Thanks; I thought maybe I've been mispronouncing it all these years. But my favorite wasn't mentioned; the restaurant next door. I first knew it as Casey's Next Door but called Nick's Kitchen and beach bar these days.. Same food as Gaidos but very different dining experience.
I’ve been to Galveston multiple times and Guidos is the best for fine dining. It’s expensive, but we always make it a tradition to have dinner there. Although it’s a chain, The Rainforest Cafe here has a water ride which is fun :) Papa’s Pizza has really good pizza and wings if that’s your thing. As far as casual seafood, Shrimp n Stuff is really good. Fisherman’s Wharf is a great place if you like watching the cruises depart.
@@traveloooGaidos is fantastic. We live in Oklahoma City. Three weeks ago we made the drive just to eat there. We visit Galveston regularly anyway, but my wife couldnt wait for our next trip so off we went.
Karen, we are so glad you're making it back to Galveston! And more so, we are sort of jealous you'll get to enjoy these places regularly! Best of luck to you in the future and with your move!!
I hope you had a great & safe move!!! I'm headed back to SE Houston in about 5months to visit!!! We are staying in Galveston. I miss my family & the food. Sometimes the food more 😂😂😂🤫🤫🤫.
I'm happy to see Gaidos flourishing. I took mom there in the 90's, I think, and its quality and overall appearance had dropped considerably. Shrimp N Stuff looks like the place I want to visit.
We’ve lived in the area for 40 years. We appreciate the quality of your video and agree with a few on your list. Check out Katie’s Seafood that started out just as a seafood market and opened their own brick and mortar. They provide seafood to some of the top restaurants in Galveston and ship to places all over. They also have one of the best happy hours on the island. Shark Shack on the Strand should’ve also made your list! Another fantastic option for Mexican food is Vida Agave. They have a fantastic tequila list and delicious food! Keep up the good work!
Being a B.O.I,you have to check out some of the little local restaurants that's scattered around the island, try some of the best soul food you'll ever eat 😉
I was excited to try the Stuttgarden since i had been stationed in Germany and wanted to relive those days plus it had amazing reviews. As soon as i stepped in it smelled gross and the place looked filthy . I immediately turned around and walked away. I tried Sunflower cafe and it was good. I was expecting to be blown away due to the reviews and it was good but maybe i didnt order the right plates cuz i was not impressed. I also tried Taquilos and it was good as well. Some places looked like they need to be updated and in need of TLC.
I've eaten at the Spot and the Shrimp was fresh but to much batter and the Onion Rings had the same batter too much , but after a few Bites it all was bland and not that great , I think I would go to the other Sports Bar on this list or Shrimp and Stuff looked like the real deal Catfish , also Guidos more expensive but when I was a kid ate there still best Fried Shrimp I've eaten Butterfly big as your palm .
Fish Tales is NOT what it was before......"Bacon Wrap shrimps" are terrible and "PainKiller Drink" the Bar Tender needs more Training to mix drinks. Disapointed last time we ate there. In addition NOW you have to pay Parking.

Shrimp N Stuff is always a must when I visit Galveston! Such a great place!
My go to place!
I moved from Seattle to Galveston, and this is the best decision of my life!
The Spot sounds really cool in Galveston with so many options. We're going to add it to the list
I'm from Galveston. Gaidos is pronounced GUY-dos.

I'm moving back home in a couple of months. I'm saving this....quite a few places I've never been. Thanks for making this video.

The Grotto. Miller’s for breakfast. Tortuga Mexican kitchen.

I cannot choose! So many delicious options! 😍😍😍
Sunflower is awesome, No. 13 fine dining at its best
No. 13 never fails to amaze. I always take my guests here.
Shrimp and stuff for lunch and Rudy and Pacos for a great evening meal.
The SPOT looks pretty legit, especially the area by the beach. i've never heard of Galveston before this though
Yaga's Cafe looks amazing!!
It's a little overrated. Bennos is good and if you want fantastic seafood Gilhooleys is about 25 minutes away and it's where all the locals go.
This makes me want to eat everything in Galveston!! Texas is a great place to visit
Benno’s: get the Cajun oysters
Agree ! We’ve been going to Galveston for over 30 years and it’s our first stop when we get to the Island!
Don’t forget Gorditas, Millers and Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar.
I lived in Galveston for four years. Those were my regular spots.
Definitely on the to go list now!

How is Fishtails nor on the list? Love that place.

Yummmmmmm!!
Vegan here: the only vegan option at Yaga’s is the quinoa bowl. I learned that the hard way…….
How could this list not have Millers on it.
Funny you think that there wouldn’t be German food in Texas. There’s German settlements and culture in abundance.

Some RUclips travel channels think people visit new places just to eat, ha, ha, ha!
Don't they have Landry's Restaurants there?
Yes, there's one right on the Strand.
Because you can eat laundry's in almost any state, nothing new, too commercial
Yeah.
Tillman Frettida was born in Galveston. He owns the Landrys group with all of its franchises.
@@blisterbill8477 Golden Nuggets casinos as well
All tourists' food. Local go to the best seafood "the Cajun Greek"
If you are going to say a name learn its pronunciation! SAD because gaidos is so much more to the community than, a restaurant!
You are mispronouncing Gaidos. It’s like guydos.
Gaido's is an overpriced tourist trap.
Fish Tales is NOT what it was before......"Bacon Wrap shrimps" are terrible and "PainKiller Drink" the Bar Tender needs more Training to mix drinks. Disapointed last time we ate there. In addition NOW you have to pay Parking.
It's actually pronounced guy-dough
❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉BEEN there for family reunion BEST BEST BEST EVER time with my children and family friends 5 star 🌟 💯🔟🎊🎊♥️👑
Maceo's not on a Galveston Top 10 = ILLEGITIMATE LIST. Delete your video
It's not gay-dos! It's guy-dos.
Galveston is where you send nba losers to "they think they at the beach" "dem dirty 8zz water"
Am I the only one who thinks everything on the list looks disgusting 😂
