  • This is my first experiment on my brand new Emeril Lagasse Power AirFryer 360! I kept it simple with a 5 pound eye of round roast and a Cabela's Beef Jerky Kit. To save some time, money and a lot of cleanup just get your butcher to trim the fat off and cut the eye of round roast against the grain into 1/4" slices. Then all you have to do is slice it into uniform strips, put it in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 12 hours and preferably overnight. The Emeril Lagasse Power AirFryer 360 worked perfectly! I usually use one of my smokers but this turned out to perfection in my brand new gadget! Try it for yourself.

    That is a great idea! Our little taste tester is Chloe and she is a chihuahua. I may make some for her. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I make beef jerky and chicken jerky in my Eneril Power 360. Only I don't season mine, as I make it for my two boys, Snowy and Freedom.They are Schnauzer's who love jerky! Cheaper to make myself, then buy the sugar infused treats at the store.

      I felt the same way a couple years ago when I saw this method! The air fryer works great and if I want to make a lot I use my Masterbuilt smoker with multiple racks.

    Love this idea and method. My hubby and I are looking at purchasing a 360 just for jerky making. Love your little dog in the end! Little buddy wants to taste test that jerky..

      You will not be disappointed with this air fryer. It is so easy to use. Be sure to line the drip tray with aluminum foil. If you like asparagus, check out my video for prosciutto wrapped asparagus. You’ll love it! I have found that I can cook so many things on the air fryer setting for 15 minutes at 400 F that I just leave it at that setting. Frozen tater tots, frozen fries, and of course, asparagus. But I was amazed the first time I made jerky! And if I even go in the kitchen you can bet Chloe keeps a close eye on me. She’s our official taste tester. Please subscribe today and tell your friends about my channel too. Thanks for the comment! With the toothpick method you can get so much more jerky done at one time you won’t even believe it! 5 pounds instead of 10 strips!

      @@tamsteak We love ours. I use it all the time. I air fry cook lots of things at 400 degrees for 15 minutes in the basket and don’t even read the cooking directions. Frozen french fries, tater tots, fresh asparagus, fresh green beans, fish sticks. And it is perfect for making beef jerky!

    I'm pretty sure it says Not to line the drip tray with foil. May cause the heating elements to short out... just fyi.

      I better check the manual because I usually do line it with foil to help keep it clean. I’d hate to mess it up because I use that little oven more than just about anything else in the kitchen.

    Great toothpick idea. I grabbed a second fryer rack from my old convection oven and landed 8/10 of a pound. About how much weight do you have hanging there?

    • @southerncyborgcooks4996
      @southerncyborgcooks4996  Год назад

      About two pounds. And if I’m using the MasterBuilt smoker I’ll spread five pounds across three racks. It is so much more efficient than laying a few strips across the rack.

    Sliced it the wrong way !!
    If one has a meat slicer, slice with the grain , I set mine at 3.5.

    How long does the jerky last if vacuumed sealed

    • @southerncyborgcooks4996
      @southerncyborgcooks4996  4 месяца назад

      I’m not sure. I’ve never vacuum sealed any myself. Everyone here loves it and it’s usually gone in just a few days.
