    • @casualpotato44
      @casualpotato44 Год назад +329

      And we need deck balancing. Whichever mod said these decks were balanced were mad capping.
      Watched these live and had no doubts that it would be a Syk-Moist finals. They knew the game first and foremost and they had the most consistent decks. But even then, Syk had one card plays l, consistent searches, honest Neos hand trap, great boss monsters, and freaking Dark Law.
      Syk deserved the win, no question. Not taking that away from him. But it was served up to him on a silver platter. I just wished it was a more balanced tourney. And that the decks, since they're pre made, were properly vetted.

      @@acepalomino4718 not really. Take a goat format for example. (They really should do a goat format tourney). It levels the playing field and gives more opportunities for longer games. Longer games=more interactions. More (meme/nostalgia) content.
      Fairer and more competitive decks does not mean automatically sweating tryhards.

    • @acepalomino4718
      @acepalomino4718 Год назад +8

      @@casualpotato44 yeah but, you cant even compare goat format to these decks, or any other format really. Goat wouldve been better tho for sure imo due to the simplicity of the game. But what the comment im referring to has nothing to do with balanced decks. Im saying the players skill in the game itself and learning the deck as you go is overrall more entertaining then seeing comp decks go against each other with players who were either trained by actual players or even just getting that extra week to learn the deck. This is similar to draft format, just different in some cases.

    Amazing tournament, I enjoyed this tournament more than any other events. But that elemental hero deck was too broken. Idk who set up the decks for the participants to choose, but they did not do a good job balancing the power differences between the decks.
    For example, the elemental hero deck had a lot of the good fusion monsters, and honest neos which in itself is broken already, and it had cards like Mirror force. And apparently charlie's deck, the red-eyes deck, didn't have a mirror force? Sure, the red-eyes deck is also pretty good, but the difference in advantage is crazy.
    Regardless, great tournament overall, it was very fun to watch!

      I agree 100% that balancing was a problem but you have to realize that Ludwig's mods made the decks and I think it safe to assume most of them just picked cool themes. They can't possibly keep track of years of deck archetypes to balance a one day tournament. P.S Honest Neos and Mirror force was not the problem with E-hero deck it was mostly "Dark Law" banishing everything. If the deck was given every mask hero beside "dark law", the deck would have been more balanced.

      A lot of videos you see also are cherry-picked from matches that went to some extreme, rather than The Ladder Grind of just getting tired of seeing whatever budget meta has formed that doesn't win quick, its just frustrating
