Some people were tweeting to him pointing out some problems, like the different vault prisons, but Yost just replied with "eh, there's always a way to explain such things," awesome.

In that EMH episode, it’s not just Keaton who was replaced. Daran Norris, who voiced Jameson, voices some random cop. Why bring a whole new voice actor for a bit role in unless he was dubbed over by JK Simmons? Betty Brant is the only character who keeps her Spectacular voice actress.

I just recently felt nostalgia about the show as this was how I was first introduced to the Avengers way back in 2010 and rewatched the entire series. Hands down and without a doubt, the best Marvel show of all time!
I was even surprised to see that there seems to be a recent surge in conversation about the show like with this video and even learnt that they were actually setting up an entire ANIMATED MARVEL UNIVERSE with confirmation that Spectacular Spiderman (objectively the best spiderman cartoon), Hulk VS and Wolverine and The X-Men series being part of the universe!
Now that Disney+ is here, and there has been a recent revival of amazing shows like Young Justice and Clone Wars, I'm sure that if enough of us speak up about how this show was so beloved (and profitable), I believe we could see the return of such a gem.
If enough conversation comes up, I'm confident this show could be revived again and continue our dream of an animated marvel universe which rivals the likes of the DCAU (Justice League Animated/Batman Animated) and even rival shows like Young Justice and Avatar The Last Airbender if they bring back the original creators and voices of the show with some new and existing talents of the animated industry like Lauren Montgomery and Josh Keaton back as the rightful voice of Spiderman or new voices like Yuri Lowenthal.

I hope they keep the original vision and Thomas Perkins' art style of the show with an updated animation quality and some modernised and mature themes and also bring in new characters like Miles Morales, Ms Marvel, Namor, Silver Surfer, Doctor Strange and even obscure characters/teams like 3D-Man, Crystar, Morbius, Damien Hellstrom, Squadron Supreme, Agents of Atlas, The Ultimates, Runaways, Excalibur/MI13, Power Pack, Defenders of the Deep, The Winter Guard, Young Avengers, The Annihilators, Alpha Flight, The Ultimate Avengers, The Eternals, Illuminati, Ultraforce and etc. They should also tie up loose ends like the New Avengers, Hulk's story arc, Surtur arc, expand on the universe/multiverse with Secret Invasion, the Kree-Skrull War and Spiderverse and introduce beloved storylines as well as new original ones like Infinity Gauntlet, Civil War (introducing Winter Soldier), Dark Phoenix, Days of Future Past, World War Hulk(s), Avengers vs X-Men, Dr Doom (Doomwar), House of M, War of the Realms, Infinity Wars, Fear Itself, Absolute Carnage, Siege, release a less rushed Season 2, Galactus Arc and even do their version of Secret Wars 2015 as a huge finale event!!!
They could also do Solo Spinoffs for members of the main team along the way and revive Spectacular Spiderman, Wolverine and The X-Men, Hulk VS series, Fantastic Four with new shows like Inhumans, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Defenders, Midnight Sons, Doctor Strange Sorcerers Supreme, Deadpool, Thunderbolts, Agents of Atlas and Black Panther King of Wakanda to go concurrently with the Avengers Series!
Last to top it off, they should have main writer Christopher Yost and Joshua Fine to continue writing the amazing story development and worldbuilding of the show and appoint Craig Kyle as president of Marvel Animation!

Don't forget this had the most all-around best voicing (matching the MCU actors) of all the Marvel cartoon shows I've seen.
Right? Iron Man is spot on!!!! So is Thor, and I love this version of Hawkeye
What I loved about EMH, was that it used storylines from WAY back when (like Kang), and mixed them with modern day stories like 'Secret Invasion' seamlessly.
I liked how SWORD was born in the show, and their base was Kang's abandoned ship, which was shaped like a Sword (maybe inspiring the name).
I think they did the 'rebirth' of Bucky very well: Buck was Dead as a Frakkin' Stone, until Cap managed to touch the wish granting Cosmic Cube. He didn't make a conscious wish, but the cube read his heart, and corrected his biggest regret by making it so Bucky didn't die when the bomb crashed. Butterfly Effect didn't give him a Happily Ever After, though.
And probably the best thing: They did 'Secret Invasion' even better than the comics. Instead of having some D-lister like Spider-Woman replaced, they replaced Cap himself. We knew this, of course, but none of the team knew it, and it was interesting waiting to see who would catch on in time (hell, if they had done Evil Hydra Cap with this storyline in the comics, it probably would have been accepted better).
But spider woman is awesome-
While it is unfortunate that EMH didn't get to continue at least the final episode feels like a good ending and doesn't leave on a cliffhanger like Spectacular and X-Men.
Edit: I wasn't actually aware of the Destroyer episode until I checked Disney+. Somehow I missed that one back in the day. My bad.

