Not sure if you're aware but 95% of the art shown in this video is from the late 80s New Gods run, which was illustrated by Mark Evanier and Paris Cullins. They took inspiration from Kirby's original New Gods books from the early 1970s and sought to replicate the same trademark design elements that Jack Kirby is known for, but it's still different pencillers' work being depicted here nevertheless. The only Kirby illustrations shown here were during those split second segments on the Old Gods world of Urgrand splitting in two during the Great Celestial War, and the flashback to Granny Goodness creating the Lump to imprison Scott Free. The rest is Evanier and Cullins, along with a few of Tom Grummett's pages taken from The Infinity Man & Forever People #5 shown at the end. I have no clue who drew those panels in Shazam, though
He seems pretty boring. They'd have they change his character development to make him less flat. "I want to kill everything just because" isn't a great way to hold audience attention. Marvel has really forgotten that they should be giving their villains just as much depth as their heroes.

Mazahs (Alex Luthor) was different, he stole abilities and I don't think it's ever mentioned what his name represents. Shazam is Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury (roman name for Hermes.)
I hope one day they do more with him than just repeating the same boring story of him getting imprisoned. I think a good story would be one where he kills Darkseid takes back his throne and just wrecks the DC universe on a scale never seen before.

I disagree. He has infinity to escape and retry until he breaches the wall. Such power has meant that he requires little ingenuity so he uses 'brute force method' of trying every possible combination through millions of eons until he gets what he wants. Presumeably he will check to see if anyone else managef it at some point and do that.

At that point, any superhero worth his or her salt has a chance to face the embodiment of evil within the Source. Yuga Khan's arrogance cost him the battle, and thus Billy won his power...albeit briefly before the reset button kicked in when Grail, Darkseid's daughter, stole the godhood of the JLA, and a baby, in order to resurrect Darkseid. Go figure.

In marvel we also have super op charactere who can almost destroy universe like Thor, Hulk, Sentri, blue marvel, Gladiator, Hyperion, captain marvel, doctor strange, ghost rider, hercule and all the reality warper in the mutants.
Just by his stupid name I can already tell this character was not created by Jack Kirby but a younger 90's influenced weabo, nor his name, looks or origins story has the same charsima as the rest of the original new gods from the master Kirby
