There's still people trying to scam others on your channel. I reported it. But, I'm giving you a heads up, I know you only do your give aways in Discord. It seems to happen to me more often than not. That's why I don't like commenting in videos anymore.
I was half expecting during Game 1 for Jen to use Kaiba's dirty "stand on a ledge tactics" and her stand on her chair with high heels. Then Inner Susu be like, "No Pharaoh, she'll break her ankles if you attack for game!"
The duel was fun to watch but i can't get over the cheat that Jen did. At 20:16 she sets her trap reinforcements then enters battle then at 20:55 she uses the reinforcements in the same turn. Even in duelist kingdom that wasn't allowed. You can't use a trap the same turn it is set. Even if you are using anime rules they still follow this rule. The fact that Susu didn't notice this is crazy.
Such a fun duel! It's funny how wild early Yu-Gi-Oh rules were. When I saw the video name I also half expected stuff like "well my Skull Red Bird can fly, so it dodges your Ansatsu!"
I don't think they could attack directly during Duelist Kingdom... I could be wrong but should look into that if you wana do more of these... which I would like to see more of
if these were ACTUAL anime rules, blue-eyes would be considered a flying monster and therefore not be able to fall down a hole to be destroyed by a card like fissure
oh 24:38 in anime rules there are no replays, instead if a monster is summoned in the middle of an attack it automatically becomes the new attack target; likewise if an attack target leaves the field before the attack can hit, the attack simply misses and is essentially negated
These Yugioh duel videos are fun to watch.😄 One rule I would've added to better emulate Duelist Kingdom would be the rule of "No Direct Attacks." I know everyone is saying or thinking something about that one, seems like a key Duelist Kingdom rule for many of us. I'd also consider adopting the "Field Power Bonus" rule in some way. I've thought of a subset of rules to sorta emulate the field power bonus rule within a game, they'd be as follows: - Shuffle 2 of every field spell released in LOB or Magic Ruler (aka Spell Ruler) in a pile, each player chooses one at random. - No field spells can be in the deck. - Each player begins the duel with their chosen field spell active in the field spell zone. - Field spells can't be targeted or flipped face-down. - If a field spell is removed from the field, a new random field spell from the aforementioned pile is chosen at random to be activated in its place, that activation can't be negated, neither player respond to it with card effects, nor will it trigger other cards' effects. - Any field spell removed from the field will not go to the hand, deck, GY, or banished pile. Instead the field spell will be set aside and neither player can access it for the remainder of the duel. - Field spells will not count towards the card count on the field. - For the pool of field spells, I'd favor proxies being used, if needed. Sorry if my comment is super long.😅
There was also a rule if you didn't have a monster on your field, and couldn't summon one by the end of your turn, you automatically lost the duel. I think that would make an interesting alternate wincon to consider incorporating.
Since Susu mentioned forbidden memories in a previous video, you guys could do a differente version of this, same concept, but with forbidden memories rules, by which I mean: - Draw until you have 5 in hand every turn - No tribute summon - You can fuse anything from the hand as long as you can convincingly justify it (like the classic beast + plant = Flower wolf). - Only able to place 1 card on the field each turn, so using a spell means no normal summon (this one would be optional as it impacts the way the game flows a lot more) Then limit the stats that you guys can put in the main deck just to force yourselves to be creative and use the wacky fusions
Theres something about watching you guys duel irl across the table from each other. That alone is so satisfying but the anime rules make this such a fun video to watch! Thank you guys for thr consistent great content!
I remember making "Duelist Kingdom" rules back in high school. We had 2000 LP, no tribute cost, face up defense summons, no direct attacks but if you ended your turn with no monsters on the field you took 500 LP damage. The newer players loved it lol
If you’ve ever seen TGS anime’s channel he does a “rules of” series going over every arc in the anime and the special rules therein. For duelist Kingdom he mentions how “if it makes sense you can do it” as a rule for how Yugi seemed to manipulate the playing field to his advantage. For example the episode against Mako Tsunami, Yugi has his monster attack the moon (??) that’s on the battlefield and because of “physics” it causes the tide to recede and all of Mako’s monsters to be reveal from under water. Even tho Yugi never got rid of Mako’s field spell. Would obviously be difficult to pull of but would be neat to see you guys involve environmental stuff to play with.
I like it much better when you duel with actual cards not as fast as when you duel on master. You can feel the emotion and see it when you duel face to face, not that you can’t normally lol such fun to see
You should make a video based off the rules from the arc where they have deck masters with their weird abilities. Ex: Goddess with the third eye as your deck master and has the ability to fusion summon monsters (still need the required fusion materials) by sending 1 spell card from your hand to the graveyard that way you don't need poly if it's not in your hand. (You can still use Poly but with deck masters ability, you can only use it once per turn).
Loved this! i would like to see a Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories style duel! If you don't know what that is, you can fuse cards together without polymerization. Also you can fuse monsters with equip spells to power them up. Only one monster OR spell/trap can be played per turn (fusion requires multiple cards). Also, monsters that have an attribute that would defeat another attribute power up during battle by 500 for either attack or defense (light beats dark, water beats fire, wind beats earth for example). Only cards from duelist kingdom era can be used for this.
Really fun duel. Here's a wacky challenge, you both get a random type and you can only use monsters of that random type along with any spells/traps which mention that type and nothing else
Can I give you some advice? You are very good and I appreciate you very much. I would just like to tell you that I think master duels are easier to follow because the game board is placed horizontally, and in my opinion you should also place the camera in these duels so that the game board is seen horizontally. It would be fine even if the camera was placed behind one of you (I suppose We don't necessarily have to see the duel from the perspective of both players). However, using simpler cards or explaining their effects, as you have already done, certainly helps to follow the duel. Good work anyways !
Yea generally we stopped doing this way of filming for more meta decks, it is impossible to follow for sure. Thats why we swapped to Master Duel for our more involved videos
You should do a yugioh master wheel. I would like to explain how this works: Each person must Spin a wheel from the tier category to determine which deck you will play, then you build a deck and duel The loser will get to spin from the wheel of staples, allowing them to add powerful staple cards to their deck for each episode of the master wheel. Then who ever wins the master wheel will be the champion That would be an interesting video. And just a reminder that if one player wins the first game of that tier category, both players will play the same tier category but the loser will have access to the staple wheel which will be helpful and so on for each tier and staple wheel My apologies because this would be very difficult but interesting considering the rules
When we play with anime rules we do 1) you can summon anything 2) on a players turn that player must either declare an attack or summon a monster. If you could not do either you lose the game 3) if you have 2 monster's on the field they can combine attack but the damage is negated 4) if you have a set trap or spell it activates the moment condition is meet and 5) anime logic over game text XD
Ahhh the remove trap, and again in duelist kingdom rules was chain link 2 which means the dragon capture jar would he destroyed even before its effects come into place
It would be really cool to see a duel that incorporates speed counters like in 5Ds, where you can build up counters and use them to activate helpful effects throughout the duel.
We opted NOT to use the No Direct Attack and the "If you cant summon a monster you lose" cause for content purposes it didn't make sense to use those rules! Hence the 8,000 life points
Great video, it was very funny 😅 i recomend a duel between Pegasus and Bakura something we've neever seen in the anime. Keep up with your content, you guys are a beautiful couple.
I was hoping the Duelist Kingdom rules also included that the monsters couldn't do direct attacks , but if you or yout opponent couldn't summon a monster in two consecutive turns, that side automatically loses. That's how Pegasus beat Kaiba after using Kaiba's crush card virus to destroy his deck. All Kaiba had left was Saggi the Dark Clown, and when Pegasus destroyed it, Kaiba automatically lost.
Love it. Susu thought a live battle would bring him victory. Some stuff I'm looking to get from you guys has been out of stock. Just waiting for them to be back in stock to buy. Still looking for that boss battle of shining dragon vs darkness dragon and character duel kaiba blue eyes vs chazz armed.
This was a really fun duel for sure! These rules were so chaotic and weird compared to the real TCG, but they were quite simple. Also, I'll insist on you guys doing an advanced format Match, but doing the Magic's Mulligan to try out how it goes!

