Paul, just refund your highest tier skill. Then place that one in the new core skill you want. Now that you have enough points to unlock the next tier +1, you can just refund out the one you don't want anymore. You never have to fully reset for anything, unless you want to change a lot
"I don't know how many times I can fight goat mans and still have that be interesting" You've been killing Hives for 10 years now, I think you'll manage lol
That was one thing on my wish list moving forward. More monster families and Bosses. I have a strong feeling come July for Season 1 we will see just that (and more)
I didn’t play any of the Diablo games before this beta. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure what kind of game this was. When I started the first beta I thought there’s no way I’m going to play this game. Tiny characters where I’m looking down at them? I can’t play this. But I kept going and about 8 straight hours later, realized that I really liked it. I am pretty excited for Thursday.
12:57 You can just refund some points from the end of the tree, allocate the new skill you want at the top, refund the other skill at the top and than putting the points back at the end of the tree.
I really enjoyed your written review, I didn't have D4 on my radar very much until I started seeing gameplay and some of your initial thoughts on it. Now I'm stoked
This is my first Diablo game and I am actually really enjoying it. I never really played “top down” kinda games but I always enjoyed putting together builds and watching hordes of enemies fall (warframe and destiny player here) and I can assure you it is very satisfying to cut down hordes of enemies in this game. Also I just love the heaven vs hell vibe and the dark, violent tone
Was really excited for this one, but I swore I'm not giving ABK another dollar until upper management changes hands after the OW2 PvE fiasco. Gonna be all the more difficult with how good this looks, but I'm gonna stick to my guns.
Great review. I knew from the beta it was gonna be a good one. Praying the monetization doesn't mangle it too badly! Hopefully Blizzard values their reputation enough on this one to show some restraint.
I'm genuinely shocked, I was fully anticipating another anticonsumer flop. I'm still holding my breath though, wouldn't be the first game to ruin things post launch.
If you genuinely felt like Necro was cheating, was Necro buffed from how awful it felt in the Server Slam? I had so much fun in the Beta, but then the Server Slam sucked all the fun out.
Appreciate the review Paul👍👍. Question is will it cut into your Destiny playing time?? Enjoy the gaming all. Peace ✌️ while killing all the demons and monsters lol.
To change a core skill you just have to remove 1 skill from late in the tree, put that point in the new core skill, then transfer the core skill points over 1 by 1. A pain, but probably cheaper
@@paul_tassi I get what he’s saying but it’s still kinda dumb that you gotta work around it like that, I think refunding skill points should just be free
Glad to enjoy your pov Paul! In which platform did you play your "press release" time? I'm torn between PC or PS5 just because i can game share with my brother, but don't know yet.
Was waiting for a Tassi review. IGN and the likes can be a bit misleading, but Tassi craps and praises on Destiny enough for me to trust his reviews. I hope they bring back Paladin or OG Amazon later on though.
D4 brings what D2 and D3 did well with legendaries by splitting them into two groups. Weaker legendary and stronger uniques. The weaker and more frequent legendary drops allow you to create more builds, faster, and better iterate on different ideas. This is were D3 shined in it's gear system. The uniques are those truly hard to find items that were really exciting and build defining, which is what D2 did well. The benefit of not allowing free respecing is to stop having encounter specific builds. You should have a balanced build that can do everything. Not build fully concentrated to one enemy type, or hell tides, or world bosses, and freely swap between them. Loadouts are a design band-aid for having a lack of balance in builds that can tackle all content.
I've never played a Diablo game but am strongly considering jumping in with D4. My only concern is that I have to have a "squad" to really capitalize on everything this game has to offer. As a solo player, would I need to make friends in order to enjoy this?
tbh i only want to know the story n lore, but not interest in the end game lol Destiny 2 prob first priority for me atm then move to other game when done everything for the season
Story is actually why i originally loved diablo, ive enjoyed the books and lore in general. D3 was such an odd left turn that i didnt have much hope for 4. Looks like the reviews are positive about the story so im all in.
I mean, the horse would equivalent to the sparrow in Destiny, no? Until recently sparrows served no purpose. Also, complaints about enemy variety when you’re still fighting different colored cabal in Destiny 7 years later? Gotta try harder man.
Hahaha if my husband convinces me to play Diablo I’ll make a necromancer and call it a warlock. I am a warlock main in destiny 2. It’ll drive him nuts.
mhm, i can't disagree more with every point you made. Do you want a bird brain game? You literally want WoW/Destiny game but D4, Seasons has been a thing for a long time and the way forward or else you would get bored with the same dungeon farming...
I dont care how good it is. It's automatically a 0/10 for me. Its ridiculous that a full price $70 game has a cash shop, battle pass, and is littered with micro transactions.
It would be nice but that won't happen even in the slightest. Pvp alone will keep Bungie from ever needing to feel the pressure of Diablo because Diablo doesn't offer anything close to that. Bungie's FOMO shooter looter model is what keeps us coming back like junkies. Even if we take a few months off for Diablo, most will be back once Diablo's end game winds down. I can't wait to dig into Diablo but I know I'll either be playing Diablo in tandem with Destiny or I will play till endgame than bounce back to Destiny for the majority of my time.
@@seffers4788 it does. Diablo and Destiny fit into the live-service action looter genre, there is no doubt that these player populations will be shared in some extent, which will affect Destiny 2 population. I am curious to see what the steam charts will be for Destiny 2 the first week Diablo 4 comes out and see how the population fluctuates. Then obviously over time we will see if players come back. The games have a different feel (FPS vs top down 3rd person), but the business model behind them are the same
@@supersizesenpai yeah this has been my issue. I’m always coming back to Destiny and I feel it’s mostly due to falling under a sunk cost fallacy at this point. 9 years of playing Destiny 1 and 2, it can be hard to try and leave this franchise behind unfinished after devoting 1/3 or 1/4 of your life to. Bungie is going the route of “creating the issue” (Destiny 2 PVP) and “selling the solution” (Marathon announcement) for their PvP and unfortunately it’s hard for other developers and companies to replicate the Destiny/Halo feel
@@seffers4788 I think you failed to understand what he was saying. He hoped that Diablo was so popular that Bungie would see a significant enough loss in its player base that Bungie would start working hardrt on their content. Bungie not having any competition allows them to put in less effort in certain areas or at the very least be less attentive to player base issues. This is the same issue with Facebook. With no real competition Facebook can leave everything to algorithms which leads to users having problems that can't be solved without content with an actual person. For example: being unnecessarily bans due to overly strict community rules. I post a pick of a fully dress anime girl and I'm banned because the algorithm see it as porn and its totally random. If Facebook had real competition, the runners of the platform would need to work harder to keep people from leaving like they did with Myspace.
The only problem with the "I don't think they'll pull any weird microtransactions" thing is that they're not releasing the game with them all. They did the same thing with Diablo Immortal.

I definitely hope Paladin or OG Amazon come back...Rogue just doesn't play like Zon did beyond firing arrows.
I was excited until i actually played it. idk how people say its good. the gameplay is weird, the narrative is horrible undoing D2/D3 events.
Man if only you could see the cool animated intro I pretended that you had for this video
The only question that really matters: Does the horse have purchasable cosmetic armor?
Yes
6 Acts, wow! Speaking of bosses, do we get Izual for the third time? We all know about the Butcher.

sf getting a score that good is hilarious those games died after 4 its a solid 10 out of 100
