I just rewatched the Blu-Ray version of this movie last night. Somehow I didn't see this scene the first time. Maybe it is a part of the Blu-Ray deleted scenes? I don't really know, but this definitely takes the place of the "Your hands are cold" scene. Amazing! I'm absolutely in love with Keira in this movie. This role immortalizes her, for she will forever stay this young and beautiful, captured through the lenses of the camera. This cinematic masterpiece is like a painting which will last throughout the ages with lonely, broken Elizabeth longing for love.
#prideandprejudice
the music, the scenery, and elizabeth's gown flowing around her and along with the wind..hands down one of the best scenes in cinematic history
Magic
I have to agree and could not have said it better. ❤
That's true. What I also like is that this song is repeated when Mr Darcy walks through the field at the end of the movie. He's a lone small figure against a big landscape, which calls back to this image of her as a lone small figure against the big landscape. I'm sure that was intentional. But what was also cool, perhaps unintentional, is that this image of her against the landscape has a lot of warm colors, sort of orangish, while Mr Darcy's scene is mostly cool, blue colors. Blue and orange are complementary colors.
this scene always takes my breath away
Me too, my walking up the ailse song ❤
No matter how old Keira gets. Her youth will forever be frozen in this movie. I think she was a great Elizabeth.
Just filmed a wedding and the bride walked down to this track. It was so heavenly 😭
Stupid !!
This scene lives rent free in my brain 24/7
And after all that long walk through the aching stones and asperities of a barren lonely life, then suddenly you can't escape to face the fall, that impossible jump full of dangerdare, but beneath which green valleys of eternal joy stretch out far away in the distance of your future. It do takes courage to let yourself fall in love, to jump and risk it all.
Genius movie direction in this scene, strings timely jump in to describe the sudden vastity of the feelings, and the slow shifting of the scene towards the cliff forces the spectator to impersonate the anguish of being on the verge to risk it all to reach happiness. I had tears watching this.
Miss Keira has played the most iconic roles in the history of litrature based films and did her best in pride and prejudice. In this movie I liked the classical music, both matthew and keira the theme a lot and I especially like keira a lot. A really wonderful and nice lady.
This song so beautifully captures the feeling of longing, knowing there is so much out there, so much beauty and love. A soul mate. Desperate to find it, unwilling to settle. On the edge of something powerful and wonderful.
I remember when i watched this scene the first time - it touched my soul.
Love this scene💜

Is this scene in the standard DVD version? Please respond when you can! Xx
To be honest. I really don't know. According to my mother, it is. If it isn't, you can always come here to watch it in blu-ray quality tho :D
It is on the standard DVD version and should be in every version! The only scene I know of that is removed from some versions is the final scene of the film where Elizabeth and Darcy have been married. For some reason that is absent from some versions and I don't understand why. The movie is on Starz right now and simply ends after Elizabeth's father gives his consent to her marrying Darcy.
@@levelstory This is probably because the final scene is not in the book. The book ends on the scene with her father. Personally I love the final scene but I can see why some version leave it off.
The ending without the marriage is the British version. The ending with the marriage is the American version. This dream sequence is definitely in all versions of the film. It's an important moment for Liz's character.
Yo y mis dos hermanas estamos enamoradas de esta película, esta película están especial ❤❤❤

@@jahnavipuru3200 i actually found it! It's Stanage Edge in South Yorkshire.
It's called Stanage Edge, you'd think it is in the middle of nowhere, but its only 3 miles outside of the city of Sheffield.
Thank you!!@@sevenblueprints5276
@@dogsnads5634 thank you!

❤❤❤
Are these The Peak District, Derbyshire?
Yes, Stanage Edge, between Hathersage and Sheffield.
@@tomsmith48 It is beautiful isn't it? Somewhere a writer like Sylvia Plath would of drawn inspiration from.
@@valentinogal781 certainly is. I was up there about a week ago. Bit of a climb up if you're coming up from Hathersage, but certainly worth it.
@@tomsmith48 I know it would be worth the climb. It's breathtaking... Just look at Kira in that scene, nothing in the world matters in that precise moment in time. 😍😍