I was so mad about Spectacular too. I watched the season 2 finale THE DAY IT WAS CANCELLED.
I was so hyped I looked up the information for when season 3 was gonna drop, and was met with sheer heartbreak.
Surtur barely had anything to do with the show. He appeared in only 2 or 3 episodes out of 52 episodes.
So yeah, Earth's Mightiest Heroes had a good finale.
Technically, it did leave on a cliffhanger. The Destroyer episode?
If you saw the episode Powerless that featured The Destroyer on Disney+, then the list of episodes of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes on Disney+ are in the wrong order. Fuck Disney+! Go to the episode list on Wikipedia and you'll see the list of episodes in the right order.

I hope with Disney+ on the way it could open up to a new animated universe that could live up to the 90s and the Renaissance Universe (spectacular, emh etc). All I ask is for stylistic animation and better stories if Marvel do a new animated Universe

The animated trailer for Marvel Heroes made me want a new animated universe even more.
at this point Disney should just give all of their marvel cartoon rights to sony or lionsgate the mcu is great and all but Disney just makes every marvel cartoon either to promote their movies or their toy line it's kind of sad that these are the same people who made gargoyles and not to mention every show on Disney channel they should either step up their game and try to reach out to older kids or just give their rights to either sony or lionsgate

Considering the EMH Peter said he was 17, it would definitely help with lining up the two shows. Spectacular Spider-man's original plan was to introduce a bunch of other Marvel characters into the episodes, even introducing the X-men. But then there was the issues with the rights regarding Sony, and it became an isolated universe
If they continued, I would've loved to see where each show went especially since Deadpool was going to be in X-Men

There's so many what-ifs with this and Spectacular.
Season 3 of Spectacular was going to heavenly feature Hobgoblin and Green Goblin, and it was hinted that Demogoblin was gonna appear, and possibly Carnage.

I am so glad a video like this exists. I also saw the Panels to Pixels video on the 90s MAU and I also though it was awesome but I think it would also be awesome if someone made a video on the other Animated universe with Avengers EMH, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Wolverine and the X-Men, and the Hulk vs series. Now, some may say they are not in the same universe, but I just love the though that they are and I am glad I am not the only one. If only they panned this out more.

That’s fair. Although it’s entirely headcanon, I consider TheInkTank’s contributions to the Ben 10 Universe as actual canon, like Atomix being a Prypiatosian, or Toepick being from the Anur System, etc.

The Molecule Man episode of Avengers Assemble had a flashback that uses the same art style of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. I believe that Christopher Yost once claimed those two shows are meant to be in the same universe. Obviously it did derail to be its own thing though.
Nah, Avengers Assemble isn’t canon. They just did that to try and win over EMH fans.

