Unsalted butter 無鹽奶油 110g / 1/2cup
Caster sugar 细砂糖 80g / 1/3cup
Whole egg 全蛋 2(55g+- per egg)
Vanilla extract 香草精 1/2tsp
Cake flour 低筋面粉 120g / 12Tbsp
Sea salt 海鹽 1/4tsp
Baking powder 泡打粉 1/2tsp
Apple 蘋果 2
Granulated sugar 粗砂糖 1-2Tbsp
Pan Size 圆模 19cm
Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 40-45 minutes

I just baked this using 1/4 almond flour and scattered almonds sliver on top before baking. It was totally delicious! I baked for 35mins as the sides were getting abit burnt.

Thanks for this recipe. The crunch of the crisp top and the sugar is amazing. Taste divine. I added cinnamon and would add raisins too if l have some. Sprinkled some lemon juice over the cut apples to prevent apple from browning. I work very slowly so better protect my apples. Mine came out from the oven after 30 mins, at 170°C fan force. Thoroughly enjoy baking this! Thanks!

@@tben9031 hi, cinnamon added with cake flour, salt and baking powder mixture, stir to mix before it's added to wet ingredients.

@@rosaliepetralia6903 Hi Rosalie. Up above where it says to "Buy Apron merchandise", right above the tote and shirt, it says "SHOW MORE." Click on the show more, and all of the measurements are there and easily read. I hope that helps. I used regular sugar, not caster and I used all-purpose flour as I didn't have any cake flour. It wasn't as high as the cake in this video, but it was still delicious. I will want to see if I can't find cake flour so I can try it that way. I put cinnamon sugar on top of mine. It's really a personal preference. I also used salted butter as that's all I had, so I didn't put in the salt recommended in the recipe.
thanks a ton. I made this cake with all purpose and wheat flour mixed. one apple cut and other one grinded puree. turned out yummy. the sugar caramelized on top and apple pieces in chunks and a wonderful brown colour.

Apron, I baked this cake and it's so delicious. Just that I don't have unsalted butter so I use salted butter & omit the sea salt. The cake still turn out so yummy, love your recipe so much. Next I'm going to try out your coconut butter cake.

This recipe is really good! My grandma approves hahaha
I've made this cake with 1 apple and cooked chestnuts using an 18cm sized pan. After baking it 45 min the cake was still raw in the middle. I had to bake it 55 min in total. Next time I'd recommend using bit harder and sour apples cuz mine were already soft and sweet on their own, so the cake turned out a little bland, only sweet taste.

I have made this delicious cake 3 times, my favourite! HOWEVER: is there an ingredient missing on the list? The batter becomes so thick that it’s impossible to mix in the apples, I had to add milk to make it manageable, help please! Thank you
I think the measurement for the butter is not correct. His measurements indicate one stick is used. I tried with one stick and 1/2 stick. Seemed creamier and the apples folded in nicely.
