@@light5869 Aemond was chained to vhagar, it was impossible defend himself.
I love Aemond but this is not true... Criston is the best fighter of the dance, it's not really up for debate. People make that one training scene where Criston is swinging at the air for Aemond to practice into a big deal. He's great, but he hasn't surpassed Criston at all.

AHAHA yeaaaah, I thought that was a good sign at first, implying that he’s well aware of the privilege and glory of riding one. Kinda like the trope of “the best leader is the one who doesn’t want to lead” - I figured maybe it was a sign that he was cut out for it 🫢
@@CatherineLaSalle I felt that another reason Ser Stephan failed and Seasmoke chose Addam instead was that in Addam's case he is a direct decedent of a Valeryon while Stephan's ancestors were married to Targaryons many generations ago. So the blood is much "thinner" in his case.. but we'll see who Silverwing and Vermithor choose as riders to know for sure if that indeed is the case..
RIP the guard who was told to sheath his sword. Seasmoke gave me the biggest jump scare of the show so far for sure. I wouldn't underestimate Aemond's swordfighting, after being bullied when young he grew up obsessed with learning swordfighting/reading to be stronger/smarter.
The Council learning that Aemond isn’t like Aegon he doesn’t care what you have to say he’ll hear you out but you can’t influence him because unlike his brother he has a mind of his own

Cmon we all know Daemon and Caraxes is obviously the most experienced and skilled in the realm but to say that Aemond and Vhagar is nothing when he is one of the most skilled swordsman and easily destroyed meleys by using war tactics is idiotic. He obviously has a chance against them lmao.

I would argue that Aemond does live in Daemon’s head rent free. Literally last episode he was telling Alys that she should pray that she never meets him saying the kingdom will be in ruins if Aemond rules. Also when he was telling Blood and Cheese about him he told them to be careful because Aemond is good in a fight. And like you already mentioned, he was thinking about him at Harrenhaul. So I highly disagree that Daemon doesn’t think about Aemond at all. You might not like Aemond but he is a threat. Arguably the biggest threat.
They both are for their respective sides and both sides know it
Yeah, Daemon mentioned Aemond like 7 different times this season unprovoked. Aemond only mentioned Daemon only twice (one of which was when he was the target of his assassination attempt). Pretty safe to say that Daemon thinks about Aemond more than the other way around.
Damon does think about him a lot, but not in the reverence type of way from what I picked up. Maybe I'm projecting, but it seems like Damon sees him like an annoying but capable pest.
Didn't notice until she mentioned how there's thematic contrast in the writing between the greens fragmenting vs. the blacks trying to grow, but think that's what's happening internally to the characters on each side too. But at the same time, feel like the weirwood therapy is a trap and the green witch is going to keep damon in harrenhall and no one will know or turn him into a predecessor for Bran.
