I hated hearing the song Shallow on the radio all the time. I finally saw A Star Is Born on TV and I was blown away by Lady Gaga's acting skills. Eminem "coming out" is such a great scene in The Interview. Not taking yourself too seriously and making yourself the butt of a joke is such a good ability to have.
Definitely! I think the fact that Lady Gaga already had so many different characters in her music videos helped her transition into acting similar to Eminem! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the topic 😊
"Hailey Steinfeld has such a great catalog. I can't pick an outright favourite but I really like her character in Hawkeye. Great onscreen chemistry with Florence Pugh too.

Out of the singer-actors you mentioned on the wall, Harry Styles in Dunkirk was the most believable, but overall the most impressive were the Haim sisters in Licorice Pizza.
This is your best video yet, keep up the great work! I think the best performance by an artist turned actor would be Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker in The Social Network. I think the combination of charisma and sliminess feels so distinctly him (no offense to Justin) and I honestly couldn't imagine anyone else in the role.
Wow thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed! Oh great point he did play the role perfectly like you said, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the topic!
Jaime Fox surprisingly did this field exceptionally well, and if I may I thought J-Lo (I know she's currently controversial) She had a God-tier performance is Selena
The Music Artist becoming an Actor is as old as Hollywood. Consider the first talking picture The Jazz Singer with Al Jolson in 1927. Then in the 30s radio star Bing Crosby comes to mind which leads to the 40s crooners Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin then to 50s Rock & Roll Elvis. By the 60s, the Beatles have a try at movies and so it goes... But I figure you know this. The question is what is different with the current generation of musical artists turned actors compared to their predecessors?
A great point to make! It definitely has been done several times in the past with some performances being better received than others. I’m not quite sure, I think it’s always been somewhat the same where a musician may want to try their hand at something else. With social media it is a lot easier for people to start a conversation around a movie/performance which can bring a lot more focus onto an individual and with trend culture if one person says something is bad and gets lots of attention others will hop onto the trend. Where back in the day it would mainly be articles and potentially interviews about a performance. I’m not sure if that really answered your question it’s a lot of speculation really! What’s your thoughts Thank you so much for you’re comment I really appreciate it ☺️
@@AbbieRee - Thanks for getting back. I like your inquisitiveness. Many performers back in the day came from the theater tradition whether Vaudeville, Burlesque, Follies or Broadway. I'm gonna be honest, Taylor Swift is a terrible actress, Lady Gaga's acting roles are good because one is a similar to her life, another (countless) has been written for her, Harry Styles being portrait as a bad guy/boy or villain in general is cringey af, he should stop, dua lips? You reminded me about that Cinderella movie and that is unforgivable.
im sorry :( James Corden jump scare still haunts me
You mispronounced Hotel Cortez. You pronounced it as Hotel Quartz. You also mispronounced Eternals. You pronounced it as Externals.
You’re a great host, but it’s the little things that make or break this presentation.
She called Taylor Lautner "Tyler Lautner" too lmao
Tyler Durden too.
Didn't know she wasn't even there, lily rose depp? Nepotism, the weeknd? Why being obsessed with yt girls, Shawn mendez, boring as his music
Hello.....
i like you.
Looks like u didn't t sleep well
Damn the quality of films have tanked since the rise of the woke feminazi cult. It's a shame.
Dunkerque was brilliant. (although the exaggerated Spitfire glide was a bit much) .
Lady Gaga doesnt have a perfect catalog and her acting method in approaching characters need improvements and opportunities; but she definitely has proved to herself as worthy and competitive as the other actor powerhouse. I'm a fan of her works 🫶🏼
Im really late to this one. its just been so hot here and i been kinda busy. But im so happy to see another video and see your channel growing. I hope you dont forget me when you become a huge RUclips star. I hope you are staying cool. Best wishes always. One of your biggest fans - Luciana 🤍
