We have a G20 320d xDrive and it also had a rear differential leak. They replaced the gasket and fixed the issue. It was just very minor seeping at first. Also all of our issues during over 2 years of heavy taxi use along with rough driving, they have fixed every single thing to warranty for free. Hell they even replaced our worn out steering wheel for free. List of repairs/replacements: Rear bushings, front bushings, front right ball joint, front brakes (squeked when new, replaced after 20k kilometers), whole center console due to parking brake switch failure (yes they replaced the whole center console that had the gear selector and all the buttons), fixed ac making rattling noises when it adjusts, the rear differential gasket/seal whatever it is called, door hinges for driver side front door and the door knob cable for right rear passenger door (moisture gets in there and then freezes in winter causing the cable to fail). No big issues, 155 000 kilometers driven, lots of city driving and plenty of hard driving too. Way more hours on engine running idle than just 155k kilometers of driving would be. Oil gets changed every 13-15k kilometers. Interior is in good shape, exterior too besides the windshield, which gets replaced soon (insurance will cover). Everything gets performed by dealership service. We have some good people here in finland taking care of our cars :)
I dont want to sound pessimistic or anything but thats a lot of shit to change in a relatively expensive car no? Of course not counting in brakes since that counts as "consumables" together with rear right door/hinges when the car is used as a taxi. Still a lot of it for whats pretty much still a new car.. maybe Im a bit conservative but I would expect a car to get to 200-300k for big issues like a leaking differential..but then I also wouldnt change oil every 13-15k in a heavily city-run car (should be under 10k in my book, but again its not my car so why should you care about what I think :D)
@@MisoElEven all what i listed above were covered by warranty and the model was brand new. I was just being honest and also the use of the car was heavy. The streets in our city are very bumpy and the car was never "babied", it was driven quite hard, since it is a tool for our business. Now using a similar 320d xDrive 2021 with mild-hybrid technology, driven about 38500km and it has not had a single issue yet. When used as a taxi, people slam doors and pull them hard (because they are drunk) and the doors see way more use than an average car. We change the oil when the car requests it, it is usually around 13-15k kilometers. Never had issues in 20 years with an engine from BMW btw. Just one turbo, which probably was bad from the factory or something. Basically we take it to the dealer for maintenance every time, since we have a BMW care deal or whatever it is called in english. Also we pay for extended warranty for up to 200 000km/5 years. It is like 300-1000€ one-time payment and worth every cent. In fact, these european premium cars are popular as a taxi around here for a reason. The reason being, they are high quality products with high quality after sale care. Also 170 000km of city driving is a whole lot worse for a car than 200 000km of highway.
@@Manakuski doesn't matter if it's covered under warranty. That's a lot to be fixing. I still have a 04 g35 where none of those parts were ever replaced but maybe your not taking care of the car.
5k -6k per oil change F30 just reached 404,000 miles, 8 years old, n20 engine all original drivetrain, only preventative maintenance was done at 296,000 miles was Timing chain, guides, with Rod bearing, also high pressure fuel pump at 100,000 miles. Dinan stage 1 tuned, Dinan Catback, MST Turbo Inlet pipe, Wagner Evo 3 Competition Intercooler. All done at 3,000 miles
I've had mine for 3 years now fully specced out and haven't had any problems apart from my automatic boot motor breaking down and not opening or closing it. BMW fixed it but since that it's been fine.
