    The original format of TV-am was “mission to explain” for breakfast viewers. It first aired in February 1983 and ended in 1984, when replaced by Wide Awake Club. Co-host was Edwin The Computer, who had a suitable robot-style voice and the usual beeping noises. Features on the show included Dance Data, Disc Data (with the Top Ten hit singles), File Of The Fantastic, competitions for prizes and interviews.

    These kids are adorable (as a NYer, am charmed by their...to me...exotic British accents...but don't know the accents well enough to tell where they're from). As I've commented in other places, Americans (as far as I can recall) didn't have kids tv shows like this where musicians would be interviewed by such young people. I love that Nick and Stuart are so thoughtful and honest with their replies, and not speaking down to them (love how Nick said he doesn't really listen to pop music...again, love the honest reply though I'm sure the interviewer was a bit flummoxed at that one), or being goofy or whatever odd ways some adults interact with kids (celebrities or no). These lads are always good interviews...then and now. ❤☮🌎
