My hair was getting dry, frizzy and losing the curl, so today I tried out Olaplex. I first washed it, then added lots of O3 to the hair, let it work for an hour, showered it out and washed it with 04, i squeezed out most of the water so that the hair was damp, and added Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water mask, which I left on for half an hour under a shower cap. Then conditioned with O5 a few minutes, before using a little bit of O6 AS a leave in, nothing Else. The hair is now softer and with more curls than I have had in weeks :-) Definitely something I am going to use every week :-)
Have you clarified your hair before? My hair was dry too once I clarified looked great! Maybe that’s what you needed. I am skeptical of trying bc Olaplex doesn’t meet curly girl method bc of the silicone in the products! What do you think?
@@mlmarcia8060 no 3. Doesn’t have silicones! And it’s really helped my hair. In my opinion, it’s the best from the line anyway, you should give it a go x
Great video! I have used Olaplex #3 every other week for 4 months and I can see a difference. Less frizz and my curls are tighter. I cant explain but my curls are popping...more shrinkage. It's like i got a protein treatment. I have type 4c low porosity. I stretch my hair every week/wash day with heat. So my hair needed this.
I just bought and used #3,4,5 &6. I bought the trail kit for $25 from Sephora. Its a great way to test the products without the commitment of buying the full size bottles.
I think we can ALL agree that its visible how good it did to your hair. 🙌 I've used only the number 3 but now considering buying the 4 and 5!!!! Your hair looks so defined after using these products, even with no leave in or cream 🙌🙌
Also a secret to is you can add about a quarter size of the 3 to the 5 conditioner and steam that way as well. I’m in the Akron area if you ever have any Olaplex questions
I love Olaplex 3! I've been using it periodically for a few years now. I do lightly wash my hair to remove as much of my styling products as possible first and then I saturate my hair with Olaplex 3 and leave it on overnight and do my usual wash and deep condition in the morning. One thing that is important to stress is THIS IS NOT A PROTEIN TREATMENT so it's an apples to oranges comparison to the protein treatments we are already familiar with. I don't do protein treatments immediately following my Olaplex 3 treatment so I definitely use a moisturizing DC instead. I've not been interested in Olaplex 4 - 7 but might try the minis for 4 & 5 available at Sephora for $14 each. I have a friend who swears by 3, 4 and 5 for maintenance as her stylist uses 1 and 2 on her color treated hair.
I would Love to see an update of you still using these products in the near future!💞I got an opalex no 1 treatment at a salon and I noticed my hair has more shrinkage! It does wonders😍
This is the only thing that helped with my breakage and tangled hair. I was so close to getting a relaxer but this saved my 4c thin severely tangled and fragile hair
#3 is only useful while wet...so make sure you put on a plastic cap and I believe the max benefits are only up to 45 minutes....so if you leave it overnight, it won't hurt or help you.
That is not true and the Olaplex website even says #3 is recommended for use on wet hair but it does work on dry hair. I have been using it on my 3b high porosity hair when dry for 3 months, it repaired my frizzy split ends and I no longer need heat or relaxer.
My hair is breaking off and really dry AND my curls are non existent on the top of my head. My strands literally slide right out when I’m detangling, it’s getting so thin and ZERO volume unless its been days of me not touching it(which is NOT cute btw). Would you recommend trying Aztec clay before trying this?
Cetta Johnson go to a salon that offers the no 2 treatment. You need a bond repair. It’s helping my heat damaged curly/coily hair. I am a stylist as well, you won’t regret it!
I've been using no. 3 for the past 4 weeks. I have dense shoulder length color treated hair, low porosity hair. My hair loves it. Less frizziness in the colored portions of my hair. Really detangles my hair prior to washing. I have 1 more use from that tiny bottle.
I bought no.3 for my color damaged hair and it has helped me tremendously. I’m surprised that little bottle lasted so long, I still have more. My hair was so weak, limp, couldn’t retain any moisture, and felt like plastic. My hair did not like that creme of nature box dye, buy Clairol y’all. Went blonde with clairol and my hair felt no different, went brown with creme of nature and my hair felt like matted Barbie hair. Didn’t think a brown dye could turn perfectly healthy virgin hair into tumbleweed.
Haven't seen this before but I would love to try this one because my hair has been in the shedding stages all summer and it needs a little TLC. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I ordered the whole line a few days ago so I’m eager to see what it will do for my hair. No. 0 is now available which I purchased as well. Will you be trying that one too? Great review! Thanks for sharing.
In general I've found that for high end hair products one needs less than you think. There's enough "slip agent" to help it spread easily throughout the length of the hair starting at the root. When shampooing, make sure the warm water has saturated and absorbed into the hair first, then apply about a quarter size of the product at the scalp, then massage to get the lathering. Then work the product down the shaft/length of the hair, distributing it all over the head & hair. I didn't believe in less is best until I consistently did it. High end products tend to lather less because they contain less ingredients that can "strip" one's hair of it's natural oils. Also, use a clarifying shampoo or follow the shampoo with an apple cider vinegar rise to be rid of oils product buildup on the scalp & hair. The product that you use after, like Olaplex will work more efficiently after.🤗😉

Been seeing this in the store, dying to try but that price always stops me lol
What store have u seen it in?
Naturally Nay it’s in Sephora
Mixed Kidd you get what you pay for
Looks sooo good!
it’s better to get an expensive product that treats your hair will than a cheap one that doesn’t
No tea nor shade but Tracee Ellis Ross line should’ve been this good for the price amount 🙈
I still really like the line. I’ve used the shampoo and heavy conditioner 4 times now and just did a wash and go with the leave in serum and wetline 🥰

What does this product do for hair?
Raining Blueflowers it’s does nothing in my opinion I tried 1,2 treatment 5 times not something you will die for

Olaplex 3 is packaged too small
They do a large one now (at least they do in the UK). It costs more, but at least they've given us a choice!
I am going to purchase this after watching your video.

carmeld45 101 So how was your experience with Olaplex?
@@arosa6883 it was wonderful. My hair has more elasticity and shine.
I love your upload, because I was wondering about this product. I want to know in a month time do it make a big difference. Your videos give me life.
Do these need to be used in the order they ae numbered? Cant use the 3 after shampoo amd conditioner??
Mm. From my understanding its meant to be used before. Well thats at least what the directions say and im sure that’s why they are numbered ❤️❤️❤️❤️
3 is not a leave in product, for that you will want 6 and/or 7
Your hair looks good! Trying to decide og I want to try it on my color treated hair
What color are your eyes they are really pretty ??
Hazel
Ended up adding fenugreek powder to my Olaplex shampoo as I don't find it moisturising on my hair. I do like the conditioner tho
