    Just one small quibble: You'll have to place your feet much more than shoulder-width apart if using anything but a very light weight. No amount of core strength changes the laws of static mechanics. Once the center of gravity moves outside the line between your hand on the ground and your opposite foot, you'll tip over. This guy seems to have an over-inflated idea of how wide his shoulders are!

    • @manyhatsentertainment8685
      @manyhatsentertainment8685 2 года назад

      I do this but with push up and I try to keep my feet close together I'm 140 lbs and use 35s if you have the core strength and balance you will not tip over the most that happens is sometimes one of my feet will come off the ground on later reps and I'll have to balance on one leg while I put the weight down

    So difficult for me to complete any exercise like this, or even basic push-ups or planks when on hands due to wrist pain. Any tips for this?

    • @BuiltLeanTV
      @BuiltLeanTV  3 года назад +5

      It sounds like a great option would be to get checked out by a Physical Therapist. Gripping the ground and putting the pressure on the outside bottom of the palm may help, but it sounds like there may be something structural going on, so an in person expert best.

  • @dimitrz2000

    Sadly neither the video nor the website gives any recommendations about number of Sets & Reps

    • @BuiltLeanTV
      @BuiltLeanTV  2 года назад

      Hey Vinod - 10 total reps if you're doing slow and controlled with slightly heavier weight. 20 reps if you want to get more reps in per set with lighter weights. 2 to 3 sets can work. That's something you must figure out within the context of your own program!

      What do you mean by tremor? If you are concerned, may be best to get see a doctor if you feel any unusual pain.

    what does it mean by "square" hips to the ground? how do I position my body?

    • @BuiltLeanTV
      @BuiltLeanTV  3 года назад +4

      It means that your hips are not tilted, they are level and pointed straight at the ground. So you could balance let's say a bottle of water or stick across your back and it would not fall to the ground. In practice, this is difficult, but that's the idea. It creates more core control and engagement.

    • @mocromo2010
      @mocromo2010 4 года назад +2

      you can still do it, but you should do 1 side at a time and have 1 hand without a dumbbell on the ground. also to target the back more try and look to the front. this also applies to other exercises such as pull up where you want to look up at the bar.
