@@derikk3215 Except he isn't. Even if they kill him, Aemond is the next in line, and after that is Daeron. As long as there is a male successor, the greens' claim stands! Rhaenyra has to kill all of them not just Aegon!

Book: Team Black vs Team Green Series: Rhaenyra, Daemon, Jace, Alicent, Aegon, Helaena, Larys vs Aemond Agreed, writers needs to be fired (especially Sara Hess)
my predictions for next seasons- 1. Team black takes kings landing. 2. Aegon has escaped so Rhaenyra thinks Alicent lied to her about sacrificing him. But Alicent vows she will find him and plots war against Aemomd to gain back the trust of the queen. 3. Helaena becomes best friends with Rhaenyra. 4. Alys starts torturing Aemond in Harrenhal. Daemon was redeemed through the visions but Aemond won't be because he is the true villain. 5. Aegon is finally found and brought to King's landing. Rhaenyra executes both him and Larys for treason. 6. Aemond is finally defeated and drowns himself with vhagar in the God's eye. 7. Rhaenyra reigns happily with King Consort Daemon and 2 Queen Consorts Alicent and Mysaria.
In the books there are 2 more wild dragons at Dragonstone… hope they will include them… but maybe not. Cause they were part of the Dragon-Seed storyline… so maybe they aren’t showing up. Would be sad, cause one of them is the baddest fkr ever

I agree with you on the Rhaenyra and Alicent scene: Rhaenyra seems to cling to be the "strong leader" and put a final end to the opposition. It seems like Otto's warning (she going to kill your children) would be coming true, whereas Alicent spoke out against killing Rhaenyra. People could argue as much that Alicent started it all, but I'm not sure of that, sure she played a role, but she was not the only one and she is aware of her misstakes. I'm sure all the "righteous" viewers who condemn her are without misstakes themselves. I, myself can't help but feel for Alicent; in Jaime's words: we don't choose who we love.

