Seems like an easy mod. Camera unlock mods are often the first mods we see, so making a mod that unlock the camera so that it can be set to 3rd persion seems easy enough. Walking with WASD also seems doable.
@@labradude Why "yuck"? I can't speak for DA:I since i never played it but the way DA:O lets the player easily transition between third person and isometric with the mouse wheel was really good. Even if there was a lot of room for improvement, it certainly beats being stuck with just one camera mode all the time. That was one the few features that DA:O had that i really start missing whenever i replay BG1&2.
That's a weak reason. It you really are interested in the game, then you're gonna buy it. I hated how the movement was in DOS2, but using a controller made it a lot better, but the camera angle still sucked and felt claustrophobic. Even if you zoomed all the way in, it still just showed the ground. In this game, the camera angle is so much better and using a controller, it feels like just any normal 3rd person game when exploring the world. Only the combat is gonna be different.
Larian, if this'll be 3rd person, I'll buy. Come on, Spiders did it (Greedfall), Drakensang did it, heck you did it (Ego Draconis - missed it on 360, I'd get it now but it's not BC, for whatever reason!!!), so I'm certain it's not a matter of skill, it's a matter of your choice, what you want to focus on. See, even with Bioware taking their sweet sweet time I'm still bravely ignoring CRPG on console, and there's been a quite a few, Pillars, Tyranny, Pathfinder, Torment... but I don't do CRPG on console and that's that. My 65 inch tv is made for taking in sprawling vistas, it doesn't agree with top down. And back in the day top down wasn't an artistic choice, case in point Bioware moved on with their design as soon as hardware allowed it. My take is Baldur's Gate needn't be stuck in top down, don't limit your gorgeous art by confining it to top down, high time for new perspectives. P.S. BC for Ego Draconis wouldn't be such a terrible thing, or do Xbox Studios have to buy you out before that happens :P
@@artofgarduno haha, he means a mod that allows you to move the character with the W, A, S and D keys, the keys that you use for move your character in most games.
Wow. I had no idea you could zoom in that far. I'm watching a playthrough where he keeps the camera angle so high. I was wondering if that's the only angle.
I'm brand new to BG3, and I gotta say... the keyboard camera controls made me wanna vomit. I plugged in my xbox controller, and voilà everything feels so much more fluid like a normal game. Aside from the awkwardness of the camera controls, BG3 is so far absolutely amazing! XD
Is the combat top down or can you do in 3rd person as well? I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet cuz not sure I like top down type games..am I missing out?
Well it means it possible. They need to take a page from take two greedy playbook and release the same game but in third or first person view and charge 60/70$ and make more mony. Greed is the only hope for us for this to happen
controlling a character this way is completely cringe and unacceptable in todays world how anyone is okay with this is beyond me. the game has a lot of content because its a very simple style of game its essentially a runescape with better graphics and actual voice acting. and runescape is a dog s*** poc game too.
And to think I was going to waste 60 Euro to get this crap and try it out when there is no actual Third person or WASD, glad I checked out some videos instead of going on with just news of how the game is....Boring ass gameplay too
It's an isometric turn based strategy game with lots of RPG elements. Why did you expect third person perspective or WASD?? It's your fault for expecting something from the game that it didn't even advertise to have to begin with.
@@kishaloyb.7937 People are so dumb nowdays they expect a strategy rpg game to be similar to an action rpg game , in BG3 you can have Third person by zooming and explore that way otherwise you play normally as a strategy game.

Wish it was like Dragon Age, third person with option to toggle the normal view for example combat, if You want to get a Better overview:)
yuck

How cool would it be if they added WASD movement now too for exploration. For combat it could automatically return to tactical camera

With a controller it pretty much plays like dragon age inquisition so I’m cool with it
