... same here... wasn't interested before.. but now its more engaging... Keep on doing this kind of Docu series about food and people FAT KID!!!
Intelligent Chef 👊 Out-of-the-box type 👍 Good, good Job chef Erwann 👏👏👏👏👏💯💚💚💚
I used to work with Chef Leah here in NYC and she’s the best!!! She’s very proud of our culture. ❤️❤️❤️
Erwan's intelligence and well roundedness is evident in every episode plus, mahusay makibagay sa kahit sinong tao. Galing talaga. Sincere. Hindi ka ma imtimidate. Marunong makibagay at makisama.
I'm a big fan of Erwan because he's a well-rounded individual. He's not just a pretty face, but he's also intelligent, humble, and down-to-earth. He's always willing to learn new things and share his knowledge with others. I'm particularly impressed by his passion for food and his commitment to promoting Filipino and Mindanaon cuisine. I didn't even know that Palapa is made from a special scallion. Amazing!
I even dreamt that I replaced Anne in his life 😂 Chos! But I am a huge fan too! ❤

As someone who grew up together with the Muslim community in our city, I really appreciate that there are local RUclips channels like this that feature this cuisine. Very underrated but also very flavorful. I hope Muslim food gets featured a lot. Now that I have moved to a bigger city, I always introduce my friends to beef rendang and other Muslim food and they always love it especially those who enjoy spicy food.
Can't even begin to explain how Erwan is just doing God's work for Pinoy food. Felt so raw and real and honest. Idk why but I was getting Before Sunset vibes from their walks and conversations?? Kudos FEATR!! Where can I buy merch??
Pag talaga FEATR or erwan vlogs pinapanood ko kase alam mong may quality at well researched. Yung siksik at pinagisipan at hindi minadali yung content. Been a fan and avid watcher for 5 years now. This is the type of vlogs that enriches your life 😊. Hoping na marami pang Pinoy manood nito specially mga kabataan natin para maging culturally aware tayo.
I love this kind of sound quality. Clear and crisp in their conversation but not clearing out the surrounding sound, making it more authentic and relatable.
It's quite interesting to know how Maranao food is more of an Indonesian food - the green curry sauce, the chili/sambal, duck/bebek and how they describe the smell. What you see is what you get. And it's Far different from what we have in the North. Also, I admire how Erwan showcases the diversity of Filipino food (and how he revolutionize them) which made me want to explore more of our own. Keep it up! -Filipino expat here in Indonesia
Erwin is truly an ambassador of Philippine culture. I’ve learned so much from him when it comes to geography, cuisine and way of life . I strongly believe that the Phil government should give him recognition for his research and effort and for opening our eyes and minds in the beauty of the Philippines . He has explored the regions in the Phil that are not known to many of us, specially in Mindanao. Truly, he is an amazing person.
This is where i got my travel style - watching erwan vids from years ago. Travel means food and culture. Bonus na sa sceneries
Erwan is not just the typical vlogger who creates content just for the sake of having a content.. he puts so much effort into his craft and his contents are well-thought, relevant and with substance. Surely, a reflection of how he is as a person.. full of substance
Leah Cohen's sisig in her New York restaurant is the best I've had in NY. I think her secret ingredient in her sisig is the hint of bagoong on it. Or my tastebuds got it wrong.
Before, I only know Erwan as "Anne Curtis' husband." But now, I can't get enough of his videos and how more knowledgeable he is than I am as a Filipino, considering I'm a full-blooded one. My new idol and I'm looking forward to more adventures and videos from him.
Grabe talaga, Erwan's knowledge of Filipino cuisine is really admirable
Omg I just found her channel and watched her adobo recipe this morning. My pork belly is now on our fridge and will cook it tomorrow for lunch! 🫶
Leah Cohen is just one of many Filipino’s in America that’s making a name for themselves. Tim Flores and Genie Kwon are one of first Michelin star restaurant owners in Chicago. Comerford, is a chef the executive chef for the White house just to name a few.
