I'm in Taekwondo (white belt, I just started) and we do 15-20 push ups at the end of every class. I couldn't do an effective one, because I made multiple of the mistakes this video showed. Thank you!
Oh snap! This video is like the moment which makes you realise how wrong you were for a good amount of your life. I used to do 3 sets of 25-20-10. And then i tried this. Man i really felt the tension in the first 10!! But am happy to learn this 🔥 Thanks!
I watched this video about a month ago when I couldn't do a single push up. Kept doing inclines and hitting the gym about 4 time a week and now I can do up to 5-10 good form push ups. Believe in yourself
After applying these rules my pushup reps decreases from 50 to 16 .but i have notice that chest and triceps growth with only few reps.I agree with you Mr.Alex quality of reps are important than the quantity of reps.
Yeah I remember I could do like 25, then I once went to a calisthenics class and they taught me the correct form and it dropped to about 5. You feel so much better after doing good form though.
@@andrea-mj9ce push up repetition, It's used to say how much you need to repeat exercise like 3 sets with 15 repetition. You do 15 push ups then take a quick rest and then do another 15 push ups. (at least i hope i got it right)
Thank you so much for this video. I saw this video about 1 and half years ago. At that time I could do 80 pushups continuously and do 280 pushups in a day but it was half range motion. So I was very disappointed for being only able to do 15 pushups perfectly. So the first step was to accepting it. Then I started doing correct way and do perfect slow pushups for 220 reps. After few months my chest, back, shoulders and triceps were like hell. I gained a lot of strength and my muscles were also growing. This had helped me in doing weight training a lot. So if you're a beginner then do it correctly. Don't do it to show your friends but to be strong and healthy. Hope it will give you motivation. Thanks saitama for helping me.
This is beautiful. I learned this a few months back, had a buddy teach me proper technique and establish mind-muscle connection. Man did it rock my world. I went from 50 push ups to about 15 proper push ups (I think I can do about 25 weighted proper now). One thing I always keep in my though is, you’re not cheating anyone but yourself if you slouch or do it half assed/sloppy. Even if you do 1-5, keep at it. Don’t break form. You WILL get good at it.

what I got 1-body position -tilt pelvis backward -squeeze butt tight to avoid an arched back -imagine your trying to aline your head back and lags 1-arm position -place wrists in a nearly vertical line under the shoulder -for a standard pushup, you can target chest more by having a wider grip whereas a narrower one with target triceps more -Elbows shouldn’t be flared out but should stay pointed backwards/diagonally 3-Range of motion -all the way up, all the way down -Keep body straight don’t let your head go down or your hips go down 4-shoulderblade movement -when you you down they move closer together and when your going up they move apart -When you're going down, always focus on the tension and an active shoulder blade movement -Don't let yourself fall down into your structures

Exercising can get so hard sometimes but It always makes me feel better. Last year I had almost 300 lbs in body weight. One day I just started moving more, then slow running then I started doing weighted exercises and I was eating clean by following meal plan I got from Nextlevel Diet. Today I have 190 lbs and I am happy like I have never been in my life.

Legends say he is still doing the pushups
After applying these rules my pushup reps decreases from 50 to 16 .but i have notice that chest and triceps growth with only few reps.I agree with you Mr.Alex quality of reps are important than the quantity of reps.
Yeah I remember I could do like 25, then I once went to a calisthenics class and they taught me the correct form and it dropped to about 5. You feel so much better after doing good form though.
What's a push up rep?
@@andrea-mj9ce push up repetition, It's used to say how much you need to repeat exercise like 3 sets with 15 repetition. You do 15 push ups then take a quick rest and then do another 15 push ups. (at least i hope i got it right)
Everytime i did bad push up's, after my back was in pain. Now it's more easier and no pain push up's. Thank you!

I'm here to improve my self
Very good but every push-up tutorial is missing one important point: spread your fingers as much as possible when placing hands on the floor to avoid unnecessary hand/forearm tension and imbalances.
Or have little bars to hold on to, or use your fists to take the strain off your wrists.
Flexbert This is an easier progression to a full push up, where you don't use your arms but rather blow harder towards the floor as you get closer to it, and weaker when you're at arms length.
(Yeah, I know I am 12 years old in my head)

Quality is more important than quantity in workout. If you have alot of quantity, but have bad quality, then congratulations you just wasted your sweats and muscle
what I got
1-body position
-tilt pelvis backward
-squeeze butt tight to avoid an arched back
-imagine your trying to aline your head back and lags
1-arm position
-place wrists in a nearly vertical line under the shoulder
-for a standard pushup, you can target chest more by having a wider grip whereas a narrower one with target triceps more
-Elbows shouldn’t be flared out but should stay pointed backwards/diagonally
3-Range of motion
-all the way up, all the way down
-Keep body straight don’t let your head go down or your hips go down
4-shoulderblade movement
-when you you down they move closer together and when your going up they move apart
-When you're going down, always focus on the tension and an active shoulder blade movement
-Don't let yourself fall down into your structures
I've been doing them wrong the whole time! My life is a lie!
What a noob !😂🤣