Each player began the Duel with 2000 Life Points. Neither player was allowed to attack their opponent's Life Points directly. Players could Summon monsters of any Level, without offering Tribute. This meant monsters such as "Dark Magician" and "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" could be Summoned immediately. Certain cards have anime-only special abilities that affect the Field (e.g. "Umi" hides underwater monsters from being seen by the opponent; if attacked, "Full Moon" will increase "Umi's" tide while shrinking amount of land. Fusion Monsters didn't seem to exist as separate cards that the player has within his/her Main Deck ("Flame Swordsman" was actually a Normal Monster in the second series anime, with the dub showing it as a Fusion Monster, because it was Fusion Monster in the TCG). Some Fusion Monsters were capable of being treated as separate monsters for some card effects and attacks, such as "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon". Certain Field Types gave certain monsters bonuses, like the Ocean field for WATER monsters which increased those monsters' ATK and DEF by 30 percent. (This was eventually turned into a real card, Umi, but with a weaker effect.) A Normal Spell Card can be activated during the Battle Phase if it is Set face-down. A Ritual Spell Card did not need to have its corresponding Ritual Monster in the hand in order for it to be activated. When a player won with "Exodia the Forbidden One", a player laid out all 5 cards on the field for the computer system to recognize it as a victory condition. Some cards had alternate names. "Monster Reborn" was referred to as Reborn the Monster for half the arc, and "Yellow Luster Shield" was called Chaos Shield. Additionally, some cards were different types. "Call of the Haunted" and "Negate Attack" were both Spell Cards (with the dub displaying them as Trap Cards to avoid confusion for those playing the TCG). Only one monster was allowed to declare an attack per player per turn. When a monster was destroyed by a card effect, the controller of that card would receive damage equal to half of that monster's ATK points. This is especially noticeable when a monster is destroyed by "Mirror Force". When an attack was redirected by a card like
pretty sure you can attack with more than one monster under Duelist Kindom rules so long as the opponent has multiple attack targets on their field. You just can't make direct attacks is all.

