In To Do, Is there a way to manage the suggestions that you see in MY DAY? I have certain lists that I don't want to see suggested. I only want to draw from "Tasks." Is this possible?
Great. That was very comprehensive. Also, it 's great to have that humour coming through. I hope Adele stayed for you cookie incentive. I've been struggling with ToDo because it's too close to planner, so this was useful. Thanks.
Bad news is they "improved" the app few days ago and now Planner tasks aren't opened in Planner, but in Teams. But it doesn't open the task directly in desktop app, but via some redirection through web and then in the ToDo app in Teams, so every single opened task leaves opened tab in browser, really handy :( I started using ToDo few months back because it can show all 3 type of micromanagement tools - Planner, flagged mails and ToDo/mail tasks. Hope the ToDo plugin/app in Teams will soon offer Planner's column view and also flagged emails. Or they will give us option in ToDo where to open the Planner tasks. Anyway thank you for your cool insights. They are really valuable 👍
Thanks Tyler! You're still the gold standard for thumbnails on RUclips. I always think... what can I do to make this look as good as a Tyler thumbnail.... haha.
Hello Kevin I am a fellow RUclipsr based in Nigeria and I also motivate and inspire people on MY RUclips CHANNEL. I really admire and support your work here, keep it up.
Hi Kevin, hoping you know the answer to the following... between Google Keep, Google Tasks, MS Lists and MS ToDo... in all the videos I have watched it is usually mentioned that something can be added to the calendar as a "reminder". I find these reminders to be useless. I only see them if I open the calendar. I need an app that once I assign the note a date & time, I'll get a pop-up on my phone either at the specified date/time or upon arrival or departure of a location. So far the only one I have been able to find is the Samsung app "Reminder" but it has a lot of text limitations. Do you know if Keep, Tasks or ToDo has the ability to do a pop-up reminder preferably with an audible alert?
I love the tag feature. Although I wish it would list all of my tags underneath the List section, like it does with Apple reminders and Apple notes. I also wish that when creating a task (when using my iPhone), there would be a list dropdown that would present me with every hashtag, and allow me to select, which tag that I want to select.
Hi Kevin, I hope you can help. I know I can print out each group to include the content within the group. Is there a command to print out all the groups/lists at once rather than on individual pages. Thanks in advance.
Hi, Kevin. Thank you for producing such wonderful and informative videos! I've been trying to find out whether I can import a csv file into To Do, but haven't been able to find anything on this.
Was super happy to learn about Hashtags. I was putting my own tags in a searching but this works great. Does anyone know if / when "My Day" will be available in the Outlook desktop application?
Hey kevin, Thank you for your video. I am struggling with how to search the Tasks list. I have tons of prospects, members and leaders and a multitude of projects and I converse primarily via email, so How can I search 130 tasks and find what I am looking for. Additionally, It seems there is no way to know how many flagged emails I have for one person so I need to review (search tasks), type in a name, and look for duplicates. Apparenlty there is no way to control or know how many dups you have unless you look nor is there a way to prevent them? Any help is appreciated
Does Microsoft have a task management app for those without a work or school account? I have a family plan which doesn't include planner and I don't use outlook for email. It's Todo my only Microsoft option just without any of the integrations?
Thanks, yes, did learn a couple of new things (I have been using MS Outlook Task extensively for years and To Do for a little while). Two questions if I may: How to add existing tasks to a list? How to show a # as a a list ? Comment: Dark theme is not an option on the web based To Do app, at least not in my organisation. Comment: I like the ease of To Do but prefer MS Outlook Task for those jobs that have a big history, eg emails, links to documents, etc.
I have been using "Tasks" in the desktop version of Outlook. I prefer the views & options to change the view. I really like the option to add "Company" However, I am considering moving to the web version. My issue is the views. Does the web version offer more sorting issues?
I am not sure if the to do list could help the people using shared inbox, like customer service, is we 6 people working together, could we have the same to do list and everyone could cross out things as we go?
Hi. I'm wondering if it's possible to create a default steps to all my to do task? Since all my projects requires a lot of steps but it's all the same.
Now to get my executive to revise my Outlook Delegate access so I have access to their Task list and getting them to download the MS To Do app. Typing up daily To do lists and carrying over items not completed and adding new items on every day is so inefficient! I'm hoping this will help me manage this part of my role.
Great channel & I follow most items very carefully learning a lot. However the Outlook - To Do coordination does not work. I do not get the same screens as you do. Is that due to different versions or is there something I am missing. I cannot get the “flag” option in To Do nor do I get the To Do & Tasks to sync. The emails I flag appear in Tasks but not in To Do.
Hi! I'm really struggling, can't find an answer to this question and I'm wasting so much time in research: (I'm using outlook in my browser) I want to drag and drop a ToDo task into my GROUP's calendar. For whatever reason, my ToDo task will only add itself to either my personal calendar, or to some other local calendars. Why can't I drag and drop it into a group calendar? I have the group's calendar selected - but once I drop the task, it instantly un-selects the group calendar and moves me to my personal calendar, where it automatically dumps the task. If I go into the task settings, the group's calendar is not even an option. Again, this is the calendar that was automatically created for us when we opened a new group.
Can you create a shared list and have power automate look for certain new tasks to be created to that list which automatically sets off its actions? Or is that already available in power automate app? I’d like to be able to do a ‘hey Siri’ which sets off a power automate series of actions.
Hey Kevin, Can you help me how to insert an onscreen clock for ppt? or a coundown timer? It should remain on screen even if I play pp show. Is there any application for it? or how do I do it?
The My Day idea is clever but terrifying as well. Esp for those who occasionally roll over their tasks to the next day. Any task you don’t complete simply vanishes and reappears as a suggestion, am I correct? So, what if you miss the task second time around, or it doesn’t appear at all, and in the process you forget to pay your quarterly tax or the cable bill. I do wish there was a way to disable it, this is a bit of a dealbreaker for me.
What's driving me nuts is that I have MS 365 and clicking on the Office icon shows To Do there as an app. However, clicking on it takes me to the browser version and I can't see the app in the location where all the other Office apps are. You can't install Office apps separately so I don't want to sit through an entire reinstall only to find it doesn't install it as an app anyway. But then if I go and dig out the app separately will it be the full Office version? This kind of thing with MS products drives me crazy, all the shenanigans with One Note was a right pain in the nether regions.
I love your videos! I have a question I hope you can help me with. I’m trying to integrate MS TO DO in my routine and I use OUTLOOK 365 as well. Here’s my problem. If I create a task in MS TO DO, I do NOT want it creating a task in Outlook. How can I do that?
Thank you @kevin_stratvert for this great tipps! Just this ohne is not usable: 11:00 TASKS IN TEAMS If you insert one of your 50 lists it will disappear after inserting the next list. The "May day" view is not selectable at all. So far not an option to the regular To Do App!
Great videos! I have one question related to shared lists. When I do this within my organization, the other person can see (and I can see theirs) and of our flagged emails merged together. This feels like a bug and a violation of security within the product. Any thoughts?
Wondering if you can address that when you flag an email for To Do-if it is added to a list it duplicates a blank task in outlook in addition to the existing email. It clutters the list and is annoying. Hope there is a solution for this. Thanks!
Thank you Kevin sir you are great! this tutorial is very helpful. Is that really you are opening a Chennai launch. Can you put a video on Microsoft Your Phone. Can you please tell where do you get these amazing wallpapers sir?
Thank you! I like the siri capture setup! #GTD However, on iPhone, the Siri shortcuts for Reminders keeps stomping over whatever I setup for Todo. So I put "Add Task" in Todo for Siri Shortcuts, test and sure enough, it goes into Reminders. I setup "Add Work Item" or "Capture Work Item" to go into ToDo, but no dice on Add Task or Add To Do, the Reminders one jumps up and takes it over. I can't figure out a way to delete the Reminders shortcuts in iOS Shortcuts to give me more flexibility in my Todo Siri Shortcuts. Anyone know how to turn off these Reminders shortcuts?
When I flag emails I like to rename them what sucks though is that when you rename a task or a flagged email it wont sync up with microsoft to do. Do you think in the future they will update that
Great list! I like MS Todo. I just wish that it had a few more keyboard shortcuts to make mouse usage less necessary, a la Remember the Milk or TickTick.
Thanks for mentioning the hashtag feature. I just hope that Microsoft ToDo won't have the same limitation as Google Keep Notes having a maximum of 100 labels (aka hashtags). Any suggestions on how to use this feature with the Categories?
Thx! Is there a way to delete my 800 completed tasks in a list in one fell swoop. in both android app and logged in online i seem to only be able to delete one at a time (in app) or click one task at a time online before deleting all. i want to "select all" then delete. boom! ideally the app would do this, but doesn't. and i've gone online looking for the efficient solution, but no dice. HELP PLS?
Also in a shared list writing @SomePerson will assign that person that task. I don’t think you can type in due dates or assign categories by natural language typing, not yet at least.
I have Microsoft To Do & MS teams. I can see my tasks in Teams, some that I have created in To Do have attachments. I can see in Teams that they have attachments.....How do I view them in Teams?
Some useful tips, thank you! Do you know of it's possible to add deadlines to steps within tasks? Can you say, for example, that you need to produce the superbowl video a month before submitting it to the network?
Hi Kevin, Thanks for this video. You mentioned the integration with Outlook to see the tasks there aswell. In Outlook however, I don't see the tasks that are assigned to me in Planner. Can you show how this is done?

