For soo long i listened to this and now i finally came up with a theory about what this is all about,i'll write it down here since its something i don't see many people talking about. The 1st half: "Here the goddess of happiness cries,an endless, timeless lullaby." A goddess of happiness crying, her cries seems to translate in the form of a lullaby. "Sings the songs of the dreams she has,the sadness fills her eyes." For her to feel such sadness from dreams these may as well be actually nightmares. "End of love, love is gone." Something ended her love for someone causing her to be in this state. "No more dreams to dream about so life is done." She is saying she should die since she can't dream about actual dreams anymore. "If it so,cut the thread, its time to let it go." A part of her knows she should be gone however another part of her strugles to let go of life. The 2nd Half: "Tears they flow to the thirst of the gods." Sugest some sort of "divine punishment" on humanity, somehow they angered or betrayed the gods and now they thrist for revange or blood "The oceans roars drowned by rain." Represents the state of the earth and human civilization, its pure chaos, the only thing obstructing the screams of some are the louder screaming of the many,a tempest louder than a tempest as the lyrics seens to point out. "Blameless wolf carries on alone, the silence now surrounds him." A wolf that has nothing to do with the whole chaos walking alone, the silence surrounding him seens to show how lonely he is,since its now sillent punishement was dealt to humanity and he is the only thing left alive. "Sooner than, dreaming ends, morning of the dawn will bring another day." Soo it seens it was all a dream? From who tho?The goddess? The wolf? Some other god?Regardless of who this part sugest the coming of another day and thats what matters,no matter what one may dream about the coming of the next day,the future,is forever meant to be there. "Turn around, you have found,a different place to dream." No matter where you are, where you go or what you go through one day you will dream again,it suggests nightmares will stop and a dream will take their places,it insinuetes theres always hope, all you must do is keep on walking and you will turn your life around. So,whats this all about? It feels like the goddess may be Lisa A.K.A Alucard's mom, maybe this was the last time she sang a lullaby for Alucard to sleep and she sang about the future, she knew of her execution and was afraid of letting go of her life (as the end of the first half suggests) but she also knew what would happen to Dracula if she was gone,"end of love, love is gone." represents Dracula losing his love for humanity the moment they took Lisa away from him, from there onward Dracula couldn't dream anymore, his life had no meaning but a single one that starts the second half."Tears they flow to the thirst of the gods." is Dracula granting humanity the pain and misery he felt without Lisa, the tears and blood of humanity were the only thing that could satiate his thirst for vengance yet it never stopped, the only thing that came after a storm was another, more violent, more ruthless (the oceans roars drowned by rain). After the end of it all we have Alucard now left alone, his mother is gone and his dad pretty much gone as well,he helped Trevor and Sylpha but he knew the moment he awakened again everything he knew would be gone,he was destined to forever carry the weight of his dad's actions and roam alone for all eternity since he is imortal,in the end however Lisa wants him to know there is a future for him out there,as long as he keep moving foward he will find a reason to live (sooner than, dreaming ends, morning of the dawn will bring another day, turn around, you have found,a different place to dream) In general its Lisa talking about herself and about the future that would befall Dracula and Alucard, she predicted it all, turned it in a lullaby and sang it for Alucard, why?Well in game i believe this song is but a part of Alucard's memory, now,if this is HIS memory why can the Fairy sing it?Well who knows? Why the Fairy sings it is obvious, can't imagine the devil, ghost, bad or sword familiars singing this at all,now about how it came to be a relic maybe its because everything within the castle walls are tied to Dracula himself so perhaps he once listened to the song himself and it materialized as a "relic"?If you can find body parts of him why can't you find a memory?Maybe like the Succubus Fairies can also tap on the mind of other beings and dig out memories, there she learned of the song and decided to sing for Alucard when he was taking a break? The explanation is all over the place but the lyrics of the song itself clearly talks about something very personal about Alucard and more people,in any case this is what i think.
@Ice Bear i have a theory that dracula saved or captured the fairy sisters the older one the blue one stayed in the service of the family in general and the younger one the green one gave to lisa and when she sang to alucard the green fairy was there.

