The main problem with the early 2010s marvel shows is that they’re too afraid to be their own thing, so they try too hard to catch up with what the MCU’s doing. These shows like USM and avengers assemble had huge potential and you can see it at times with the storytelling but they fail by trying to incorporate MCU style humor in everything and missing what made the previous shows successful
I'm still suprised the whole Arsenal thing didn't directly lead to The Vision, though it is not stated, in my headcanon, Ultron created Vision in this show via Arsenal. Since, like MCU they are treating Ultron as a Tony Stark's creation not Hank Pym, then why not Vision as well. Amazed, writers never considered the obvious and blatant plotline right in front of them...
This show has a special place in my heart since it's the Avengers I grew up with and it will forever be one of my guilty pleasures. Story wise it's not that great, I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't hold a candle to Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I can't bring myself to dislike it. It's corny, it's cheesy, it's clunky but it's also FUN. This show brings to the table something the MCU severaly lacks: the Avengers feel like actual friends instead of co-workers. Avengers Assemble is just mindless entertainment, seeing it as anything else (especially comparing it to it's much better predecessor) only ruins the experience. If you already know and love the characters and go into it with average expectations, you most likely won't be disappointed...until the later seasons roll around...
@@mayotango1317 What Avengers comics have you read? The Avengers have had comics where they feel like a family and friends throughout their comic book history such as in the 70s and mid-to-late 80s. However they have had runs where they feel and act like terrible people such as the Jim Shooter run.
@@mayotango1317 The new Avengers comics by Brian Michael Bendis in the 2000s came the closest to the Avengers feeling like a family and friends. Spider-Man and Wolverine are buddies. Spider-Man grows close to Luke and Jessica (unofficially becoming the godfather of their daughter) New Avengers also created the Spider-Man and Ironman friendship... Which unfortunately got ruined thanks to Civil War.
the reset in season 3 was a massive disappointment. They could have done something with Justice League Unlimited and brought in countless Marvel heroes to protect the Earth
I never knew people disliked this show as it was the one I grew up on and when rewatching it I thought it was pretty good. I stopped at season 4 I think because I didn't like the changes to the animation
Oh yeah. This was hated. It’s still kinda hated by fans. They cancelled Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for this show that just exist to pander to the MCU. Which to be honest, that’s been a Marvel problem way before the MCU came along.
I know EMH is a much deeper show, but a lot of people really don't allow themselves to evaluate Avengers Assemble on its own. Sure it's a bit shallow, but it's fun.
This is one of my favorite shows. As flawed as season 5 was I found it better written and more suspenceful than the others. Ms Marvel and the Squadron are the best things about the show
@@mayotango1317 I'm wondering if you've seen it. The plot is dynamic and unique at times, the dialogue is usually banter or hilarious character interactions. Depending on the episode arcs
I might actually have to check it out now, I was always resentful for this show for EMH getting canceled and seeing one episode I thought seemed boring as a kid but every once in a while I've seen people appreciating it and then I watch this. I hope someday the Disney execs can lay off a bit on their overly strict brand image for marvel.
I just watched The Nighthawk episode and it was really good, it reminded me of Justice League Doom where Batman's countermeasures are stolen by the Legion Of Doom and they use them against the Justice League
It is funny that the last 3 seasons could have been much better if only one element was reduced. Season 3 Ultron, Season 4 the MCUation of the show and Season 5 the Avengers themselves(ironically)
I think the reason why there were EMH references in AA was for the sake of fanservice. Also I found it odd molecule kid didn't appear in Ultimate Spider-Man
I hated this replacement but I did like how they made a big effort to make all the shows connected with this universe like Hulk Agents of Smash, Guardians Of The Galaxy and Ultimate Spider-Man and the massive crossover Secret Wars