I just bought the last 2022 330e in the US yesterday here in LA. The factory is changing over to the "facelift version" curved screen and iDrive 8 (which I wont be getting btw). The new version also comes with a $5,000 base price increase, so I can live with iDrive 7. My Top issues with the 2022 330e (I had a 2021 X3 30e Hybrid as well and some of the same problems in the 330e). 1. Why cant we set a specific interior temp with the awful BMW mobile App? 2. No lumbar even for the driver's seat -- Big Fail. The order sheet said it was installed but nope. Dealer said too bad, dont buy the car if you dont like that (nice huh?) 3. No comfort access so I have to use the keyfob everytime - it sucks. Annoyingly, the fob will put all windows down, but it wont close them like the X3 Hyb. I mean how stupid is that? 4. The Nav map gets "stuck" in a mode where the bars on the sides wont disappear anymore. The config menu should move out of the way. Also there are huge bezels around the screen esp on the left side by the driver. Seriously its gigantic and looks weird. 5. Finally the voice assistant will set the ac to a specific temp....BUT it has to be manually turned "on" with the AC button first. How stupid is that? My 2003 Acura TSX could do that with no problem. 6. The "Sport" mode was removed from all electric mode. So now, all electric mode is so slow - like driving a nissan leaf in eco mode uphill! 7. My back hurts after 2 days of driving because there is no lumbar support. 8. The BMW fob looks like its from the 1980s. The new VW fob for the ID 4 is amazing, this one is not. 9. For $50k, there is no included auto trunk opening/closing. Again, dealer said it was included unless it was deleted from the dealer sheet and it was not. 10. The vehicle is very nice inside (better than my X3 30e Hyb that a ton of cheap piano plastic everywhere). The metal mesh interior with NO plastic WOOD "accents" is wonderful. Those were so ugly.
Sold my G20 back to the dealership after it came with defective audio/stereo issues didn’t even register 500 miles on the car non of the functionality was there and bmw still had an issue with me. I purchased a 2021 M340i last March and last week the car overheated and towed to service. I was told that the pulley got loosened and that's why overheated. The worst part is that they had to call BMW America to get authorization for repairs. I guess I'll be car shopping again soon.
Anyone had issues with their 2020 M340i where the air conditioner blows very less amount of air through the vents at max Ac and it feels as if the fan is at low speed but barely noticeable air flow ?
I read somewhere that BMW's HK sound system measures horribly, not worth adding over the standard system. I did not add HK to my X5 build. The standard one is not bad for light listening. And run flat tires are on my X5. But after some research, I've decided not to include rft on my next BMW buy, which is... the M340i like yours! The 18 inch wheels are what I am going to choose as well but with non rft.
I got tired of the run flats on my F10 so I bought a BMW spare and keep it in the trunk. Bought non run flats and the ride quality is much better, they were cheaper and they'll last a lot longer.

The road hazard warranty is 1 year from the initial tire purchase itself. They also do not cover the mount and balance. I hate the lack of low end torque - and it can't (currently) be resolved with any engine or transmission tune. It's very lazy off the line and slow revving. It's clear that BMW has imposed underlying limits on tuning ability for G20 (I have heard 1st and 2nd gear are ECU torque limited). I have over 310hp/340 tq, on various tunes (including xHP trans tune) and 0-60 tim is only 5.3 seconds. Stock is 5.7 seconds. Regarding with tyres, not sure why you got those smaller alloys and runflat even in M340i variant. Here in Europe, it comes with only 19" and PS4S performance tyres for M340i.

I have had a BMW m340i for about a year now and have driven 30k now. I have had 0 issues. Nothing rattles nothing squeaks no issues. Also run flats aren’t bad. I think you just got a lemon from the Mexican factory.
I would love this car bc it's fast. But, a Lexus IS 350 F Sport with handling package is better simply bc I don't have to fix anything. Lexus is pure luxury. Status. BMW today is more for those who have money to blow, grandiose folks. I'll take the old-man Lexus. Oil leaks? Well that's a typical BMW. What's wrong with that? Spar tire? Who needs one of those? The extra tire would cost $5,000 add on.
It’s funny you mention this because I actually sold the m340i and have a 21 is350 now, it’s a nice car but simply doesn’t have the spirit that the m340i does. That being said, both are solid cars, but the m340i was definitely a lot more fun to drive IMO
@@thebeamerbros300 I wouldn't be surprised at that. The IS is under powered. That can be fixed though with some aftermarket stuff. The engine in the M340i is one of the best engines ever made. It can easily go up to 500hp+ without even rebuilding the bottom end.
