@@comicbookguygamecat Thanks so much, friend! I took a look at some of your content too, and I really enjoyed watching. :) Resident Evil is honestly the best. I dropped a sub as well!
there is good things about vr to like more introverted people can actually talk to other people without being as scared. But i loved the points you had. Sub and liked
You're right, there are a lot of good things about VR. Making it easier for those who have social anxiety is definitely one of them. :) I'm glad you enjoyed watching, I appreciate you taking the time to do so! Thanks for subbing, too! :D
I'm very out of the loop when it comes to virtual reality; the last time I tried it was in the summer of '97, and the only games the booth had to try out were Rise of the Triad, Duke Nukem 3D, and... I think the third one was Quake. I think it's neat, but I don't know that it's something I'd purchase for myself or have for my very own. That all said, very insightful points that I think extend out to most every aspect of life. Everyone has their vices, whatever they may be, and it's fine to have and even enjoy them, but we have to be careful about letting them control us. The more you're retreating to a virtual realm, the bottom of a bottle, or happy childhood memories (even nostalgia can be an addiction), the harder it becomes to truly face them.
Very wise words there! I can relate to what you're saying. VR is something that I've tried plenty of times before, even within the modern gaming sphere and it's still not something I would willingly invest in unless there was a pretty darn good reason to. Some people are using it as a form of escapism now, but I can only imagine what would become of that once the Metaverse becomes a bigger thing/world of its own. Scary to think about, but then again... technology has always scared people throughout the history of society. And nolstagia can definitely be a problem, too! Interesting for you to say that, because it's very true. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! 😁

I’m curious if you use a lot of VR or have any experience with some of the side effects that you’ve listed in the video. I’m trying to develop a learning program for virtual reality and would want to know your thoughts on this
Sure, I'll be more than happy to share my thoughts! :) So I don't play VR as much as some people do. I have the first PlayStation VR model and got it around the time it first came out, but I'm told that the quality of it is outdated compared to newer VR headsets that are out on the market right now. I did get nausea and motion sickness while playing VR. As a matter of fact, I reduced my playtime tremendously because every time I did, I would always feel sick through my stomach, my vision would get blurry and I would get dizzy both in and out of the headset. It didn't matter if I avoided eating for a few hours before playing, I still would always get a stomachache. Eventually, the symptoms started to scare me because it was constantly reoccurring, so now I only ever use a VR headset once or twice every six months. I hope that answers your question! If you have anymore, feel free to ask. :)
@@Dutchess5 you know I have a lot of experience using VR and different headsets, I also am trying to create an application for them in the emergency medical field. I’m an EMT and see some potential in virtual reality and mixed reality technology. If you wouldn’t mind sending me a DM I’d love to discuss more with you
OH no A game that make me not think about real life. Man its like we had games before VR that took us away from real life 4 a hour or 2 of are real life job to pay rent and live. Just let us have 1 good thing in life I wanna like in A different would 4 some happy ness that I can't get in real life, real life suck's we all know that.
Right now you and i love getting away from real life and going to play video games but we dive into pixelated worlds, crafting destinies with joystick/ mouse and buttons, living a thousand lives before our own clocks chime to 10. But remember, while the digital world echoes our triumphs over and over, real stars still shimmer above the screen. The potential of your being isn't trapped in controller stick/mouse input; it blooms in when we wake up to a person you live with or a person at work you know smiles at you when you go to work or wake up in the morning, and hands that build, heal, and love. So let the console/computer hum, unleash your virtual spirit, but know, the greatest quests await your unplugged heart. Return, breath deep, and write your own epic, unscripted, world, in where the vibrant pages of your reality. For the truest potential of your being lies not in a programmed realm, but in the beating pulse of your here and now. And don't forget, in this unscripted adventure, you're not alone. Friends and family trace your journey with whispered prayers and outstretched arms. Their laughter fuels your courage, their tears mirror your own, and their love, unwavering, reminds you: the world beyond the screen needs the hero your presence creates. So toggle off, step out, and embrace the symphony of connection waiting in the eyes of those who can't truly win or lose without you. The greatest potential, the most epic quest, lies not in pixels, but in the tapestry of love woven with every shared hug, every whispered joke, every challenge faced together. Remember, your greatest power lies not in a controller or keyboard and mouse, but in the irreplaceable joy you bring to the world that waits for you, unplugged and alive.

Never thought about how VR robs us of reading other people's facial expressions - good point 👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
that is being solved through exploration into facial technology like we saw with the quest pro
