Thanks for making these videos - so few reviewers ever comment on headlight performance. These kia and hyundai reflector based led headlights are terrible. They always lack width and intensity. It's like Kia/hyundai just want to check a box that says "we got led headlights!" and they present this garbage. Led headlights, projector or reflector, are a huge step backwards. HID bulbs and ballasts could be replaced cheaply - led headlights require the entire thing to be replaced. They are an expensive inconvenience down the line, despite the BS claim "leds never die". They do. They get dimmer.
Great video on an awesome channel! Improved LED projector headlights, brighter LED taillights, turn signals, and LED driving lights are standard on the Sportage higher trim levels, with auto-dim to take the bother out of blinding oncoming traffic. You gotta pay to play. The upgrades noticeably better. I especially like that the high beam lighting is added to the low beams which remain on in conjunction, instead of alternating between the two.
@@chadhaire1711 The LED projectors received the highest safety rating rating. I noticed mine are lots brighter than the standard headlights, so I had hoped that was the cause of dissatisfaction. Keep up the great work.
@@chadhaire1711of course you can. There are adjustment screws for both of the headlamps. Very often on the new cars they are not adjusted properly in the factory which is a shame. On my Touareg III I had to adjust the left one only because it pointed the sky. My VW Taigo came both dipped more than it should.
@@chadhaire1711 That’s not how owner manuals tell you to aim your lights though. They tell you to aim both your lights a couple of inches lower than the height from the middle of your headlights to the ground while being 25 feet away on a flat surface.
I can see we are dealing with someone who is not the brightest bulb in the lamp........shame...did not occur to you that most people who put on the emergency light flashers are not driving but parked on the side of the road. Sit down and think about for for a while--you will get it--eventually.!!!!!!!!!!!
i agree....low beams suck...going to adjust them...my hybrid (according to computer) gets just over 40mpg...so happy with that
5:32 So glad that no one flashed you! 🤣

well I only keep a car for a week........so I dont worry about bulb life! We will see how the bulbs work on the genesis G90 I have now
Ive got a Kia sorento 2014, non reflective, and they are great. Low beams are great and HI beams are phenomenal with great side lighting.

Can the headlight bulbs be changed out to a higher lumins?
you would have to ask the dealer
Or can you adjust the low beam and point them up more?
nothing in the owners book about that---but I am sure there must be a way

Which are you review: Reflector or projector???
says LED
@@chadhaire1711 Right. Reflector or projector LED?
I have the same car and they are ok...
is your windshield window tinted?
dont know, its long gone
Your left headlight seems a lot lower than the right. Must be a way to adjust it.
That is the way it is supposed to be ---- high on the right to see road signs--left lower so dont blind oncoming drivers. but not all cars do this

"Head lights off, much better." LOL. Yeah who drives with their head lights off at night? Sheesh. lol

Oh my god they Are Abysmal! Probably one of the worst I’ve seen! The headlights on my mini are like looking at the sun .
The low beams are atrocious. I do a lot of night time driving so this is out for me. Shame, i really liked the vehicle.
Guess you didn't see the other video with the poor fuel economy.....far bigger problem than the headlights......too bad I like Kia as a rule