From the many hours I have put into trying to understand the meaning from the lyrics, I think that many interpretations can be made about what the lullaby actually entails. For one, there is always the literal interpretation but I think that because this is Castlevania, the song is strongly related to the story. One first instance, I think that the lullaby is actually being sung by the fairy to Alucard; hence why she sings it while he is asleep and not as an easter egg. I think that there is meaning behind this sequence. One idea that I had is that the familiars are somehow connected to Alucard prior to his quest in the game. I like to think that some are a gifts from his father and others from his mother during his childhood for protection and the like. Not only could the fairy familiar be part of his infancy but also a gift from his mother. But what I am trying to get at is that the song is actually about Dracula and Alucard's mother Lisa. The way the song keeps referencing the cries of a goddess, or a woman and how a "him" reacts upon these sorrows. The song refers to the goddess as that of happiness, e.g. the woman who has given joy back to Dracula. The part that makes me believe it is also referencing Dracula is when it states "the blameless wolf all alone" and " the silence now surrounds him." This can be easily interpreted as this him being sad for the cries of the goddess but I think it is Dracula for how depressed and alone he feels after the death of his wife Lisa. Let us remember that a wolf is one of the many forms Dracula can take and the death of Lisa was the catalyst for his rebellion against G-d and for bringing chaos upon humanity as he blamed humans for killing her. I think that the fairy was one of the witnesses to the whole ordeal when these happened, that is why she sings about it and to Alucard of all others. But I think that there are some things that I would like to know if other could help me with. There is a mention in the lyrics of the cries quenching the thirst of the gods. This makes me believe that the death of Lisa was planned by a higher power. Could it be the Time Reaper, Galamoth trying to usurp Dracula's throne or maybe St. Germane concocting his own plans? I also have to address that the song also states that what causes the goddess to cry is in actuality the dreams she has, or in other words, a premonition of the things to come. Lisa was accused of being a witch, and there is some hints that she could have been an avid human healer which I think could suggest that she has supernatural abilities. So far, there have been no other cases of healers like the Belnades clan of possessing such power like divination or having premonitions but I think that maybe Lisa could be a unique kind of person who does have the power. Maybe she saw what would happen in the end, Dracula waging war against humanity and his son fighting against him. Another way to interpret the song is that maybe the man being referred in the lyrics could be Alucard himself. He too can change into a wolf and maybe he is the one showing sorrow in the song. I think that if it where him being referred in the song, it might mean that when his mother died; he truly felt a hole in his core being. The person who cared for him was gone and loosing a parent is definitely horrible so it is understandable that the feelings of the wolf of the song could be those of Alucard. And this could mean that when she died, he lost a part of himself. Maybe his emotional side, hence why he is always portrayed as an stoic and expressionless being.
***** Very true, I forgot about that track. There are many things that one can interpret from the things that lie below the surface level of the entire series' story and secrets.
Considering that LoI came after the completion of SotN, it is very unlikely that story details have been planned out from the beginning. Nevertheless, it is clear that the only woman who could have died in SotN was Alucard's mother and no one else.

My main reason of choosing the Faerie companion. Second reason is Items, because 13-years old me wasn't the fastest tool in the gaming shed. I love this song
I first learned about this song from an online fanfiction called "Ranma Club". It's a crossover between Ranma 1/2 and Winx Club, which most people would expect to be pure crack, but it's actually, amazing. Musa sings this song during a festival and, honestly, I think it's beautiful.
@dragonnutds The nature of the song itself. When you get this familiar, Alucard's response to his father's presence was to go into a deep sleep that he's been in for well over a hundred years. Realistically speaking, there was nothing stopping his father from finding him at any time if he wanted to. So Dracula appears to respect his son's desire to just sleep. Yet instead, this song hints literally to the game ending. With Al taking the suggestion and leaving his homeland instead.
Please no.Netflix just will ruined it the same way they raped Alucard. They do nit understand the essence of this games.First season was okey but second season was awful.
I absolutely love the line "No more dreams to dream about to life is done" --- However, I made it my Facebook status about 6-7 years ago, and a surprising number of people saw it as something of a precursor to a suicide note.... (No I'm not joking)