Runflats suck everyone knows this man, also like this car in EU where it’s meant to be bought and where all services work perfectly. For me everyone who knows and has loved BMW 3 series for last 30,40 years will always buy it 330d M sport. Especially this new generation G20. That car is what BMW does best.
I have a 2020 330i. a lease. It's my 5th 3-series. Had 2 E92's ('12 & '13) and 2 F30's, a 2014, and a 2018. Loved all of them. Loved. The G20 is easily my least favorite BMW. It annoys on so many levels, I don't know where to begin. First off, it's a 3 series in name only. What it really is, is a 5 series light. So it lacks that slightly raw sporty feel that 3 series cars have always had. It has no 'X-factor. up to and including the 'piped-in' engine sound. Its steering is way too light, even in sports mode, the standard stereo is really, and I mean really shit, (why 'o why didn't I get the HK system) the interior switchgear feels cheap and crappy, and the instrument display is an un-configurable mess. I do not recommend this car. It is not an honest experience. If I were honest with myself, I just bought the 'badge'. And I regret it. I will try and get out of my lease early if possible. Thanks for reading!
Strange. To me the G20 is a straight upgrade from an F30 in just about every single way. On iur second G20 320d xDrive and loving it. If your steering feels off, maybe check tires for pressure and check alignement? Those in my experience have a big effect in steering. If you are in 17":s, go for 2.9bar, if 18":s, go for 3bar across all tires. Also bring your car in for an alignement check, sometimes it can be a bit off from the factory or from transport, has happened to us once.
How are your brakes and steering? Can you make a video imitating mine so we can compare and I can show BMW? They've been saying its normal for a year now.

@@zekaifan4544 Well. I have seen some 340s built in Mexico, probably most of them though are built in Germany.
@@jetjockey70 From 2021 on all of the M340 for North American Market are built in Mexico. Pisses me off really...
Well done video. Makes me want to keep my e90 forever!
What about reliability?
So far I’ve had about 20k miles with no major issues mechanically thus far (knock on wood)
@@thebeamerbros300 That’s amaizing, thanks for the feedback bro.
Update a year later ?
I just bought a BMW 330 so i appreciate your examples of issues. No problems at the moment but i am worried about getting a flat.
congrats bro ! i had a quick question if you don’t mind , how much is the car payment and the full coverage?
@@kevinsalesconsultanta 330i runs at 31K so if you have good credit it should be 480 to 500 a month if you can get a low interest rate at 1% at a bank
I have had a BMW m340i for about a year now and have driven 30k now. I have had 0 issues. Nothing rattles nothing squeaks no issues. Also run flats aren’t bad. I think you just got a lemon from the Mexican factory.
He should try some holy water. Get rid of those weird sounds.
That's why I always buy LCI2 Beemers..
Bimmer not Beemer, those are motorcycles
These problems are all due to your engine choice and where you live. This car you buy 330d M sport and then you have the best BMW there is.
Get a spoiler man 😬
I have a 2020 330i.
First world problems.
Also bring your car in for an alignement check, sometimes it can be a bit off from the factory or from transport, has happened to us once.
this is just sad, everything should work and right the first time, umm rethinking bmw and thinking American
You just talked shit in this video without any supporting evidence!
no mic + loud bgm = super amnoying. please redo the video

Bro the rims are dogcrap....
You made a big mistake for not buying a c8 corvette and it’s probably very close in price with this
I wonder if the new M3 will be faster then the c8
@@avishkarsingh744 g80 m3 will have 480hp and the competition will have 510hp... Check shmee he drove the prototype g80 m3
No we didn't. I have a family and they don't fit in a Corvette...
I think you have a transformer lol
Your problems are minor, take a look at mine.
Warranty should cover everything. Let me know if you have issues with your dealer. Dealer will always say nothing is wrong.
How are your brakes and steering? Can you make a video imitating mine so we can compare and I can show BMW? They've been saying its normal for a year now.
What problems have you had?
First World Problems.🤦🏻♂️