I absolutely love how Ulf doesn't have a care in the world. He was strarving and living in poverty in Kings Landing partly because of Rhaenyra's blockade. Then they just threw him and the other dragon seeds in front of the fiercest dragon at Dragonstone without instructions knowing very well he would most likely die. By chance he happened to claim a dragon and now they expect him to be a warrior, with honour and etiquette who cares about their concerns and politics. He owes them nothing, Silverwing was hardly "theirs" and I think it makes perfect sense he just wants to live it up now that he "matters" for the first time in his life.
This episode and the dumb conversation to end the season has made it blatantly clear that the writers WILL NOT hold Rhaenyra and the Blacks responsible or to the same standard they will for Alicent and the Greens. "A son for a son." Excuse me um do you not remember that your husband had a prince killed at the beginning of the season. Corlys has completely forgotten that Rhaenyra is responsible for both the death of his son and wife. The red sowing and the starving of the people of Kings Landing completely ignored. Rhaenyra is good and hold no responsibility, Alicent is bad and holds all of it and that is it. She will also apparently let her brother, father and sons die to save herself and her daughter. Bullshit.
She has to kill her half siblings otherwise the realm / the ppl against her will see her as weak and try to instal them against her. That is the harsh truth
Yeah as much as if Aegon has her, he will have to kill her but Allicent is a toad and a traitor, evil mother and Rhaenyra shouldnt ask a mother to help her to kil all her sons that shit is fucking evil.
What evil, they have already burned thousands of people on their dragons. Someone's fathers of children. The least one can ask for is the death of just one son.
lmao standing up for Helaena than selling out Aegon. Wow did this show do Alicent dirty just to make the greens look much worse while making the blacks look good at every turn.
@@drakeross9571 For their characters compared to the books? Yeah, they ruined Rhaenyra. At least she was interesting in the books now she is just bland. However, the only character among the blacks that gets blamed for any wrongdoing is Daemon. Rhaenyes killed her own people, nobody mentions it. Rhaenyra killed 70 bastards who are her own people, nobody mentions it. Aegon kills rat catchers suddenly all the smallfolk and his own family mention it. Almost like the showrunner is trying to tell us something.
The Gods Eye is right near Harrenhall. So you know what’s gonna go down. A one on one showdown between the two most compelling characters in the series. You already know their name. And the two most vicious dragons in the series 😏.
They turned Alicent into an idiot this episode, last season she stood between a dragon and her son to protect him. Now she’s willing to let her children, her family and her lover die because of, reasons?
So sad we didn't get a battle or super turnt twist. Time to forget this series exists until next season XD. That hair style looks great on you by the way.
Rhaenyra has to kill him there is no good person in war she needs to do it or people will see her as weak and won’t accept and another rebellion will happen 😅 she’s right 🤷🏾♂️
Sadly, the path you want her to take is not the right path. Don’t get me wrong out of all the characters I sympathize with Aegon the most and he has becomes one of my favorite in this series, but you cant have him stay alive because that will always divide the realms of who should be the rightful heir. She literally needs to eliminate all opposition! And of course Alicent would let her kill her son for Helena.
Love your reactions to House of the Dragon episodes. Also and maybe it's just me but you and Jenna Ortega have very similar sounding voices. Pretty cool
Ryan Condal has made the same mistakes that D&D made. It's like HBO learned nothing from that Game of Thrones disaster! Deviating from the book and changing characters' arcs and events just to serve some messed up narrative! I love this world, and it's heartbreaking to see it getting destroyed bit by bit like that.
@@drrohanjacob It is insulting. look at this episode for instance. Alicent defending Helaena against Aemond as if she changed (taking Aegon prior scenes in mind) just to later sell out Aegon, her son at the end of the episode. Funny stuff.
Aemonds weakness is humiliation. Hes doomed because of that. If he surrenders then he will be humiliated until he dies. And if he goes to war he will die. He has no choice.
Lohar is introduced as a man. "His name is Lohar. The sailors are fiercely loyal to him." But she's clearly a woman. YOU refer to her as a woman. But, the character is a man. What am I missing?
I will say this felt like the first time the writers actually wrote adult Rhaenyras right, they spent so much time writing her as this altruistic righteous person, claiming doesn’t want the throne but the betterment for the people, but in reality she does want the throne. She is petty still clinging to a son for a son when in theory that has been paid whether by her order or Daemons, she claims she does it for the Realm and that may be what she wants to believe it’s for but there is some selfishness Sprinkled in. It was Aegon who didn’t want the authority, who drank himself into nothing because he never felt the love of his father. Who when given power hearing Viserys changed his mind finally felt loved by his father and I believe that is why he had not all this happened wouldn’t have gotten bored but would have raised to the challenge and honor the memory of Viserys among the people, until his son was killed. Don’t get me wrong he has many flaws still
It was Aegon was is also a rapist. All these people are fucked. Only reason I prefer Rhaenyra for the crown to Aegon is Aegon's immense incompetence because he was not prepared well for rule the way Rhaenyra was.
The amount of whitewash for main female heroines is beyond belief comparing to book. They were egoistical, cunning and cruel in the original - and because of that much more interesting (of course the final scene was completely fabricated - and was impossible in the original). If GoT had several villainesses or complex heroines - it seems nowadays they lost any will to portray women more realistically.
And why is that? There’s a difference between bad writing and writing choices you don’t like. S7,8 made yall forget the importance of slowburns, setups and payoffs, yall complained in GoT that things are too rushed and now say this is boring and bad written.
@@clashcitycretin10 quite literally the opposite. This season reeked of season 8 contrivances. Season 1 had so much better storytelling and just flat out logic. The strikes 100% affected this season.
@@igoonx15no, the logic of the characters are just bad, because the writers are forcing bad themes into the story. Alicent showing up to dragon stone is illogical. Full stop.
I would strongly advice anyone that enjoyed that whitethree sequence to remember that all those mysterious and cool looking plot points literally GO NOWHERE.
The hypocrisy between both sides is evident but my thing here was that.. it could have been avoided a long time ago with an EYE FOR AN EYE but rhaenyra thought that was too much and wouldn’t allow it and even Alicent cooled down after and said she didn’t want that. But Rhaenyra is completely cool now with forcing Alicent to choose a SON FOR A SON even though they already killed a damn baby. Both sides suck.
@@ExaileWalter my thing is, the king is basically done. It’s Aemond that deserves the axe, 100% because of everything he’s done. That’s the true opposition and he needs to be dealt with. I don’t think Alicent would even argue against that either. Though she wouldn’t outright give her conscent because that’s still her son. Rhaenyra making her agree to her sons death just to save her daughter and herself was cruel.
I think the main reason Rhaenyra didn't do it 1 by 1, is because as soon as the first one dies, the rest would flee. It's like inviting another high-born person to claim a dragon after Ser Steffon died. No one would agree to it.

