UPDATE!!! As I mentioned in the video, the check engine light came on after a half tank of driving with the error code P0420. I am happy to report that after an additional quarter tank of driving (3/4 tank driving total), the check engine light TURNED OFF all by itself. So it looks like the catalyst efficiency code is related to the Berryman burning off and doing its job!! Happy driving! Help support Kelvin's Garage by using our affiliate links below! As there are 2 O2 sensors, one before catalytic converter and one after, it is possible that cleaning impacted the first sensor. The emissions system will compare before and after to monitor the catalytic converter. 🤓
I use it about once every three to four months, when I know I will go through at least a tank and a half in a day due to my traveling. it is excellent in my twin turbo V6 ecoboost. noticeable gains, everytime.
Oil burning and clogged cats often go hand in hand - the Berryman likely cleaned the carbon deposits but the carbon deposits may have ended up clogging the cat of those broken down deposits as a result. Replacing the cat should fix it with no further problems. I've had an oil burning engine and every 2 years like clockwork would get that same code from the carbon buildup in the cat and especially prevelent with soot emissions on the bumper above the exhaust. But this reiterates the effectiveness of the Berryman B12 in being a powerful solution making the cylinder ring soak leakdown process worth the time and money.
Techron is what Chevron uses in there gasolines. Berrymans has acetone in it and that’s what they put in fingernail polish remover. Do not get it on the vehicles paint
It may be time to run a bottle of Cataclean through it. I’m betting the Berrymans broke down some carbon and pushed it through the engine and the O2 sensor caught it. Now it’s time to clean that cat converter and sensors. I wouldn’t stress over it
It contains MEK(methyl ethyl ketone) and it's a very aggressive chemical and used in plastics industries to melt and join 2 plastic parts together. It will ruin any rubber seals or plastics components in your gas tank or entire fuel system. If you ever have to use this one don't leave this stuff in your tank for an extended period of time. You can put some plastics or rubber seals in B12 and watch it. B12 must melt down some plastics and rubber seals and it went to combustion chamber and eventually it clogged up your catalytic converter. I don't know why a fuel additives using MEK in it. It's dangerous chemicals dude. I work with this MEK and I know what I'm talking about
Yes, you cleaned your engine so good that the tar jam dripped down the pipe and coated the A/F and Oxy sensors. Fill tank and run it at high speed and see after.
Hey sir! 91 octane is premium where you live? Pretty frighteningly bad fuel for Europeans ;) Here we have "super" with 95 octane, "super plus" with 98 octane and then premium with 102 octane. Have a good day!
They use a different measurement for octane in the us and eu so actually 93 octane in the us is equivalent to 98 octane in the eu because they use a different measurement for there octane its ron or research octane number in eu and aki anti knock index in the us
I just opened a bottle of this same b12, it smells alot like fibreglass resin hardener, I use in the oil, just a tiny bit to dissolve varnish, before oil changes. In fuel I've just added valvolene injector cleaner recommended bottle amount, a tiny amount of seafoam, and tomorrow will put just a little b12, should be a nice mix to clean out the injectors.........assuming no horrible reaction between the chemicals.........just experimenting. Thats great the check engine light went out on your car, I'm guessing something to do with the fuel trims changing in response changing amount of fuel being injected, computer got confused.........
If you put 2 oz of this in your oil, it will clean your engine like new. I did this with my Tahoe with 133,000 miles and it feels and looks new inside. When I changed the oil all this black stuff came out. Ewww.
Seemed to help the engine response a bit and it did cause a temporary check engine light so it certainly did "something"! I've used it once in a while without any harmful effects so far.
at 5 mos he sent in a reply to himself saying it worked at removing the chk engine light after a half tank. Voila Look for Kevins Garage reply in column
@@kelvinsgarage I used Lucas in my 2007 Accord, every 3000 miles changed my oil, oil filter, & added Lucas to 2 tanks of fuel back to back until around 120,000 miles. Then I started using B12 in 1 full tank, traded in my Accord with 272,000 miles on it, upper control arm, power steering pump,& maintenance parts is all I ever did to it. Can’t be real bad
Just used 2 bottle in my town car friday on a road trip on a full tank, no problem at all, been using this. Its legit

The ECM could have set it as a stored code, then your light will go off.
Has your cat and/or the O2 sensors ever been replaced. 250k miles is a lot. O2 sensors do wear out.
as this cleaned your pistons, its blew all the crap out the butt, probably your 02 sensors got extremely dirty during blow out butt. lol

This is actually common when you're using an injector cleaner especially if the injectors were dirty.

Vice Grip garage swears by it.
I should mention I'm hoping it might clean out some carbon deposits on the piston too,
who knows?
Check engine light turns on, erase and keep going
Your catalyst system only has to drop 10 percent to get that code.

Does this apply to any motorcycle to clean up the tank and injectors too?
it should work on motorcycles too
Who the heck pulls over when the check engine light comes on?😂

Thank you. You just changed my mind. Was gonna put some in my tank tomorrow
What is an extended period of time?
Adding mek also makes race gas about 110-112 octane with 8 oz in a 12 gal tank my subie loved it but my head gaskets did not
Dude you don't run it at 100%. One can per 15-20 gallons at that rate it is perfectly safe!! 3rd generation mechanic and engine builder.
Gracias Justo lo que estaba buscando.
Thanks for the video. I will try this one. My 2005 Camry has some hesitation when accelerating.
How did it go??
i ran 2 of these back to back an it still didn't unclog my injector what did it was stp high mileage fuel treatment
I'll try it

The code cleared up on its own shortly after. Thanks!

Yes unfortunately in California 91 is the highest. It’s 87, 89, 91 here.
