  • In this episode I am going to a nearby park to show you how to use an intervalometer for super long exposure photos. We are talking 1 min to 4 min exposures with a piece of accessory called an intervalometer or a shutter cable release. This piece of gear, allows you to keep the shutter open longer than the camera's max preset of 30 seconds. If you really want to smooth out bodies of water, waterfalls or slow moving clouds, or if you want to get spectacular traffic light trails, then the intervalometer is your answer. Just put your camera in BULB mode, then set your time on the intervalometer and get ready for some smooth shots. They come in different shapes and sizes but they all do the same thing: keep the shutter open for as long as you set them for. Or until the camera battery runs out of juice haha :))