basically you demand that a mother do nothing to stop their horrible kid. just coddle them and tell them its alright, even when its not. good mothers tell hard truths. if Jace was a brutal horrible thug, yes i hope to god that Rhaenyra would try to rein hjim in and get him back in line by telling him, "dont do anything until you learn how to be a good guy"
I came to sympathize more with her; call me crazy.
Not a spoiler - just my take - "wooden throne" is most likely just an acknowledgement that Aegon's injuries are such that they are incompatible with sitting on an Iron Throne - that he'll be like his father sitting on a wooden wheelchair.
@@tomwillcutts2918 yeah i thought it would mean dragonstone but i remembered that dragonstone's throne is carved out of stone
Don't apologize for all your comments - it's what makes your Channel special. MOREOVER - it's nice that you pause and think things through. Nothing is more annoying than people who talk over the Lines and then as a result ... miss obvious points and get things backwards. Often when your first impression is wrong - it is rewarding to see you work it out and correct yourself on the spot. You are a Treasure - I am totally new to your Channel, because I don't follow most of what you watch - anime and the such, where I enjoy movie reactions. When Rhaenyra asked Alicent what would she do about her taking Aegon's head, Alicent shakes her head crying and Rhaenyra starts crying too because she understands that's a yes. It was worldess but understandable.
This right here. I feel she missed that little gesture that spoke volumes.
maybe a wooden throne b/c he’s too deformed to sit on the iron throne, with all its sharp edges
Alicent & Rhaenyra are forgetting its not just Aemond & Aegon that would have to be killed.. also Daeron & probably Otto too. they’ll all conspire against Rhaenyra forever. Haelena is probably ok, but her surviving children Jaehaera & Maelor might grow up resentful that their brother & father where murdered for Rhaenyra. Alicent is subconsciously forgetting all that i think. great reactions btw!
No maelor in the show
53:34 yes, they all need to be gone for her line to be unchallenged. Cause it might not be Aegon, but can she trust Aegon's children? And his grandchildren?? Asoiaf's history proves it when the blackfyres challenged the crown for generations
has Alicent said , Aemond gone , Haleana is the crown , she can tell ppl to do stuff. and they will actually follow , because dragons , if haelena say she can't or won't fight and that the crown surrender , then they got no choice .

@@derikk3215 Except he isn't. Even if they kill him, Aemond is the next in line, and after that is Daeron. As long as there is a male successor, the greens' claim stands! Rhaenyra has to kill all of them not just Aegon!
@@100EmotionalDamage There's an argument for that. But only Aegon actually sat on the throne and proclaimed himself king. So there is no doubt about needing to take his head for all to see.

yeah , Rhaenyra doesn't have much choice she time and time again tried to avoid conflict , you saw that all season long , she thought having more dragons would force the opposition to surrender , it has not , in fact Aemond burned civilian from her side for it ... She has to go to war , and she is aware of the death that will cause , TBF she would have given up on the throne if it wasn't for the Prophecy . and the thousand that would die she refers to the mens that will fight in the war , not the innocent , she is considering them too . but if she doesn't fight innocent will die too .

Book:
Team Black vs Team Green
Series:
Rhaenyra, Daemon, Jace, Alicent, Aegon, Helaena, Larys vs Aemond
Agreed, writers needs to be fired (especially Sara Hess)
my predictions for next seasons-

That looks more like wishful thinking than a prediction.
“What does it free you from” wdym look at the world they live in 😭
In the books there are 2 more wild dragons at Dragonstone… hope they will include them… but maybe not. Cause they were part of the Dragon-Seed storyline… so maybe they aren’t showing up. Would be sad, cause one of them is the baddest fkr ever
YES , she have to , it's because of the way it is , the falk and lords wouldn't take it well that she'd spare the opposition , also the opposition could try stuff again later or during the next gen ... she must take Aegon and Aemond too tbh heads , sucks to be the crown , sucj to be ppl of power in these settings , you are well fed , but you have to uphold a stature and have responsibilities (if you are with honor)
So…they really just casually showed one of the Green Men on screen like that?
i think people needs to understand war is not won by making nice decisions and the side that wins is considered to have made the right ones
Yes, Rhaenyra does deserve to be Queen!!!! She is Viserys’ heir!!!!!!!!!!!

