One cannot deny that the increased graphical fidelity of the recent games has led to an exponential increase in the consumption desire of the game's food.
All the MH devs just look like they are in love with the game and the world they are creating. Confidence and passion in what you are creating goes such a long way for devs. I'm so happy to be able to support them while they have a fun time making some of the best games in the last decade.
@@Ghost_PM11 My impression is Gravios is like Basarios but better. Albeit, we can't really say what a current gen Gravios battle would be like since it skipped the fifth gen.
@@zerionis hell nah it has been awesome since f2/freedom unite kitchen too, the amount of stuff they pulled with psp graphics was cool , there was shrimp, meat, crab, etc
You can't keep doing this to me. It's bad enough the series is insanely addictive and has robbed me of literally thousands of hours, but the food gets even more pornographic in every installment. Seriously, cooking shows don't make it look this good. The winners on Hell's Kitchen WISH they could make anything that looks that delicious.
I'm hoping that's still a thing too. While there is a Felyne Kitchen in our base in the beta, I hope it's actually functional (in the full game) and not just decoration to make the base feel alive (i.e. we see the NPC's using it but we ourselves can't).
No other game has both such a good quality of visual AND eating scenes in it as this. Visually alone few things even compare, I can really only think of FFXV for doing a good job on how those dishes look, and that’s just cuz they did high quality pictures of real dishes that barely had to move. Then there’s the iconic Yakuza 7 bread eating scene, which is the most impressive cutscene I’ve ever seen of eating bread.
The food in the first open beta looked so good I tried to grill a stalk of lettuce in real life. Unfortunately, I am not a cooking person. I seasoned it poorly slathered it in oil, and it tasted bland, so I'll never try that again. But in Wilds? Delicious.
I can't wait to see Gravios' part breaks in this game, his chest break is still one of the most satisfying breaks in my opinion (brutal too). Since mounting is back in this game (no wyvern riding), I wonder if we can still stab him in his broken chest like 4U did?
Idk they for sure fell off in the 2010's to 2017. When RE7 released, that is what officially marked the time where Capcom finally started building back up to their Capgod status.
@elk3407 I know, but we are talking Capcom as a whole. Capcom isn't really Capcom if it's just MH thriving. RE, DMC, and Street Fighter are also important ones, and they are in amazing places right now. Idk about Mega Man. That might be the one key puzzle piece that is not doing to hot.
I love hearing the devs talk about Monster Hunter. You can feel the love and energy they put into the franchise. It's increasingly rare in the industry these days. I'm so thankful these guys have put so much work into this. We are lucky we get to have it in a sea of garbage game studios and corporate thievery. PLEASE keep giving us such quality MH team. Keep these people safe at all costs 😂.
Amazing attention to detail on things like this is what sets Monster Hunter apart from other games. Glad to see it persist and evolve. CANNOT WAIT for this game!!
Ever since Monster Hunter world. Whenever the game has a meal, I always have to have a snack nearby especially later on an ice born, I was always hungry.
As someone who watched this video like many others, let me inform all of you who's yet to watch this video: Do NOT start watching this if you haven't eaten. You WILL be hungry earlier than usual!
5:10 For a world like Monster Hunter I think their approach towards non-meat ingredients so far had a miss opportunity of making them uniquely different from other games/stories, especially since monsters like elder dragons have the power to shape the environments they’ve reside in. The hunters’ etc digestive system has evolved into being able to consume a ridiculously-huge meal. If they could eat something like a prehistoric-looking herbivore then the same should be applied to non-meat ingredients as well. Like for example, why cook a slice of cabbage when you can cook a half-giant-buttered brussel sprout that looks as wild as a “One Piece”’s devil fruits. The eggs don’t even have to be the exact same color as our world’s existing eggs since it has been proven by a Japanese farmer that the flavor and the appearance can change based on what the birds eat. Don’t limit your imagination base off existing ingredients. Making a dish with fictional ingredients, that is as simple as recreating Gordon Ramsey’s scrambled eggs recipe or a Latin dish that is just as colorful as a parrot, should be enough to not only make a non-meat dishes appealing but also efficient enough for any adventurers to cook with. They could take cooking a step forward and introduce an ingredient most hunters wouldn’t dare to eat. I’m talking about a fictional version of entomophagy. For example, they could turn a football-sized silk worm into a dish that looks just as juicy as the “gotcha roasted pork.” Also, eating something that looks like it came out of a children’s book, such as “Green Eggs and Ham,” would sound interesting and fun.
But are we gonna have to gather new ingredients to unlock more options? Does gathering ingredients and using it right after gathered make it "fresh"? So much questions...
This is the most engaged I've ever been in a video about animated cabbage