With the MCU, Marvel really doesn't need cartoons anymore to sell their merchandise. The worst one is the Hulk and Agents of S.M.A.S.H. because of the horrendous editing
They seemed to cancel the good shows and have the bad once keep going. They canceled spectacular spiderman and had ultimate spiderman going for 5 years qnd then marvel 2017 show which is still going dispite the hate.
The first 3 seasons of this show are amazing. Forever thankful for them. Wasnt old enough to watch the mcu when they were coming out so that aspect didnt affect me. The 5th season is awful tho, and the 4th season shouldve been solely about battleworld, although the episodes we did get were PHENOMENAL. Overall, the good aspects are so good that they outweigh any bad imo. I love this show.
I was never really into this series but I respect that some people liked it. One of the main reasons that I wasn’t into it was that They put Iron Man into the focus so much. There’s so many other cool characters that deserve more attention in my opinion. Still I like your review style and your interesting commentary. Good work on this video.
I enjoyed this review even though never seeing the show. And it's good that somebody makes quality content about the Marvel Animated shows, especially the new ones since almost everybody brings up the older ones if they talk about some Marvel cartoons. I hope the next show you review is either Spectacular Spider-Man or Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes. Subscribed

Also I loved the actor they got to voice iron man I think he did an awesome job not as awesome as the voice actor in Earths mightiest heroes but I mean hey he had big shoes to fill! But it’s still amazing 🤷🏼😂
I was one who hated the show out of spite due to cancellation of EMH. But, overtime I've actually grown to like this show. There are things this show does right, and things it greatly does wrong. But overall I like this show.
Don’t get me wrong, the show doesn’t hold a candle to earths mightiest heroes, but I would say avengers assemble along with ultimate Spider-Man are rather underrated.
Best thing about Superhero Squad Punisher cameo is that he is voiced by ray Stevenson who at that time played Punisher in this Ultimate R-Rated badass Punisher War Zone movie.
So Ultron shows up right after Thanos, steals the stones and usurps Arsenal - great - epic. But who the hell is he? By this, I mean, what is his AA-verse origin? We never see Tony create him, and I don't recall if Hank was even reffed in AA continuity. Among Tony's concerns in that arc is not that 'he was responsible for' Ultron so again, how is Ultron there when no one played with AI and created him?
Not only James Rhodes as War Machine has never at all in Avengers Assemble so does Pepper Pots why does are very important supporting to Tony how could you Disney.
its so funny too that marvel handled the show they way they did with the inhumans because they didnt own the movie rights, but when it comes to animation, cartoons, and games, the X-men are actually fair play, which if Disney was smart, they would have just put those characters in especially since the Fantastic Four and Wolverine showed up in the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes show a few times.
Congratulations for being the only person on you to make a good video on this series, and give it the respect it deserves. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is still infinitely better though.
For a writing standpoint, the show is passable but the problem was the motivation behind as this show was only created to cash-in on the MCU continuity.
Hey! The impossible man is one of the best marvel characters ever! His first appearance in the silver age fantastic four comic is classic! Rest in peace George Perez!
Thank god this show got cancelled. They should have made an emtire season dedicated to the squadron supreme and thunderbolts. Since they were among the best written villains on the show alongside red skull and some episodes with classic ultron.
35:02 it’s a nod to the third man to wield mjolnir Eric masterson who has gone from “the guy who would’ve stopped thanos” to “obscure” hero to kill off in April. I liked what they did with Arno stark I find iron man of the evil year 2020 more interesting as a hero in his own right but I do wish Eric masterson and the other future avengers had more time to show personality. And hey you may not like Jane foster being called thunder strike but it avoid the green lantern naming issue and considering she could have been beta ray Jane I think thunderstrike was the best name.
I didn’t think it was bad in the earlier seasons but as it went on… it was incredibly inconsistent in every way. Continuity, animation style, design, plot, characters etc… it made it hard for it to even seem like the same show. I honestly thought they were different shows for awhile.
12:47 Idk if this is a Marvel mistake or something, but Valhalla isn’t hell, it’s pretty much Heaven, Helhiem, or just Hel, is Hell. Valhalla is for people who have died honorably or in battle, Hel is for anyone who didn’t die in battle

Weird thing to focus on but I had to smile at the brief Agents of SHIELD mention. Feels like nobody talks about that show at all anymore. Would love to see a video on it!
In my opinion, it is easily my favourite marvel superhero cartoon show ever! I really love this show as a young boy when watching it on disney xd and my favourite character from avengers assemble is black widow. Edit: Another thing I love about disney xd's avengers assemble is the fact it's kid friendly for kids under 13 to watch and enjoy. Therefore it has no mature themes in it since it's a kids cartoon show.
In my mind this show was good until seasons 4 and 5 (season 3 was meh), even though they brought in the actual white wolf who’s T’challas adopted brother, but avengers EMH is still better overall and nothing can change that (also I get the hate towards the game but that felt like a cheap shot to an already universally know flop, even I don’t think it’s that bad of a game) (Also surprised that you didn’t mention that they got the same actor, James C. Mathis III, from EMH to voice black panther again)
What about the Christmas episode? Tony was already there. Like he was never trapped in an another dimension. And suddenly they bring him back like it was the first time he was out of the other dimension

