Wish the 2 seat variants were offered with folding wings! Would save alot of people money on hangaring

This was great! I built my own Sonerai in 1979-1981, flew it from Los Angeles to Maryland when I was furloughed from United Airlines! I helped another guy build his Sonerai. In 1982 I bought the Monnett Moni kit, and... sad to say... it gets put back in boxes every time I move, and in 2021, its STILL not finished! That's got to be a record! But... The Moni is a motor glider, just 25 HP (I never got the 30HP KFM engine) and for a single-seater - its just NOT the sport plane the OneX is!
I have a Cessna 172 (puny, lame, even with a 180 HP Lycoming, its SLOW!) and an RV-6 (same 180 hp O-360 Lycoming -- much faster!) . But at age 74, I'm thinking the Onex is the NEXT plane for me! I watched this whole thing. So Sorry to hear that Jeremy Monnett was killed in a plane crash several years ago. I remember him riding around on a small toy wooden plane in the Monnett factory on the north side of OSH airport circa 1981-1983. This presentation was excellent, and I WILL put my Moni up for sale, and buy and build a Onex --- with the new 100HP Turbo Aero-Vee engine soon!

Wow! Inspiring couple of paragraphs there, Dan! Impressed with a X-country Sonerai flight & very inspired that you are aiming at a Turbo Onex! I think the RV-6 is a great 'swiss army knife' craft with so many things it does well and I only yawned over the 172! But, maintaining it may be exciting ("My annual is gonna cost WHAT!!!) I hope you sell ME that Moni kit- as he begins to wring his hands about bonding wings to spars- I think I'd look good in that Moni!
Let me know when you are ready to let it go! And, good luck staying focused on the Onex!

Perhaps I'm missing something, or flat out wrong, but SHOULDN'T the aft CG be no more than 25% back from the leading edge of the wing as nearly all cross sections have a CL at the 25% location? I always thought that the CG should be in the 18%-25% range.

4:35 We just figured out the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything! We knew the answer was 42 due to 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' but we didn't know the question until now! How many Sonex Onex's will fit into the Sonex Flight Center and R&D Facility?

The real average for occupancy on G A planes is 1.99999. Almost 2 souls. But a fun solo flyer. Midget mustang would get your blood flowing but higher overall cost.
