    It's missing black pepper. Turmeric requires the addition of black pepper in order to facilitate absorption and assimilation in the body. You only need a small amount, but that small amount makes all the difference.

      Believe it or not you don't need the black pepper as much as you think. The black pepper can be dangerous. In fact, I just produced a video with some new science on it. It's an in depth explanation, but in short, PuraThrives Turmeric has fulvic acid and is liposomal so it absorbs :)

    perfect drink👌🏻 your recipes are always super tasty... I would only recommend adding little bit of black pepper... it’s essential when consuming turmeric as it improves its absorption.

    Don't forget to add a dash of black pepper! It also gives the boost of absorption that is equal to the fatty benefits.

    Thomas I have been watching you since November and putting your recipes and lifestyle to practice and I have lost 37lbs! I have 40 lbs to go for my goal.     This is a part of my weekly rotation. Thanks Thomas for sharing this recipe. My wife and I really like the change from bulletproof coffee. It's also a major energy boost. In my opinion it's better than coffee.

    This recipe has helped my arthritic pain , it works , I make my own almond milk as the highly processed commercial and pasteurized from the stores is mostly water with a few almonds and devoid of the nutrients listed and I do use black pepper until I see evidence to the contrary .

    I just made some...so YUMMY! It was like a warm, thinner and different kind of egg nog. I used freshly grated tumeric and whipped it into blender until it got a nice froth. Even my Hubby liked it and he is not big on tumeric at all. Thanks Thomas for the video and info!!!

    Hey Thomas!
    First of all..i wanna say thanks to you for helping me know more about keto
    Second...How to safely out from ketonis or doing what we call "Targeted Keto Diet"
    Here's my problem..
    First, i already do keto for about a month or more..so maybe i already in ketosis mode cuz i realy cut my carb to only +-15gram a day..
    Second, I already have the benefit of keto (endurance training > improve) i can run for about 1k non stop while fasting (18/9) whitout feel muscle fatigue..
    And not craving like crazy person who think life just like this "eat,life,sleep"
    Third..I have better mood in the morning and sharp mind sometimes..and also it reduce my stress level :) thanks for all keto benefit!
    Okay now lets go to the problem itself..
    First...i'm 14 years old male 162-163cm, 44-45 kg..active level > school student level+running couple of gang for 5 times (per day)(not to far)+lot of training/exercise (every other day/sometimes straight days)+on saturday and sunday i trained twice a day+ and i wanna lose a little bit of body fat just a little (note= maybe i have anorexia probelm :( plus in keto it make me more afraid to eat food (sometimes i prefer dont eat if my parent leave home) ..
    Second...I'm not a endurance type of people, i hate slowness..what i like is intense,burst,hardcore,extreme, and push to the limit...not slow :v
    Third: being that type of people meant i only love and energic while doing HIIT type of training...i already not training for 3 day straight cuz i feel weak/not interested/not energized when doing hiit T.T
    ..i wanna do workout like it was before, but i hate that slowness(endurance) that make me cant do any exercise T T
    Fourth: And my serious problem is, i'm not happy person like i was before, yes keto give me better mood, energy balance, and less stress..but now i realy realy lack of motivation( i dont know what's my hobby is or cartoon that i like to watch..for ex:when i doing carb up day (just in my normal intake/i'm carb up whit my carb is in the normal/moderate % for my calorie intake, i workout and feel i'm happy man in the world and always energized for doing somethings T.T)
    Fifth: I think I will not going keto cuz i can't say to my parent to bought lot of meat just for me :v
    Special Question: can i/my body do what it call " Use carb fuel when doing HIIT/intense workout, and use fat fuel when you're not training" 😂
    Any advice is accepted :)

    I have done this for the last year from time to time . I love it !! The one thing I do differently is I add 1/2 cup coffee 1/2 almond milk and a splash of heavy whipping cream. Mmmmmm
    I think I’ll make one up now☝️

    I literally stopped the video grabbed my vitamix and made this..I added cardamom and cayenne pepper and used the turmeric root..... It was soooo delicious and amazing. I am low carb high fat so I didn't use much honey

    I REALLY wanted this shake to come out good, mainly from being on an IF regimen and other DeLauer videos.
    Then I took my first sip. And then I added an entire lemon to see if it would nullify the taste. Nope.
    As an alternative, I chopped up the soles of some old sneakers, added some topsoil and a pinch of curry. It actually tasted better.