The Avengers are not friends in the cómics.
@@mayotango1317 yes they are
@@gregtheradical I never feel that. They are workers parners, no friends.
@@mayotango1317
What Avengers comics have you read?
The Avengers have had comics where they feel like a family and friends throughout their comic book history such as in the 70s and mid-to-late 80s.
However they have had runs where they feel and act like terrible people such as the Jim Shooter run.
@@mayotango1317
The new Avengers comics by Brian Michael Bendis in the 2000s came the closest to the Avengers feeling like a family and friends.
Spider-Man and Wolverine are buddies. Spider-Man grows close to Luke and Jessica (unofficially becoming the godfather of their daughter)
New Avengers also created the Spider-Man and Ironman friendship... Which unfortunately got ruined thanks to Civil War.
the reset in season 3 was a massive disappointment. They could have done something with Justice League Unlimited and brought in countless Marvel heroes to protect the Earth
Whenever Thor said “ENOUGH”
You know Shii was finna get real
He's the GOAT
Avengers: Assemle had some good moments but, man, how many missed opportunities
Agreed
Like how Stark, Barton and Thor beats up Titania
Also including Scarlet Witch and Namor
I never knew people disliked this show as it was the one I grew up on and when rewatching it I thought it was pretty good. I stopped at season 4 I think because I didn't like the changes to the animation
Oh yeah. This was hated. It’s still kinda hated by fans. They cancelled Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for this show that just exist to pander to the MCU. Which to be honest, that’s been a Marvel problem way before the MCU came along.
@@gregtheradicaldamn, you don't know how to take other people's opinions.
@@gregtheradicalor didn't.
I loved it. It got a little bad as the seasons passed and the crossovers with other shows increased. The first 3 seasons are great though.
Didn't they crossover with two different spider-man shows being ultimate spider-man and Marvel's spider-man.
@@Tomy_Lightningi just don't know why they ruined all the character development they gave loki
I know EMH is a much deeper show, but a lot of people really don't allow themselves to evaluate Avengers Assemble on its own.
Sure it's a bit shallow, but it's fun.
There are certain things I like about Avengers Assemble MORE than how it’s represented in the MCU, for example the Hulk
Yeah, the hulk was most of time very calm, even when fighting he stayed somewhat calm
Hulk was my favourite, it really brought his character to a new light.
The Atuma intro episode hulk was 🔥
I grew up with avengers assemble so I'll always have a soft spot for it.
This is one of my favorite shows. As flawed as season 5 was I found it better written and more suspenceful than the others. Ms Marvel and the Squadron are the best things about the show
No, the dialogue is so bad and the plot a joke.
@@mayotango1317 I'm wondering if you've seen it. The plot is dynamic and unique at times, the dialogue is usually banter or hilarious character interactions. Depending on the episode arcs

Third if you count Wolverine and the X-men.
So happy to see a new vid from you I found your channel a while back with the Spider-Man content and loves it :-)
I just watched The Nighthawk episode and it was really good, it reminded me of Justice League Doom where Batman's countermeasures are stolen by the Legion Of Doom and they use them against the Justice League
And it still at times contradicted the other shows as well.
I actully really liked utlron in the show because he alway cam back, making him look like invincible and menacing.
Personally I think avengers assemble was so bad and a complete inferior show to avengers earth mightiest heroes which was really awesome and tons of fun, while avengers assemble on the other hand was so bad and a complete cash grab from the very beginning at least In my opinion if you enjoy this show that’s cool more power to you I won’t stop you because at the end of the day we all have are own opinions.