I think this song is about lisa and dracula love story like when they refer to lisa as goddess of happiness and dracula as a blameless wolf
omggg im so glad i found this, this is REALLY beautifu, i could listen all day
My main reason of choosing the Faerie companion.
This puts me to sleep, in a good way of course.
I love this song so much. Everything about it is perfect.

Hope to hear this in the new series
Beautiful was after an English version everywhere. Many thanks for uploading
I love both versions
this needs to be in castlevania netflix season 3.
I just saw season 3. And after all the bullshit that Alucard went through, he deserved to hear this song to sleep for at least 500 years
@@kamy846 aw
Please no.Netflix just will ruined it the same way they raped Alucard. They do nit understand the essence of this games.First season was okey but second season was awful.
@@striderhiryu2 what those two did to poor innocent alucard was disgusting. I hate humans.
Castlevania Netflix is at Castlevania III Dracula's Curse and Symphony of the night is 300 years later.
I still love this song
I absolutely love the line "No more dreams to dream about to life is done" --- However, I made it my Facebook status about 6-7 years ago, and a surprising number of people saw it as something of a precursor to a suicide note.... (No I'm not joking)
Beautiful song. Love the animation. The whole production in fact. Fits perfectly!

@@theastronomer7 Indeed 😄👌
I love this game...
***** You must play the Saturn version, it has so much more stuff than the standard or PSP version
It's songs like these that remind me why Castlevania is the greatest.

Lisa tucking away kid alucard: Goodnight my dear son.
Alucard: Mummy, will i see you again.
Lisa: i will always be you in your heart. You and your father.
Alucard: i love you mum
Lisa: i love you too my son.
Little did alucard know, that will be the last time, he will see his beloved mother. The more i think of it, the more my hatred for the bishop and his corrupted church grows for killing her out of crazy superstitions.
So beautiful and nice 🥰
Absolutely Beautiful.
Here a goddess
Of happiness cries
An endless
Timeless lullaby
Sings her song
Of the dreams she has
The sadness fills her eyes
End of love, love is gone.
No more dreams to dream about
So life is done
If it's so
Cut the thread
It's time to let it go
Tears they flow to the thirst of the gods
The oceans roars drowned out by rain
Blameless wolf carries on alone
The silence now surrounds him
Sooner than, dreaming ends
Morning of the dawn will bring another day
Turn around, (and) you have found
A different place to dream♡
So happy people still remember this!
Awesome!!
I love the song but that descriptions belongs in this world as much as Dracula.
Dracula: “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY WIFE?!”
the music, the lyrics - i like everything about this song.
Loved it! You have a beautiful voice!
And this is why I have the saturn version, but this one is better actually and it matches the Japanese so closely, Great video and that sleeping Alucard, not only funny but cute lol

Now I Know why Alucard cried at the final episode of the season 2 of Netflixvania...
I never played SOTN in psp, so cool to see that they keep the song

Your animation is super cute! 💜
This reminds me of Fire Emblem for some reason.
Yeah, me too!
All I hear is Azura's voice
Understandable
Alucard: rest quietly ~
Death : Here you are! I found you! You lil @!@£#@!
Alucard : uh...
Death : you skipped me! Used the glitch and kept your equipment! I was supposed to take it!
Alucard:¯\_(ツ)_/¯
is really beautiful melody

Thank you very much. I tried to make Alucard fall asleep with the fairy, but the song didn't start. I was playing with the english version though, so that's why I never heard it. Again, thanks for answering !