    I was just about to buy organic leaf stevia. I have organic honey, I have coconut oil, Milk, Turmeric, an entire young coconut and I'm trying to learn the cellular reactions also I've also been trying to learn bacteria balance in my stomach. I don't know about buying probiotics. I'm trying to prevent ailments. This video was helpful. I'm also trying to showcase in a body show and have an organic clean flex.

    I add 1/8 - 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or black pepper. I understand you need a heated spice like pepper to get the full benefit from Turmeric. True or False?

    Hello Thomas, LOVE your videos. I started intermittent fasting in July. And I love it, it really has changed so many health issues for me. Thank you sooo much. You really are a life changer. My question is, I drink a lot of lemon water during my fasting period with ACV. Am I kicking myself out of ketosis with this holy grail practice of mine? I don't use any sweetner at all.

    I do really believed on turmeric! I have been using it since 2013 after my full abdominal hysterectomy and it really helped me so well until now. Some women had hysterectomy for years that i know of they are still struggling it. After almost 3 weeks on my surgery I went back to workout but I started on pelvis til I can get back on Insanity. By the way where do you get your liquid turmeric? I only have a powder.

    You are an incredible presenter, very informative and on-point. Can you say something about the AHA recommendations against consumption of coconut oil for people with high cholesterol? Coconut oil is very high in saturated fat, but i'm a bit confused how this does or does not correlate to high cholesterol. Thanks so much for all of your videos!

    Thank you for this info. Love uour tutorials. I've made iced tea, added heavy whipping cream & cinnamon, plus truvía for sweetener. It's delicious. Does cinnamon provide any health benefits? ( I'm not a coffee drinker).

    If you want to make the curcumin in turmeric 15-20 times more bioactive, take it with freshly ground black pepper.
    ..adds a nice kick too.

    I do a bulletproof recipe with roasted cocoa beans (ground) and I use my French press to make it a hot drink. I add stevia drops, coconut oil and cinnamon. I blend it to creamy delicious protection! All that other stuff can me added too minus the milk. It’s way creamier with out the milk.

    I'm trying to lower my dairy intake while doing keto because my cholesterol is high, so I'd love a bulletproof coffee without butter, is almond milk really suitable for bulletproof coffee? Or would this golden milk affect your intermittent fast more than a regular BPC with mct oil, butter and coffee? Thanks

    There's data showing that turmeric needs to be heated with the fat to be bio available to the body, otherwise you're only assimilating about 20% at the most (if I remember correctly..). Also heard that black pepper helps the body absorb it as well.
    So basically heat turmeric, pepper, almond mild and coconut oil and simmer for about 10 mins.

    Hi Thomas! I've learned so much fro you! Thanks. Curious, why don't you comment on Ceylon cinnamon vs Asian variety (not as healthy in large doses)? And what about consuming black pepper (peperine) w turmeric? Doesn't the pepperine increase bioavailability of curcumin by something like 2000%? Can you weigh in please? I've been drinking your golden shake recipe for months now and I love it! I've lost 30 lbs since June intermittent fasting and keto! (I'm 52 w a serious six pack now!) You've taught me so much. Please keep the vids coming!

    You have to use cinnamon verum or aromatica not cassia to get the health benefits.

    So I know there are videos on what to eat before or after a workout, but what about in between workout. Like for example I walk 10 miles on some days, but I need to stop for food half way through. What is best to eat during that timeframe to maximize that workout?
