I felt bad for Merry. He never even got to play his Blue Eyes. And he lost round 1.
He probably could have a chance by not letting nux build up his fortress, merry had the giant trunade since the begining. By eliminating the bunch of his spell/trap destroyer, he could keep a lot of his trap card that basically became wasted effort by not doing anything.
@@GreenSpyro trunade that early kinda did nothing tho he had very little cards and really unless he could deal 8k in dammage in 1 turn was kind of useless as any good monster goes bye or the trundade activation was useless and that wouldnt have stopped his spell and trap removal merry just played a deck that couldnt play around B very effectively and around nux's pac man strat unfortunate but true

When I saw the big monsters that Zentreya was putting in her deck, I was sad because she would get destroyed without too much of a fight.
And then she proceeded to give the best duel in the tournament.
Zentreya is a damn treasure XD.
I found the duel painfull to watch as it broke more rules than an Anime duel.

@@pyunker11 In Reaper Format (the Format after the more known Goat Format) there was a Rescue Cat deck that used Panda and Ojama Trio. Sadly, it was kinda a meh deck.

Honestly, if YuGiOh was still like this, I wouldn't have stopped judging tournaments in 2019. I do really miss the game, it gave me quite a lot.

@@ColdEmperor Not really, any deck that can FTK is gone, even when I play rogue decks, I can still beat meta decks, every deck has a counter, playing a combo deck? Nibiru, has a towers monster? Kaiju, basically ANY effect? Ash, a banish deck? Lancea or Ghost Belle, a GY focused deck? Skull Meister, it's really not that bad, the latest YCS had a total of 36 different decks, so acting like it's all the same is disingenuous and makes you sound like a yugiboomer, which nobody likes.

However, note Nux's entire deck is nothing but common cards.... nearly all of which aren't even ban. The game just got much faster. Nearly all of today's cards would be the "Chaos Emperor Dragon" of yesteryear .
Honestly DanTDM my childhood favourite RUclipsr and Lor D. Nuxanor my current favourite is honestly the greatest crossover for me.
That being said, There is one more factor.
I am no simp. BUUUT MOIST CRITIKAL is a completely different story. Honestly one of the best crossovers.

As a TCG player, this tourny made me laugh and smile and just shake my head because of the degenerate decks XD good stuff!
When he said he had two judges, I thought "oh, Coder, for sure, but I have no idea who the second is."
Then I learned it was Mr. KEKBald himself, and I broke down into laughter. It does make sense though.
Spoilers:
Secrets of Eternity was released in January 2015. This set introduced the Infernoids, a series of monsters that can Special Summon themselves to the field by banishing other Infernoids from either the hand or graveyard. Notable cards in set include Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, Qliphort Monolith, Uni-Zombie, Nephe Shaddoll Fusion, and a card that would bolster Satellarknight to combat the Burning Abyss Shaddoll meta, Stellarknight Constellar Diamond. In this series, both Nyhmnim and myself will be opening 24 booster packs or 1 box of a core Yu-Gi-Oh! booster set. We will build a deck and play a best 2 out of 3, and the winner will receive a small prize to upgrade their deck. HOWEVER! Each episode, we will open another box of the next set that was released moving in chronological order, constantly upgrading our decks before dueling each other at the end of each episode. This is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Progression Series.

Nux and Brigg's decks remind me of painful childhood memories of dueling my brother. When he played he only used stall decks/cards. Level Limit Area B, Gravekepper's Servant, Wave Motion Cannon, Stealth Bird, Solar Flare Dragon, Chain Energy... Ah so many painful memories in one video. Always nice to see.
My brother did the same thing lol once it was funny cuz we both knew he couldn't win but he kept delaying his defeat 😄😄

My older brother, the few times he played with me, didn't allow monsters sacrifice since it was 'an anime thing, not a real thing'.
He best me so much. The worst part is, that he was the only person that would play with me, so I had to bend the knee, since j was still better than playing alone again.
Looking back, I wonder if he took advantage of my desperation to play with someone. He isn't stupid, i'!m sure he knew the rules, so I wonder if he just used it as an excuse.

I witnessed a character arc between nux and Briggs. Brother, and rivals who've had many battles where nux had the upper hand. Until Briggs went through another Chad formation and decimated nux in a fateful duel.
He threw a major duel monsters tournament and despite not winning, he made it to the finals, flexed, and made history. Lord Nuxanor is the Seto Kaiba of RUclips.
Dan and Zentraya really might be the most clutch match of the tourney.

That's actually a pretty good idea of a video. Only OG cards as well, this is great. I would have definitely tried to go for an exodia deck, even though i know its not great, just for trolls. Great video nux, this made me re enjoy my childhood nerdy yugioh memories. Cant wait for the sequel.
The issue with going for Exodia would be that you'd have to pull all the 5 pieces. They are all Ultra Rares. You only get one in every 12th pack and there is 5 other UR's in the set which aren't Exodia pieces. So the chances of getting the 5 individual pieces specifically in 100 packs are pretty low and even if you get them, you probably won't have many packs left to get stuff from other sets.
I used to have all of Exodia didn't know that it was that rare hahaha 😂😂😂

I love the toxicity of 3 wave motion cannons. I ran 3 wave motions in my level 4 beatdown deck. You never got to summon and you had a limited number of turns to win. That deck won me a few local tournaments.

Ok, credit where credit is due, zen put up a hell of a fight in the first round. The classic combo of witch of the black forest into summoned skull takes me back, but I never would have thought of using hane-hane to bounce and resummon summoned skull to get around paralyzing potion. Super hype play. 🙌

As for the video, the very first play with Nux and Merry where Level Limit - Area B destroyed Berserk Gorilla because of it's effect was such a perfect counter it felt like it was out of the show itself.
Zentraya vs Dan was probably my favorite game overall, though. This was SO cool thank you for doing this!
That was my favorite duel too. So much back and forth, boss monsters got played, and the Fiends Hand Mirror was such an anime move.
The match with DanTDM was so calming they both seemed so relaxed and happy

Really liked seeing everyone playing with their Decks. Iv seen better Decks, but you all didn't have much to work with and considering that Id say you all had fantastic decks that I would love to see and play with! I really hope I get to one day play with all of your decks, especially some of those bigger decks, I love playing with big decks!

Bad decks tend to go on for REALLY long amounts of time, look at the progression series and average set is around 15-20 minutes, while sealed single sets (24 packs of 1 set make a deck) can go upwards of 40-50 minutes
@@casuallydone468 ...tbf, Nux's progression series is averaging low episode times because of them gentleman's agreementing out stuff like fairy box.
Cimo's doesn't do that.
His episodes only max out at what they do because of editing.
The recent paleo mirror was literally something like 2+ hours for the first match.
And those are legit "good" decks, considering both paleo decks were extremely close to competitive tier, and paleo DID see tournament play.

The fact that two people are playing OG version of Mystic Mine decks are insane. And if they played modern YuGiOh Nux would definitely be the person to play Mystic Mine and actually enjoy it.