World designations don’t matter anymore. The MCU is 616, meaning there’s two 616’s, your focus on the overarching meta narrative has ruined your enjoyment of the stories themselves. Just take a step back. I don’t think FFWG is in the same universe, but I don’t see why Spectacular SM couldn’t inhabit the same world as EMH. Batman Year One is canon to The Long Halloween, The Dark Knight Returns, and the pre Flashpoint DC continuity. It exists in at least two separate timelines/universes where the exact same thing happens. Given what we know about Keaton’s casting, and the fact that episodes of Spectacular aired on Disney XD, it’s not a stretch to say Spectacular could take place alongside EMH. It’s more of a stretch to say that it doesn’t. Now F4 though? Probably not, I’d even argue their may be continuity errors if it was. But Spectacular fits in nicely and builds on the lore of the universe, without any errors arising from a shared continuity. Just let people have their fun okay? We can have our cake and eat it too.
@@SuperSwimTeam7 Listen, i want ssm to be with emh, but MARVEL officially said the universe number for ssm, and when mysterio said the mcu was earth 616 1. he is lying, 2. marvel in that universe gave 616 to the mcu. 3. the writers were too lazy to look up the mcu's reality number. and if we were using the logic of actors to classify universes, MARVEL rising would be in the mcu because the actor for quake is in that show, and agents of shield, which both air on Disney channels. I just want people to check before they say stuff. But if a show/ movie gets the Temporary Reality Number (or TRN) then we could speculate on its universe, like for example, is Big Hero 6 (earth-14123) in the same universe as miles Morales from the spider verse movies. We just need to research before we jump to conclusions

I was graduating high school when EMH was out and actually at the time was burned out on the marvel movies but I somehow caught a few episodes and I was hooked. Had no one to talk about it with but damn that show had everything.

The Molecule Man episode of Avengers Assemble had a flashback that uses the same art style of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. I believe that Christopher Yost once claimed those two shows are meant to be in the same universe (take my word with a grain of salt). Obviously Avengers Assemble did derail to be its own thing with its own continuity issues with Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man (2018)..

Hulk appears on Wolverine and the X-Men where they reference the events of Hulk VS, also I believe Chris Yost worked on both but I’m not sure

I really wanted the Yostverse to expand their universe introducing new characters in their own animated series like Daredevil and Doctor Strange: two of the greatest Marvel heroes that never had their own animated series

I just recently felt nostalgia about the show as this was how I was first introduced to the Avengers way back in 2010 and rewatched the entire series. Hands down and without a doubt, the best Marvel show of all time!
I was even surprised to see that there seems to be a recent surge in conversation about the show like with this video and even learnt that they were actually setting up an entire ANIMATED MARVEL UNIVERSE with confirmation that Spectacular Spiderman (objectively the best spiderman cartoon), Hulk VS and Wolverine and The X-Men series being part of the universe!
Now that Disney+ is here, and there has been a recent revival of amazing shows like Young Justice and Clone Wars, I'm sure that if enough of us speak up about how this show was so beloved (and profitable), I believe we could see the return of such a gem.
If enough conversation comes up, I'm confident this show could be revived again and continue our dream of an animated marvel universe which rivals the likes of the DCAU (Justice League Animated/Batman Animated) and even rival shows like Young Justice and Avatar The Last Airbender if they bring back the original creators and voices of the show with some new and existing talents of the animated industry like Lauren Montgomery and Josh Keaton back as the rightful voice of Spiderman or new voices like Yuri Lowenthal.

I hope they keep the original vision and Thomas Perkins' art style of the show with an updated animation quality and some modernised and mature themes and also bring in new characters like Miles Morales, Ms Marvel, Namor, Silver Surfer, Doctor Strange and even obscure characters/teams like 3D-Man, Crystar, Morbius, Damien Hellstrom, Squadron Supreme, Agents of Atlas, The Ultimates, Runaways, Excalibur/MI13, Power Pack, Defenders of the Deep, The Winter Guard, Young Avengers, The Annihilators, Alpha Flight, The Ultimate Avengers, The Eternals, Illuminati, Ultraforce and etc. They should also tie up loose ends like the New Avengers, Hulk's story arc, Surtur arc, expand on the universe/multiverse with Secret Invasion, the Kree-Skrull War and Spiderverse and introduce beloved storylines as well as new original ones like Infinity Gauntlet, Civil War (introducing Winter Soldier), Dark Phoenix, Days of Future Past, World War Hulk(s), Avengers vs X-Men, Dr Doom (Doomwar), House of M, War of the Realms, Infinity Wars, Fear Itself, Absolute Carnage, Siege, release a less rushed Season 2, Galactus Arc and even do their version of Secret Wars 2015 as a huge finale event!!!
They could also do Solo Spinoffs for members of the main team along the way and revive Spectacular Spiderman, Wolverine and The X-Men, Hulk VS series, Fantastic Four with new shows like Inhumans, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Defenders, Midnight Sons, Doctor Strange Sorcerers Supreme, Deadpool, Thunderbolts, Agents of Atlas and Black Panther King of Wakanda to go concurrently with the Avengers Series!
Last to top it off, they should have main writer Christopher Yost and Joshua Fine to continue writing the amazing story development and worldbuilding of the show and appoint Craig Kyle as president of Marvel Animation!

