While it's a team effort the author clearly has a bit more importance since without him OPM wouldn't even exist.

Honestly I believe you can start a good studio now days as long as you have good work environment and conditions. They need days off, decent pay, no tight schedule, well balanced budget and respect to the workers. Then great animators would come to you. He's already way more than experienced enough to bring his art to animation, seen from his own previous projects too. Also I think it's insane to consider him primarily as a key animator in the studio, it's probably more likely he could be the animation director, which would allow him to have the final choices in vetting what his choice key animators and in-betweeners produce and add corrections to keep consistency of design between the team to his own style.

i dont believe that the MAPPA leak was false, i believe it was true at the time but due to all the issues surrounding MAPPA such as overworked staff and even some staff bailing, they simply can no longer afford to take on the OPM S3 project and as such, Murata has opened up his very own studio in order to bring the content to his fans asap

Murata read One's webcomics and loved it and One loved eyeshield so they both agreed to collaborate. The manga still basically follows the webcomic but any changes in the manga goes through One first.
