- In this video I show you how to code your BMW to unlock the Assisted Driving View on iDrive 7. We also unlock Lane Change Assist.
This is for cars in the USA, please check your local regulations before attempting to follow this video.
The newer BMWs have some pretty decent autonomy and I'm looking forward to using it.
I used E-Sys 3.33.4 and E-Sysx launcher to accomplish this. Here is a thread showing you how to set it up:

This was the same issue I was having my 2020 7 series. Wasn’t comfortable doing the coding in this video so I took it to a BMW coder in my area and now I have this feature.
I tried the same on my G20 330i using bimmer code and changed the 4 codes mentioned here. Glad to say it works!

@@EdPOD You can get to 2 out of the three (Body and headunit) options for Lane Change. SAS2 is not available in bimmercode.

my 2022 330i X has the cheaper default gauge cluster. Will it still work?

Did not work for my G20 320 MSport with driver assistance pack. Car bought in 2019. Any idea? Update: had to go in to the instrument cluster menu and enable the assisted view there. Works like a charm!
I just received my e-sys cable, to connect w iPad Pro usb-c to ethernet adapter. I will purchase Bimmercode now. You did that with Bimmercode app right? (I hope) I have the march 2019 G20, so hope that works. I would not know how to do it on something like e-sysx...
@@EdPOD I did mine through esys with the latest psdz data from this month. Lots you do can through esys that you can’t do with bimmer code. Bimmer code does not have support for every ecu but does for most of them.
Does your 320M have câmera 360? I activated the assisted Drive by BimmerCode and enabled the option in iDrive. But when activating, the panel doesn't appear at all. Is it because my vehicle only has a reverse camera? Or doesn't that influence?

I wonder if you could disable the hands on the wheel nanny? I believe Chinese cars have it turned off from the factory.

Does lane assist works better after this update? For example outside of highways , on normal roads where it tend to disengage time to time.

1. Under BDC changed SPURWECHSEL_ASSISTENT to Acktiv
2. Under HU_MGU changed SPURWECHSELASSISTENT to gen1
For Step-3, in the video it was mentioned that I need to code SAS2 Module, but in my X7 I can't find SAS2 module. I can only see SAS3 Module and I can't find C_SWA_VORHAWDEN
Am I Doing something wrong ?
FYI: Mine is 03/2019 X7 40i with DAP and has 07.2020.35 version software.

That's a great tutorial. My car is 07 /2019 system, I am in China, I do not know if it can be set, and if the steering rod does not return to normal, will it change course all the time？
How did you know which modules and parameters to activate?
The BMW driver assistance mode driving ability are lot better than Tesla, the Tesla autopilots doesn’t feel comfortable in the car when it is turned on.
Tesla's new FSD beta just blew BMW's autopilot out of the water, I would like to see BMW do left and right turns, stop at stop signs, and automatically change lanes without interaction.

Does it work on a 320i 2020M with driving assistance but without a 360 camera? Mine has only sensors throughout the car and reverse camera. There are no cameras in the rearview mirror and front camera
hi great video! is there a way to extend the time hands off steering wheel? im in s.korea and the hands off the wheel is like 3 seconds which is pretty useless..

Please help, I can see "assisted driving view" in the display settings but when I select it, it doesn't show up in my cockpit. Is there another setting to enable?

Hello amazing video - recently purchased a ‘20 M340iX with the pro package but lane assist is not enabled nor available in the settings. I’ve followed the video all the way up to “SVTCompare”. I select Read Coding data and expand the “+” then right click and “SVTCompare” is not available. What could I be doing wrong? Thanks!

Hello sir. I have 2019 X5 G05 with assistant driver PRO. I do have the view showing up in the centre cluster , However its not working i just see the lanes , my car doesn’t show nor does it show the vehicles in traffic. Can you guide me please. Thanks for your time in advance.

My 330 was built before July / 2019, because I received my car on July 5, and I'm in Brazil ... I waited 30 days to receive the car that was made in Germany. It worked perfectly here!
Hi. I have wached the video, but since English is not my native language, I didn't catch all information. According my car's specification I have only stop&go function (bmw code is 5DF). Is it possible to activate any other assistants?

No I don't have surround view on my car and it works.

I think my 2019 BMW 330i only have Driver Assist. I also notice my front lower grill does not have the sensor like you do. Will this still work?

Man I’m pissed I have a G20 2021 and my car doesn’t do ANY of the things here and I also have a GD governor on set for 130Mph/210Kph on my car!
The sadder part is that IM IN GERMANY WITH A US SPEC CAR!! They say they won’t undo it since it’s meant for the states but they also won’t release my remote starter because it’s still in Germany! So they are screwing me two different ways!! Anyone know if I should say fuckem and get bimmer code but not screw up my warranty?

From my understanding, it will. There is a box you can connect to your BMW that does not trip the security system. I read it a while back on one of the BMW forums.

I know that this content might not appeal to all my audience, it'll get views in a few years probably. But I figure the E90 owners will appreciate how far the tech has come and a number of them will be looking at buying a newer BMW one day. There will be more E90 content coming. I should probably do some coding on the F15 now that I got Esys setup.
@@VehicularDIY i guess that shows what's to come for many people just in a few years. It also shows that g20 is still a very "codable" and customizable vehicle, unlike most latest four ring brand cars, which used to be easily customisable via coding too, but that's no longer the case.

It's the IR monitor that makes sure your eyes are on the road. You'll have it if you have assisted driving.
my bmw x7 m50d had only cruise control stop and go! it can do the same?
Yeah the X7 with adaptive cruise can do the same.

You can yes, I opt not to just to avoid any potential issues but you can.

Is coding my car considered flashing? I don't want to void my warranty.
Flashing is updating the software and coding is changing the parameters on software already loaded on your module.

My 320D was produced before 07-2019. I have a Driving Assistance Professional package. Do you know whether there was any reason why this feature is still not enabled for G20 cars produced before 07-2019, is it due to some Hardware limitations?
From what I've read there is no difference in the hardware.

3Maxell I updated my software to 03/2020.40, but still it didn’t get this feature. So I used BimmerCode to enable this feature myself. And it’s working perfectly. Only thing I couldn’t enable using BimmerCode was the Lane Change assistant. For that, I think Esys coding is the only option .

As long as you're running 07/2019.55 you should be able to code this. You could verify your software version in IDrive.

This feature is not available for the X3 since it doesn’t have the Driving Assistant Professional only the old Driving Assistant Plus.
@@maximiliand2939 are you referring to the idrive 7? Our model is getting the live cockpit. All X3 after July builds gets the new idrive.

Unlike the 2020 7 Series the X3 and the 5 Series aren't getting the Driving Assistant Professional which is mandatory for this feature.
