  • In this episode we journey to Arizona to tackle what was a Jeep Badge of Honor trail although it was pulled after we ran it and we did not receive our badge for it. This trail was rated as a difficult trail and it was a lot of fun. The trail at the beginning section has bypasses for all the hard obstacles but after the Gold mine all obstacles are required so be sure you are ready for it. This trail takes you to the town of Crown King and it is a blast, the town is like something out of time so join us on our journey.

Nice video guys. I'm hoping to get out there next week (Sept 23) to run this trail. Any recommendations hitting it for the first time?

When you get to the step after the gold mine I wouldn’t try the bypass just do it. Also everything before the gold mine has bypasses but we hit all the hard lines cause that’s the fun stuff. Don’t miss out on the fudge in crown king they are super nice in the store.

@@GrayLineOverland Thanks. My Jeep is capable enough (35's, 3.5" lift) but no lockers. Trying to find some local FB groups to not run it alone. Appreciate the advice!

I believe so. There are bypasses for most obstacles

Is this the 400th video of CK the trail isn't that great like 3 obstacles out of 33 miles of dirt road I guess the only cool thing is the town at the end. I mostly run the trails near box canyon, Sun flower mine, Martinez canyon, Jack handle, Ajax all good stuff. We used go up CK in August when it's too hot for the jack asses driving their RZR's like you saw much worse seen 25-30 tangled up on the switchbacks. I'm almost done with wheeling all the cool historic stuff closed down burned out, spray painted nothing but shit now too many RZR's. I want get a bush plane move on to aviation. The gold mine yeah they pissed off lot of people the diverted the road into FS land who got pissed closed the trail. The town and AZ off road association worked it out with the FS but still those guys torn up the landscape it looks like crap bunch of junk have up there it's what I would call a low budget gold mine. Not really a fan of junk yard gold mines it's one thing to have low budget these guys are junk hoarders. Why don't the fence the property like most real gold mining business's do. They don't fence it because they don't have any money obvious they aren't finding much gold. My wifes cousins are coming up in August if they want to go up there take a car up the front way.

1st. The gold mine is most likely a claim. They have no rights more then you other then they claimed the mineral. I spend a lot of time in the Bradshaws. The miners have no private property rights. You can camp next to their hole and they cannot tell you to leave. This is also a dirt road trail. Not a real Bradshaw back road trail.
