Love the reaction! I hope people start seeing that Alicent wasn't a bad mother though. She was 15 when she had her first child, 20 when she had her last, she was practically still a teen and forced to be married to a way older man, it wasn't her fault if she didn't raise her children as people expected to. She did as well as she could given the situation she was in where everybody was plotting in her back. For the people comparing her to Rhaenyra, she had her fer child with 20 and the last when she was over 30, so Rhaenyra's youngest son was born the year that Alicent's last son was born, you can't compare a teen mom without a partner to help her with a young woman with a partner and others (like Rhaenys) to help.
Funny how Rhaenyra "cares" for the smallfolk, when she never really thought about them before. She was lucky to have Mysaria on her side in order to go with this war strategy, because that's what it is...
She's also the entire reason they are currently starving.

Nettles won't be in the show sadly. She was interested mainly for having no discernible Valyrian feature yet bonding with a dragon, a massive one at that, and also having a close relationship with Daemon. I believe she wasn't included in the show to not highlight a horrible side from Rhaenyra as she was racist and jealous of Nettles, ordering her execution at the end (which failed). But now what will be the role of Sheepstealer? 🧐🧐🧐

But it was important to show Rhaenyra's fall and it wasn't about how Nettles looked, it was about bastards... it's also the critical moment for Daemon, this change is too big, it has way too many ripples moving forward. Also, this ruins Rhaena's story toward the end of the war where she's essential (but maybe it's after the stop point they have in mind for the show)

You are my spirit-whatever the hell is for relatable, this is legit me the whole episode.
The problem with giving different storylines and people complaining is that they’re simply isn’t enough time and money to completely adapt what GRRM envisioned. There are just too many characters to have reprising their roles consistently, and some of the settings where events take place are just too abstract to show. It honestly makes a lot of sense that they are blending and mixing storylines with different characters.
Also, I’m pretty sure Daemon was crying because he knows it’s too late to do what he SHOULD have done and been there for Viserys all those years. He now finally sees his mistakes and regrets in a clear light and knows they’ll be with him forever.
I hope they don't give Nettles story to Rhaena, Nettles is an great character even without the dragon she has personality she isn't lady like, she talks her sh*t, she is simply a badass that, from being the lowest of the low in society and scaping by to survive, while Rhaena is royalty and she is so boring whenever she is one screen, she has 0 interesting scenes and if giving her a dragon changes her whole personality that's dumb is she gonna become confident???, plus there a great character growth and story plotlines that would basically be thrown out because of it, Please showrunner black woman are not interchangeable just because Nettle is black and you made Rhaena's black in the show doesn't mean they can just be combined.
And this is coming from someone who says the books need to be taken with a grain of salt because the point of them is they are written from the perspective of someone who wasn't actually there so something may be misinformed but there are parts of the story that which wouldn't make sense to change your not gonna tell me that Rhaena and Nettles were the same person and in history she was thought to be someone else that is dumb. But from a show perspective this seems like a move to save money from hiring more "black woman" seems suspicious why not combine Addam and Alyn... jk jk relax. but honestly seems like away to save money on actresses
You never know as she might be introduced in the 3rd season and claims either of the 2 other most known wild dragons if they are willing to change the story as drastically already. Imagine nettles claiming the cannibal lol

You must think all black people look alike but since we're on the subject, the show turning the Valaryians black is one of the dumbest decisions they ever made. "Oh yeah, our houses come from the same motherland and we share blood from ancient times but the Targayrans look German while the Valariyans look sub-saharan African. Another example of non-sensical DEI.

Vhagar is the only servicable dragon that the Greens have right now. If he leaves for the Gullet then Kings Landing is open for the taking.

Deamon really never grieved the loss of the throne , vs his brother to whom even tho he was a dick he was also very loyal and loving , we saw it why the crown falling that he put back on his brother head scene in season 1 , and perhaps also being motherless ? (weird he dreamt having sex with her lol , i think he never even saw her in his life) , so he is grieving that rn hopefully to be a better man , he isn't an absolute scum but he can get quite dark without staining himself or so he though ( with the brakens business and the sad stuff about the babe of Heleanna )

If someone likes dragons very much, something like this shouldn't bother him or be disgusting for him.
It wouldn't bother me, even if it were shown in detail. dragon mating scenes are ok if they are shown in a simple and light way. Thanks to this, they could show that dragons are not only brutal and aggressive, that they are more emotionally complex creatures and can also be friendly, kind , nice , cute , funny and even romantic.
It doesn't matter if Alicent pushed for Aegon to be king or not. The greens were going to make him king regardless. Outside of being a bitch to Rhaenyra for like 15 years and being a bad mother Alicent didn't do anything.