Galing! Yan ang Pinoy, pinakikilala kung ano at sino tayo. Nakakabilib ka Erwan ❤
Dare I say this episode reminded me of Anthony bourdain’s no reservation show. It’s good, informative conversations about our culture, history, food and interpersonal connections that explains who we are as people, as a country. I can watch these type of episodes endlessly. Spectacular job Erwan and featr crew. Looking forward to the next episode. ❤❤❤
Indonesian fans here❤ I love Filipino food and Erwan is my fav Filipino French chef🥰
Erwan has a penchant for turning mundane Pinoy food and ingredients into something very cool, thus elevating people's appreciation for it. I always walk away feeling very satisfied after watching his stories. Because I learned something.
He's a man with a vision, he sticks with it, and delivers every time!
I agree with the "slow burn" of how the world is finally getting to know Filipino cuisine in general might be the safest way especially since the world has been familiarized with Asian and Southeast Asian cuisines. The best part about Filipino cuisine is, as this episode suggests, encompasses a variety of dishes from the south to the north. Once again another great episode Featr! Thank you!
Hey Erwan! Been a fan since you started this channel. Thank you for continuing to educate us about Filipino culture and cuisine. As a Filipino, I still have a lot to learn about my country.
As an alien 👽 from Alpha Centauri star system, I have tried almost all Filipino food.
What a coup to spend time with Leah Cohen and talk about your Filipino roots. Well done!
Wow I didn’t know her mom is Filipino. So proud of you Erwin n Leah . I will look for your place on my visit to NY this sept - Bay Area resident
Loooovvveee how Erwan eats a lot using his hands. What a soulful sight!
Putting coconut milk in the adobo also creates a velvety texture. Great cuisine always evolves. Really enjoyed their vision and approach to filipino food culture.
Erwan is a great host! Well versed on Filipino food culture and history. That's why am a big fan, he knows his stuff.
Been a fan of Erwan for a while now. Loved his videos because it shows that he really is invested and interested in Filipino culture and everything. And he also seems like such an intelligent person. More quality videos, please.🙏🏻
I love your videos because they are really well produced - the quality of the videos is on par or even better sometimes than those that are made by big tv networks. Also, the channel does not dwell on what's popular just to get views, it also features certain topics that are needed to be given attention to, like our calamansi and ube production. Keep up the good work, FEATR team!
🍻❤️👋 Wow! One of the best Top Chef is a proud Pinoy. Thanks Chef Leah for promoting the Filipino Cuisine. Kudos to Erwan for being the Best Pinoy Food Ambassador. 🍾😍😘❤️
Erwan is everything! When it comes to food!❤🎉
i love how well thought out and detailed this video is. we usually don't see filipino food being introduce this way: dynamic and extensive, not limited to method or practice which was so nice and exciting. it really warms my heart to finally see true filipino food being experienced on reel with familiarity that even us filipinos would definitely vouch that its the real deal
Erwan is very resourceful, w/ filipino cuisine He puts pinoy history when discussing pinoy culinary arts.
Ang sarap Ng kwentuhan nyo po kasing sarap Ng kinakain nyo. Nakakabusog Yung conversation nyo. Kaya gusto ko na Rin magpunta Ng Quiapo. At magdiscover Ng iba't ibang food. Salamat sa Video na ito. Sobrang inspiring at nagising diwa ko. Actually half guilty Rin ako kase, mabuti pa kayong mga mestizo nakakagawa Ng paraan para maipagmalaki Yung mga pagkaing Pinoy samantalang Yung mga puro, e gusto laging mga pagkain sa ibang bansa Ang pinagmamalaki Yung bang tipong mas gusto pa nilang ipagmalaki Yung street food Ng ibang bansa, kesa sa street food dito sa Pinas. Kaya Salamat sa pagembrace nyo sa pagiging Pilipino nyo. 😊
Thanks for watching!
That's why i love watching all the videos of FEATR,😅Prang nsa pinas nrin aq,while watching feel q busog na busog narin aq😂

Wow, just wow. This channel is so underrated. This episode is full of substance. Kudos to erwan and the team
Wow! Leah Cohen is in PH! I loved her during the 5th Season of Top Chef. Thanks @FEATR for the upload!
Amazing! i did not know she is half pinay! gonna visit her restaurant once am in NY.
FEATR Quality Food and Travel Videos .. Erwan and his team are doing amazing job and this is remarkably no. 1 for me ,Good Vibes and straight to the point no ka ek-ekan ...
Thanks Erwan and team for the nakakabusog na content mentally and visually.