@@KevinStratvert thank you for kind words Kevin! :)
I enjoy your humor! It makes learning enjoyable and easier, too.
can you cover a onenote tips (and can you interact Onenote into Tasks, so important notes can appear in your tasks Todo list?)
Thank you Kevin, these Microsoft Tips and Tricks are really very helpful. Highly appreciated. 🙂
Thank you so much for all your efforts, I've learned so much from your channel, please make a video about the Your Phone app on windows 10 🙏

Another Excellent video. My go to resource for all things OFFICE. Thank You ... !
Very helpful video. Can you speak to the integration of To Do and Onenote flags for tasks? Grateful for your training.
Thank you so much. Your tutorials are clear and easy to understand. Please keep the great work.
Microsoft ToDo is a cool tool for todo list. I use it everyday....Thanks for making the video..
Great video. Is there a way to customize the chime when you are done? I would love to be able to customize.
Learnt 2 tips, knew others. Your videos are amazing!
Thank you, Kevin! The "GROUP LISTS
" is helpful.
Thanks for the video. I downloaded To Do a couple a days ago and I am absolutely loving it.

Hi Kevin, I hope you can help. I know I can print out each group to include the content within the group. Is there a command to print out all the groups/lists at once rather than on individual pages. Thanks in advance.
Very in depth, thank you for that.
Hi, Kevin. Thank you for producing such wonderful and informative videos! I've been trying to find out whether I can import a csv file into To Do, but haven't been able to find anything on this.

Very cool, dude! It`s really full and simple. Thank you!
The other feature I use a lot is reordering tasks within my 'Today' list using drag and drop, so I do the most important tasks for the day first
I wish we can track some hashtagged tasks periodically (say, weekly or monthly). Any ideas??
Hey Kevin, Thanks for the tips.
One quick question, If I mark the repeated task as done. Will it repeat and appear again next month?

Very informative. Thanks. How to permanently delete completed tasks