For more silly videos, how about battle city rules; Yugi vs Joey but they both use God cards (Yugi with Slifer, and Joey with Ra). It could be an alternate reality where Joey beat Marik and got Ra.

14:25 what did you do jen, Why do you the second Blue eyes back to the grave? ;D if you two played with DK Rules. you should have 2 blue eyes on the field ;P
if you ever do duelist kingdom rules should use the rules cannot attack life points directly unless card effect plus you have to have a monster on the field before your turn ends or you lose.
My top three matchups I want to see Noah Kaiba (spirits monsters) vs Joey, titan (chess archfiends) vs duke devlin, and gozaboro kaiba (exodia necros) vs Solomon moto (og exodia)

Duelist kingdom rules are wild. Would definitely be curious to see more decks deal with these rules!
We tried newer cards and boy oh boy...was it broken as heck xD
Imagine if they went the extra mile and decided to make up more rules as they went along like Yugi did back in the day.
Can't wait for the summoned skull and makiu mist combo!
I mean imagine Kashtira without needing Birth to normal summon

Yeah finally real cards again. I looooooove your content. My favourite youtube Channel. Hope this keeps growing.
Bringing these back once in a while
I love the duelist kingdom rules and the live dueling but maybe have an on-screen life point counter for each duelist

This was the funniest video, makes my day everytime you upload!
I think you should re-enact the iconic duelist kingdom battles with these rules, for example Yugi vs. Kaiba
20:31 Remove trap doesn't negate though, wouldn't BEWD still end up being switch to defense and not attacking?
Ahhh the remove trap, and again in duelist kingdom rules was chain link 2 which means the dragon capture jar would he destroyed even before its effects come into place

You guys should make this a series! Next you should do Rex vs Joey!
Never understood why you couldn't summon a monster in faceup defense mode , especially in older yugioh.
14:25 what did you do jen, Why do you the second Blue eyes back to the grave? ;D if you two played with DK Rules. you should have 2 blue eyes on the field ;P
Those card sleeves are immaculate!
if you ever do duelist kingdom rules should use the rules cannot attack life points directly unless card effect plus you have to have a monster on the field before your turn ends or you lose.
These lowkey, traditional style duels are the best. 🎉
hm if i remember right in duel kingdom the monster you summon cant attack the turn it was summoned or am i wrong ?
I actually like the damage equal to half the monsters attack when destroyed by card effect. Could punish for overcommitting your field in current meta
I'd like to see the final gauntlet of the tournament with these rules.
Definitely love this duel! Brought back a lot of memories🥲. I would love to see more duels like this with anime rules ❤
My top three matchups I want to see Noah Kaiba (spirits monsters) vs Joey, titan (chess archfiends) vs duke devlin, and gozaboro kaiba (exodia necros) vs Solomon moto (og exodia)
When Susu’s Summoned Skull died, why didn’t he take half the attack damage and only the differential 500??
I would quite like to see use do a rare hunter series ik it's what team aps did but would be great to see use do it. Living the vids ❤