Tbh the more I watch your episodes featuring different Filipino regional cuisine the more I feel I have so much to learn about its diverse food and culture myself 😅 Hats off for going the road less travelled in your contents/production! Love this collab with Chef Leah! Thank you both for showing the world what and how Filipino cuisines are made of. ❤❤❤
I think Erwan should always be the one in the video introducing all the different food in the Philippines. 🎉
Bitin naman! More chef leah content please. Super fan of top chef!
Erwan, well said about the way you described the pancit palabok. Definitely a fusion of influences but surely very Filipino. Kudos
Big fan of Leah. So glad she took the time to get on the channel
In northern luzon people would put freshly squeezed coconut milk and annatto seed, only for color, to their native chicken adobo. It's very good.
Yes, Adobo sa Gata is totally a thing! Filipinos have been making that kind of adobo for a very long time. Don’t listen to those haters, Leah. 😊 Keep following your finely honed culinary instincts. ❤️
A lot of these foods are what child hood comforts delicacy. It's only appreciated when you can remember growing up and eating when you was a child.
I studied in MSU Marawi City and I am amazed at how well versed you are with Maranao Food. So awesome!
I am so amused listening to your conversation. I learned a lot from both of you. Thank you for guesting Chef Leah. It makes this video not only entertaining
but also informative and educational. Kudos to you Erwan. A follower from Melbournes saying Thank you.
Top chef leah very incredible chef yet so humble a true filipino trait ,so proud of you leah 👏
One of the best Filipino fusion restaurant in the west coast is in san diego and it is called ANIMAE. The chef is very nice. It is a fusion but the flavor profile of their filipino dishes is still there. Even if you are blind folded you will recognize what you are eating.
Awesome! I watched Chef Lisa's Top Chef batch. Congratulations on getting your dual citizenship.
I have watched only a few of your videos thus far. I find them interesting. Also, I appreciate the effort. I look forward to more of these videos. Watching them also remind me of my own experiences. I have been blest to go around the country and immerse with the local communities as I practised my profession then. It has always been my practise to check out the markets wherever I went. Not just for the technical side of my job. Simply, I firmly believe that if one wants to get to know the community, a visit to the market can be a revelation. I can relate a lot with your efforts as well since I am also a food enthusiast. But then again, I am Filipino and we Filipinos bond with family and friends over food. Sometimes, make new friends with food too, with lots of genuine smiles.
The Philippine culture is diversity itself. It's just a pity that even many Filipinos in these times are almost only familiar with cuisine from Metro Manila, the big modern cities or those from the more popular regions/provinces like Bicol and Pampanga and think of them as entirely representative of Philippine cuisine. Actually, it's not even just with food. Fashion, practices, etc. are quite different from each region/province. Anyway, Maranao food is Filipino food, of course. It may be similar to Indonesian or another neighbour's food -- we do share some things with our Asian neighbours apart from influences from Chinese, Spanish, American, etc. (just like in music, exposure to others means many influences from all around) -- doesn't mean to say they are so and so dishes. All you're experiencing throughout the whole country is the summation of FILIPINO food. The need to relate it to previous experiences elsewhere is understandable. That's very human. Still, in the end, unlike some, I have never made excuses for our food (maalat, oily, unhealthy daw, weird, etc.). I can only be proud of our own culinary culture -- from Batanes to Jolo.
21:33 adobo in gata (coconut milk_ is my fave type of adobo and using native chicken. my father used to tenderize the chicken meat in the gata first then put the adobo ingredients. it so good especially if you add spices like sili. it's like almost pulutan-
like food
I really like the content this channel produces,it has more depth ,the detail is amazing compare to your usual food channel. Keep up the good work.
Your so unique Po I'm your silent fan thank you for always featuring our culture maranao fan here watching from k.s.a Saudi Arabia☺️
Erwan, who's been your favorite guest/ person to talk to? Seems like you are really interested in each person. It's nice to see an authentic ""travel/ cuisine""" show. Thanks for all you do for our people and country x
I put coconut milk in my adobo and my friends in finland loved it. I am bicolana❤
yung kakakain mo lang pero ginutom ka ulit 😭 this is good, more with chef leah 😊
I love her! I have a copy of her book Lemongrass and Lime. I am so excited to try Pig and Khao when I go back to New York. Great Episode as always Featr! 🎉❤
Awesome!! Erwan good job!! You definitely hit all points and showed the filipino food where some places are still unknown!! Awesome!! This could be the next journey for the Filipino Journey to Mysterious Food!!
