      43" for the ultimate all-in-one setup, but you need a deep enough desk or wall mounted setup. Costs can be a concern at the size though, so I get why it isn't more popular.

    This is a great monitor. I replaced my aorus fv43 with this and am much happier.
    Noticeably less input lag, colors are fantastic- I actually have hdr off and use the black stabilizer (best blacks I’ve seen on an ips panel), and the size is so much more manageable with ability to use as a productivity monitor.
    The only cons are lack of USB-c port
    And if you really want hdr gaming, the zones just aren’t enough. I don’t feel like this a huge deal though because I really don’t think there is a super convincing hdr monitor yet especially non oled.
    If that’s what you want though your better off using a tv or waiting til next year when we can hopefully/finally get some 32in and less sized monitors with convincing hdr

      @xxlive4eatingxx275 2 года назад

      @@StevenShmais You should try a usb-c to display port cable. I think, starting from 2018 MacBooks support DisplayPort 1.4 over usb-c/thunderbolt 3. I think from 2020 onwards they also support VRR. So, your Macbook should definitely work. I have a 2020 intel MacBook and it works well at 1440p 144Hz and VRR (This also needs DisplayPort 1.4). I use a usb-c to display port cable from Belkin, which works very reliably. I tried a cheaper first, but there I had some issues when trying to wake up the Macbook from sleep.

  • @timholt78
    @timholt78 2 года назад +4

    I wish I could share your overall enthusiasm for this monitor, but after using it for over a week, I took it back. I was coming from the LG 27GP950(as well as the C1, which I love, but it is too big for some games for me). First, the SDR is outstanding, but part of the hefty original price tag is due to the HDR 1000 rating as well as the Polarizer. To my eyes, the HDR(on consoles) looks very washed out, just like the 27gp950, though slightly better. The back-light bleed is not as bad as the 27", but most of the colors take on a muted, pastel-like look. All I had to do to confirm this was turn HDR off(and I took pics of "on" and "off"). I REALLY had high hopes for this, but only 32 dimming zones on an edge-lit display doesn't cut it. Hopefully, due to the current competition, LG will improve in it's next round of monitors. This one was antiquated on arrival. Sorry for the long post! Thanks!

      @@Chris-zu2gl Right now I'm using the Gigabyte M32UC and have been happy with it. While it's HDR is not outstanding by any means(only HDR 400), it is better than any IPS monitor's HDR that I have used(maybe it's due to it being a V.A. panel and the superior contrast helps). I bought it with the expectation that I would not use the HDR, so it was surprising. From what I have heard, the only monitors that are under $2000 that have good HDR are the Samsung Neo G7/G8 and the new Sony Inzone M9.

I have a Logitech Sub and Speakers, and have to run it through the bottom of the monitor, using a standard audio jack plugged into the headphone jack of the Logitech controller (and it gives off an annoying hum). Pretty p*ss poor work around if you ask me. So I’ve tried basically every monitor and this is my opinion.
    Lg c2- really nice tv/monitor. A bit to big for me, have to turn it on manually and switch inputs manually is annoying, I have another oled in the room so I gotta use a switch to keep it off if not both tvs turn on with the same remote. For games like csgo fornite and esport games I would skip it.
    Samsung g7 neo. Really nice mini led monitor. But hate the curve it’s just not for me. Also states that it’s 2000 nits, but barely gets bright enough in games like halo compared to regular ups panels. Also pretty glitchy software and hate the buttons at the bottom.
    I also used the lg32gq850 the 1440p 240hz variant of this, it’s a nice monitor but once you go 4K you can’t really go back to 1440p. So I’m returning it.
    I havent used the Dell alienware because it doesn’t have 4K on the ps5 like all these others which included hdmi 2.1 do. And I play on both systems a lot.
    I got the lg32gq950 on the way and I think I’m going to like it, I already like the 850 which I feel is brighter then the Samsung neo.
    Yes guys I know oled is awesome so is mini led, but honestly me personally I play a lot of games that aren’t really black screens or dark screens, so it doesn’t bother me to much. I am a big fan of bright screens but that’s just me.

    27GP950 vs 32GQ950?
    Love the 27GP950 but definitely room for improvement. My biggest issues with the 27GP950 are crushed shadows in HDR (Netflix's The Witcher for example looks terrible), poor HDR brightness in HDR scenes with large areas mapped > 400 nits (think Metro Exodus's Volga & Caspian maps), the poor semigloss display coating (same sharpness / contrast hit as matte but worse reflection handling) and the worse than typical for IPS baclight bleed.
    Does the 32GQ950 improve on any of these issues?

      You're going to have to go with some form of OLED for the true blacks. I'm holding out for a 32" QD-OLED with all the bells and whistles. Probably at least another year away from that.

    Nice gaming monitor. This looks much better that those silly curved gaming monitors. And a bit more promising that the regular IPS ones. I tried both types and non delivered for me. IPS glow is very noticeable for me as I only play at night with room lights off and I play games with all sorts of light environments. This monitor still being IPS but with an added layer of filter or whatever, sounds good but I'll have to be the judge of that in person. I've been using the LG 32UL750 [i think thats the model] which is a VA panel (the only one I could find back then in 7/2020) with decent specs, like 32in flat, full connectivity HDMI DP usb-c 3.5mm, HDR. This was a rough stone that after some "carving and polishing" got to the gem it's today. The viewing angles are slim but this is a monitor on my desk and I'm sitting in directly in front of, not a tv in my living room. I wish they made an oled or similar miniLED or whatever with no damn anti-reflection filters and in 32in because more than that is just ridiculously too big for it being used on desk as a monitor.
