I don’t play the piano but the way it’s played almost looks like the two hands are two lovers telling a story or perhaps sharing a dance. just like the movie.

Idk why but to me it sounds like the first rhythm is unsure, kind of like testing the waters. I love the technique. It sounds like the pianist is kind of confused at first and then the second time it sounds like they’re saying in their mind “Oh wait these notes actually work!” And plays it more confidently. Idk why but that’s just how I hear it

Yeah, it sounds like a Chopin composition, that’s probably because Chopin compositions were very sweet and beautiful. This also sounds like a Debussy composition.

You can still learn! I always told myself "one day, I'll learn to play the piano". In January, I decided that now is "one day", bought an e-piano and have practiced ever since. I'm 27 and I'm slightly frustrated knowing that I could already be good by now. But I've decided that I have enough time :) when I'm 40, nobody will ask when I started :)

The sheet music’s not that hard to read, I personally think it’s the rhythm that makes it difficult at certain parts.
But if you listen to it enough times I don't think the rhythm will be very hard

Any tips on the pedal? There's no pedal markings on the sheet music, just a "With pedal throughout" note. Kind of playing it by ear at this point and trying to match the recording, but curious if you had anything specific?
You're on the right path--I mostly lifted reflexively for the major chord changes then went to the recording to find out what should be done about the end passage with the arpeggios, lifting at beginning of each new melodic phrase and to emphasize certain high notes in the melody.

Do you play with the pedal at all? The original sheet music doesn't seem to have pedal markings on it, but I've heard some covers that sound like they use pedal. I didn't pick it up on yours but I was just curious! Sounds great!
I sure do. I went off the original recording for the pedal cues. There is a lot of room for creativity when it comes to using the pedal for this piece!