I just love you guys love Filipino food cause my kids are half like you guys dang I better let them visit Philippines and you guys are digging it proud Filipino food right on o yeah my niece lives in queens new York yamsayin
For some reason, I weirdly got goosebumps when she mentioned my culinary travel idols - Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern.
I was lowkey expecting Ninong Ry to do a dropby when you got to Malabon, but nevertheless this content is soo good. It's such an eye opener to us who don't go out much and taste more local filipino cuisines. I really appreciate your hardwork and dedication when it comes to pushing the filipino food forward. Please keep going and never stop. :D
See how we are dominated nowadays with authentic Japanese, Chinese or Korean food, I mean I don't see any problem embracing other culture's cuisines, it is one way of immersing ourselves without visiting their country.
But after watching this video, I learned that we should give more attention and love to our own cuisines. Because it feels like, atleast for me, Filipino cuisines are inferior compared to these foreign foods IN OUR OWN HOMELAND pa yan ha. I hope I am wrong.
I admire videos like this as it showcase the cuisines we never thought we have and it just needs our attention and support.
❤
Great job going to the Maranao restaurant! Jun-Naira's is on my culinary list the next time I'm in Muslim town/Quiapo. I think more Filipinos (including diasporic Filipinos in some way shape or form like ourselves) need to be humble enough to admit we all DON'T know many of the foods in this immensely culturally and culinarily diverse country, and be willing to discover new foods and cultures here that they never knew existed.
Erwan is amazingly the best 👏👏👏👏👏. Mabuhay 🙏
This is such an awesome episode… I felt like I was sitting at the table with you guys.
that was perfectly chill vids of erwan
Amazing erwan the best❤❤❤
Im from mindanao and some food of that is common here.. what a coincidence i just saw chef leah in "beat bobby flay" ka duo nya si auntie esther ang nililigawan ni uncle roger 😂

very humble chefs going to common people comfort foods kudos
Ohhh i love that type of bawang. Here in Indonesia, We called bawang batak and it is good as acara or eat it raw. Delicious
Oh wow! Top Chef Leah.
Very very good and educational food tour. Very insightful, and really honor and respect the cuisine.
Adobo with with coconut milk taste so good. There are canteens that sells adobo with coconut milk in Makati.
Good thing Erwan cleared up the adobo sa gata with Leah, so she can just keep making it as much as she wants. Whoever that troll is should have at least researched the cuisine, or even just adobo specifically 🤣 Anyways, all the best to the family Erwan, at sana maging mas kengkoy pa kay Anne si Dahlia hehe
Loved her in Top Chef!
I learn so much from this channel.
Calamansi would grow well in Florida, if only they didn't get so much hurricanes. Which starts June 1 & there's already one in the Atlantic
Erwan eating with his bare hand is the best when you see him eating. Very filipino thing.
Amazing! I follow both of you and please keep promoting Filipino dishes and culture. 😊
Good job featr team!!!
I started to like you Leah. You deserve to be the global tourism ambassador for the Phils rather than Vanessa Hudgens. You are a proud Filipino.
I love Chef Leah's Pork Belly Adobo!
Proud Malabon native. Thanks for featuring Crispy pata of Judy Ann's
This is so good to watch ❤
Really enjoyed this well done Erwan and your team at FEATR! Watching from the 🇬🇧 😊
Chef Leah Cohen?! Awesome!
Calamansi definitely thrives in Florida. A friend of mine in the Northeast always comes back with a big bag of fresh Calamansi when she goes to visit her sister in Florida.
Oh my - so she's the owner of Pig and Khao in Lower Manhattan. I had their sisig - it was the best! Pig ears, pig's cheek, and all the good sutff. They even allowed me to bring in my chilled kombucha.
21:33 pure filipino here and i love the taste of adobo with coconut milk
this is some good content kudos to featr!
Wooow😮... Galing naman po sir Erwan👍👍👍
Love this :) Erwan is such an awesome pinoy food ambassador :)
