Thank you so much for sharing this. I want to make a baby size version of this quilt and finally decided to do a sample block because nowhere could I find the size of this block. You have saved me so much time. Thank you so so much. ❤

I use 4.5 inch squares with 2.5 inch x 4.5 inch rectangles, Blue Wren dies has an awesome die that has 9 rectangles on the die so it's very fast to cut the side rectangles for the entire quilt. They also have a 2.5 x 6.5 inch rectangle die that I use to cut the rectangles for the outside pieces of the block. I've made three quilts using this pattern and love it. Thank you for the calculator!

Good Mornin Carol😊 Ialways enjoy your teachings, thank you for sharing so wonderfully and thoroughly. Boy oh boy, the trick is the details. Pay afterthought to those and sure gets easier☺
I was wondering ... my aunt n uncle are about to celebrate their 50th anniversary🎉 if love to make them a quilt. I'll have to quilt out on my domestic lol but that's perfectly OK they deserve it. So my question... what pattern(s) would you consider for this. I your maybe a friendship star.. I'm not sure. I don't have time for a really intricate or time consuming block. I'm about to have a very big surgery. Thusly I won't have time to fiddle around. But I want a quilt with meaning of possible. Lol I thought what about an Applique custom design. YES!😮NO NO LOL NO TIME for that😂. Anyway I thought you'd be a great one to seek a lil input from. You mane so many lovely blocks and quilts. Respectfully
    Hugs and Bless'ns Kathleen
And thank you for any reply. And by the way I totally understand if you don't have time for thoughts on this.. no prob at all🤗

Oh Kathleen that's a tough one! Most often when I'm making a quilt for a specific person, I don't give much thought to the meaning of the quilt blocks. The meaning, to me, is in the gifting of the quilt. In your case, you have time and physical factors to consider. Look for a quilt that's fast and easy to make. Choose fabrics that remind you of your aunt and uncle.Don't make the quilt too large. Something around 60 x 80 which is my go-to size. I call it "couch" size. Here are some ideas:
If you have a panel, put borders around it - ruclips.net/video/QZfeOeRvTgc/видео.htmlsi=EiurniNcZ0pM-8IH
A really quick and easy one that looks striking- ruclips.net/video/ajQPG6T21nw/видео.htmlsi=3TiWJ42Srp_l-bBR
Good luck with your project and I hope you have a quick recovery! Thanks for watching.