Spectacular Spider-Man is definitely in continuity with Avengers: EMH. Ultimate has literally no connections to it when you consider how that show was set up. The sad thing is that we'll likely never get more EMH, Spectacular or X-Men because stupid Disney can't stand people loving anything that didn't have their fingerprints on it, but also, in thE case of SS, because Greg Weisman moved on from that show to the arguably even better Young Justice and seems fairly committed to continuing his work on the well-deserved revival. For real, Marvel animation had a new renaissance that was arguably well on its way to surpassing its heyday in the 90s if it hadn't done so already. It's a crying shame that they all cut down down in their prime.

You were right! Chris Yost confirms the EMH was indeed supposed to be same Spider-Man from Spectacular Spider-Mam.
Look friend, there is something called Yost Universe (Earth-8096), and the series and movies that are part of it are:
- Hulk Vs. Wolverine
- Hulk Vs. Thor
- Thor: Tales of Asgard
- Wolverine and the X-Men

I'm pretty inclined to agree, Spectacular was ahead of its time, and that theme song is unmatched. I loved it's takes on Venom and Green Goblin in particular.

And all these great shows get cancelled by the greedy company hands of Disney and being replaced with animated Marvel shows that have a quality content that of a simple tooth pick and also to promote the over spamming of the MCU movies. Spectacular Spider-Man's cancellation especialy hit me on a emotional level, because I am a big Spider-Man fan since from the start of the late 90's and Spectacular Spider-Man was one of the greatest Spider-Man shows I have ever watched. I original discovered the show on RUclips, before the site itself took one big massive noise dive with the whole copyright claiming bullshit and I fell in love with the show. I was excited when I discovered that Season 2 was already out when I saw an episode of Season 2 being aired on TV. I was hoping for more epic Spidey adventures on of the best animated adaptions of the character, but after learning that the show was cancelled after Disney bouught the TV license and was replaced by shittastic reboot of Ultimate Spider-Man TV show, I was entirley pissed and upset at the same time. These kind of cancellations of great TV shows, especialy action cartoons like Spectacular Spider-Man and even Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is what really grinds my gears. It's even worse when they get replaced by crappier and lower quality shows that we get nowdays. We barley have good quality action cartoons being aired on TV anymore and kids in this generation are just getting stuck with comedy cartoons, which a lot of them aren't even that good to begin with.
I always feel like kids deserve better animated shows that they are being given nowdays. Spectacular Spider-Man also inspired me to try to create my own action cartoon series that is also an inspiration not just from Spider-Man, but also from other action cartoons I have grown up with as well, like Danny Phantom, Generator Rex, Batman: TAS and Beyond, Samurai Jack, TMNT 2003 series, etc.
I rather have quality content being made, rather then having animated shows that always realy too much on humor and can actualy tell serious and mature stories, that don't talk down to it's general audiance.

Good video man. I do have to personally disagree; that Avengers EMH isn't as good as JLU. I loved both shows when first watching, but rewatching years later EMH is great but doesn't have the same depth.
But everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just think EMH is a great Super Hero Show. But JLU is possibly one of the best Shows every written
The JLU has the benefit of being part of a series of like 15 seasons. This was a fledgling universe. Who knows how good it could have gotten with time. I wish Disney didn’t fuck it up
Crazelord91 I feel the same way about your opinion but the other way around. I love EMH and really enjoyed JLU but JLU wasn't as big as I was hoping for like EMH. I think because JLU only had 39 episodes while EMH had 52 episodes and their storylines were more faithful to their comic book source material, and great story arcs from the characters origins and assembling for the first time, The Avengers vs. The Masters of Evil, the Kree-Skrull War and Secret Wars, and The Galactus Trilogy. If JLU had more episodes, then maybe I would've enjoyed JLU more than EMH. But like you said we all have our own opinions.
