It is entirely a different world when you explain any app vs someone (anyone) else. I really feel obligated to leave a comment aside from thumbs up because you make whole lotta difference. Great all MS Teams videos and all others. (I wish I have all the time in the world to watch them all) :) ...P.S. Keep making them forever.

Brilliant video as always. Couple of comments, which I believe vital when I assign a task to anyone:
1- no place to ad time of the task, so when connect to the Outlook it books the entire day for that task.
2- Where do add address details? If I want to give two tasks to someone at two different location and time.
I will be grateful for your feedback and advice if there is a way round this.

I wish you could customize the columns (customize categories). Type of task (customized), requestor, etc.
Kind of like a to do list cue and share with others showing you are here on the list. And a way to align it by priority formula or logic you set. From highest to lowest

Planner is useless in the business world because, Microsoft failed to start with the basics, "permissions". Any user is capable of deleting, modifying and moving tasks. For this reason I can't see any use for it.

Thank you very much. I remember when my last job started using teams and we hated it. Now that I am in a new place I can not believe how much i have missed and the opportunities that are being missed. The tasks and buckets were always made and then we just got them assigned to us. This was very helpful so i can try and set it up correctly. If anyone knows how you can or even of you still can create a template for tasks and buckets still I would love a link to learn that as well. Thanks again.

Kevin... had a question from a supervisor about Tasks by Planner. This particular supervisor has requested a way in Teams to be able to see a COMPLETE EXHAUSTIVE LIST of every tasks within multiple channels in multiple teams, no matter who they are assigned to. I have not found a way to do this since each team is compartmentalized. Do you know of a way to view a complete list of tasks that span multiple teams/channels? This person needs to see the progress of all tasks within various teams and does not want to have to click on each channel within each team to see those task lists. Thank you!!

On a related note, maybe you can answer a question for me that Microsoft has not done a very good job addressing for me. I use Outlook and ToDo. I do not want my Tasks in ToDo to appear on the Task list in Outlook. Is there a way to prevent it?

    • @fynn8195

No there is no way to do so. MS To Do will ultimately replace all task management for personal use, i.e. the personal outlook tasks as well as One Note tasks (at least by linking all of them together)

They do not have the same task. They all have individual tasks with similar activities. You would have to assign an individual task to each of them "deliver cards".. That way you can track the progress individually.

I am really missing being able to associate an email in Outlook or files in Teams/OneDrive or a Team wiki page with a task, my own personal ones and ones that I have in Planner and am collaborating on with others. Do you know if this is something that will be coming to the tools? That more comprehensive and seamless integration will, I think, translate into a much smoother user experience.