Subscribed
45:00 i forgot about thet thor vs the squadron supreme fight, but yeah that was probably my favorite thor moment in any series (just impressive seeing him taking on a super villian team by himself, and winning or have the odds liok good in his favor atleast for a good bit😅)
Okay kid, it's now time for you to cover Hulk And The Agents Of Smash (2013) and Guardians Of The Galaxy (2015).
Side note: You got yourself a new subscriber👍🏻
11:18 Well, I do prefer the version of the Guardians that had Star Lord voice by the Master Chief himself.
Also I loved the actor they got to voice iron man I think he did an awesome job not as awesome as the voice actor in Earths mightiest heroes but I mean hey he had big shoes to fill! But it’s still amazing 🤷🏼😂
I like avengers assembled iron mans voice better but I respect your opinion
Hey there me from the future here. They got Kamala right in the Disney+ show. Mind you, show wasn't great, but they got Kamala right.
Earth's Mightiest Heroes was the Best One! They should have made atleast 1-2 more seasons of that!
Bro I love how you even showed the anime avengers show, that is so underrated
I have a head canon that season 5 is just a part of the spider-man(2017)’s universe, and the first 4 seasons were in the ultimate spider-man universe
I was one who hated the show out of spite due to cancellation of EMH. But, overtime I've actually grown to like this show. There are things this show does right, and things it greatly does wrong. But overall I like this show.
Please do a video on Avengers EMH.
Do you think you would ever review shows like Spectacular Spider man, Avengers EMH, etc? Would like to hear your thoughts, good vid btw 👍

Best thing about Superhero Squad Punisher cameo is that he is voiced by ray Stevenson who at that time played Punisher in this Ultimate R-Rated badass Punisher War Zone movie.
The part where he sads it has shading should be a meme
I watched it one day with my nephew and as an adult, I had to watch it. It was so good because I love the comics when I was a kid.

Hello man, i've been waiting so much time for another video.
And sorry for my bad english, i'm latinoamerican lol
So Ultron shows up right after Thanos, steals the stones and usurps Arsenal - great - epic. But who the hell is he? By this, I mean, what is his AA-verse origin? We never see Tony create him, and I don't recall if Hank was even reffed in AA continuity. Among Tony's concerns in that arc is not that 'he was responsible for' Ultron so again, how is Ultron there when no one played with AI and created him?
The biggest question is they used every hero from the MCU to some of the most obscure characters but no...JAMES RHODES as WAR MACHINE!! Never ever...
Not only James Rhodes as War Machine has never at all in Avengers Assemble so does Pepper Pots why does are very important supporting to Tony how could you Disney.
I might one of the only people that actually like Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man
Nah you're not alone
I love both shows.
I remember watching this show as a kid it was really enjoying wish it didn’t get canceled
its so funny too that marvel handled the show they way they did with the inhumans because they didnt own the movie rights, but when it comes to animation, cartoons, and games, the X-men are actually fair play, which if Disney was smart, they would have just put those characters in especially since the Fantastic Four and Wolverine showed up in the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes show a few times.
Congratulations for being the only person on you to make a good video on this series, and give it the respect it deserves. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is still infinitely better though.
awesome video, I'd love to see you cover the guardians of the galaxy show sometime.
Yes and please do 😫
I like how Falcon’s new suit looks like Ken the eagle and joe the condor from gatchaman
Spider-Man got the black symbiote suit in the 1980s era Secret Wars, not the 2015 era Secret Wars story.

John David dropping more bangers

And nighthawk is voiced by Anthony ruivivar who voiced batman in beware the batman

In fact this wouldn’t be the first time that a batman voice actor would voice a batman ripoff remember nighthawk in marvel super hero squad? There nighthawk is voiced by Adam west the voice of batman in the 1966 show
Weird thing to focus on but I had to smile at the brief Agents of SHIELD mention. Feels like nobody talks about that show at all anymore. Would love to see a video on it!
The guy who voiced Thanos in this show appeared in Season 6 as a Kree in Agents of SHIELD

In my mind this show was good until seasons 4 and 5 (season 3 was meh), even though they brought in the actual white wolf who’s T’challas adopted brother, but avengers EMH is still better overall and nothing can change that (also I get the hate towards the game but that felt like a cheap shot to an already universally know flop, even I don’t think it’s that bad of a game)
(Also surprised that you didn’t mention that they got the same actor, James C. Mathis III, from EMH to voice black panther again)