Alicent really turned out to be a coward in the end if she admits it she becomes a better person

Glad you liked it. Many people hate it (with good reasons, but maybe too much). It was ranked the worst season final since GotS8.
Exactly he owes them nothing coz they trapped him there to die, and could have easily die but achieved the impossible so...
Birds
He owes them, because if he does not agree to bend the knee to the queen, he will be tortured for a very long time. That is how power is built.
Ulf is being as ASS!
@@ExaileWalter I wouldn't call that "owing them", maybe being subserviant.
The 10 minute speeches be killing me sometimes 😵💫😅
Aegonbros our time will come...

I genuinely don't see how you think the show doesn't do the Blacks dirty as well
@@drakeross9571 For their characters compared to the books? Yeah, they ruined Rhaenyra. At least she was interesting in the books now she is just bland. However, the only character among the blacks that gets blamed for any wrongdoing is Daemon. Rhaenyes killed her own people, nobody mentions it. Rhaenyra killed 70 bastards who are her own people, nobody mentions it. Aegon kills rat catchers suddenly all the smallfolk and his own family mention it. Almost like the showrunner is trying to tell us something.
I too love all perfect characters in my shows XD
They are doing what I, myself, didn't think they could do. It's almost matching up with Game of Thrones. Would y'all call it better?
she needs to just declare for the greens already 😆
The Gods Eye is right near Harrenhall. So you know what’s gonna go down. A one on one showdown between the two most compelling characters in the series. You already know their name. And the two most vicious dragons in the series 😏.
why are u spoiling shit?
The trailers already teased the spoilers already G. What you should focus on is how good this gonna be on the tv. Helaena already spoiled it.
I can't believe we wasted an entire season on Alicent and Rhaenyra trying to accept that war was inevitable. The shame. The boredom.
They turned Alicent into an idiot this episode, last season she stood between a dragon and her son to protect him. Now she’s willing to let her children, her family and her lover die because of, reasons?
red flag is well chosen for Ulf.
so in the end Otto was right about Rhae having to murder Alicent's children...
Aegon The Realm's Delight !
if Aegon dies, I am dropping the show
So sad we didn't get a battle or super turnt twist. Time to forget this series exists until next season XD. That hair style looks great on you by the way.
Rhaenyra has to kill him there is no good person in war she needs to do it or people will see her as weak and won’t accept and another rebellion will happen 😅 she’s right 🤷🏾♂️
This season was ass they dragged tf outta everything, then to end it with nothing happening
Thank you for acknowledging everyone is to blame in this show!!!
Helena telling the whole story is aaassssss. They should’ve put a spoiler warning

Death in battle is truly the most honorable death. A death worthy of a true ruler.
Cringe episode
The amount of whitewash for main female heroines is beyond belief comparing to book. They were egoistical, cunning and cruel in the original - and because of that much more interesting (of course the final scene was completely fabricated - and was impossible in the original). If GoT had several villainesses or complex heroines - it seems nowadays they lost any will to portray women more realistically.
Who ever wrote this episode needs to be fired

The hypocrisy between both sides is evident but my thing here was that.. it could have been avoided a long time ago with an EYE FOR AN EYE but rhaenyra thought that was too much and wouldn’t allow it and even Alicent cooled down after and said she didn’t want that.
But Rhaenyra is completely cool now with forcing Alicent to choose a SON FOR A SON even though they already killed a damn baby. Both sides suck.
With the difference that it was not the main reason. And the need to kill the king is the primary factor in the destruction.
And it's ridiculous that they still call son for a son, even though they beheaded the little boy in the cradle
@@ExaileWalter my thing is, the king is basically done. It’s Aemond that deserves the axe, 100% because of everything he’s done. That’s the true opposition and he needs to be dealt with.
