Just got it a week ago. Thought I'd leave a customer review for anyone interested. So every g300 in my local store had fret edges sticking out due to a humidity issue, except for the one i got, so glad i came in in person to try them all out in person. I found overall build quality to be very good for the price range, fretwork is good, but had one 22nd fret being uneven, causing buzz in that area. All the frets up to 14th were very smoth for bends, after that a little scratchy, but not terrible. Holds tune quite well, if you keep in mind that it's not a floyd rose. Pickups sound very good to my liking, but coil splitting doesn't cut it for me, so i liked only positions 1, 3 and 5. I got the raw one, and i think it looks very good, walnut top is pretty and unique in a way. Tuners and tremolo are very smooth, feel high quality. Luminlay side dots are almost useless, need recharging every 5 minutes or so, otherwise won't glow. Overall happy with my purchase, i think for the money it's the best i could get out of everything i had to choose from in my local stores. If you can spend more, you can definetely find better though. 5 stars from me, considering price tag. 3.5, not considering it.
Thank you for your review! 👍It is useful... though I must note, those fret issues you mentioned, sound really bad. 😕At this pricepoint (and considering this should be the top level of the Cort electric guitars) I think it is unacceptable. For sure, if One have the opportunity, any instrument should be checked personally at a store, before you purchase. That is my plan too, cause due its visuals and features, "G300 Raw Natural Satin" still one of the few guitars from which I would like to choose my next instrument.
@@SoldierOfSunrise sticking out frets are more of a distributors fault in this case imo. Wood shrinks when it dries out, causing fret edges to start sticking out. They were beautifully polished all the way up to 24th fret, no scratchiness, nothing, and the edges were treated well, you could tell by looking closely. Now after almost half a year of using it I'm very happy with the guitar except the bridge. Doesn't handle heavy whammy usage well, goes out of tune pretty quickly. Other than that, great
I have the G300 pro in VVB and I can vouch for this guitars. They are too good for the money, yes! Fantastic tuning stability even with heavy trem use, great construction, super comfortable and playable. BTW, I could swear no model has jumbo frets, they are all medium-jumbo. Try them and buy them!
Precisely, the quality for that price is incredible. I chose G290 Fat II because I prefer a wider settled pickup, just my tone preference. And Im very very happy. The guitar is very comfortable.
@@T.m.K actually they are great guitars, forget about the “for the money” part. I tried the G290 FAT and FAT II a while back as well and I was impressed.
Very nice instrument. I have a Cort G290 FAT and it's really well made, lovely to play. I actually replaced the pickups with those in the video, and it sounds even better now. I fancy the G300 Raw I must say! The only problem is, I'll take a spanking if I sell the G290, Corts don't seem to fare well on the second hand market.
Wow these high end specs would've been unthinkable even 10 years ago, some things do get better! I hope they do a 24 inch chambered superstrat someday!
Another great clip with some excellent playing Richard. Really dig these guitars. I like the look of the Raw but the sound of the Glam, though there isn't much in it. Would kinda like to see the maple top and ebony board in the raw finish.
It would be very cool to have a Side by Side of both guitar demos with each. Otherwise is hard to percieve the difference in sound which im sure there is.
I'm REALLY curious about the measurements of the "Ergo V"neck. As in, what are the thicknesses at the 3rd and 12th frets? I have a love for Jackson / Charvel necks, but can't bring myself to enjoy Ibanez, for example. I can't find any Cort guitars locally - anybody out there know these measurements? Thanks!
Sounds quite lovely in character but the intonation of the gets is not very good. Hope they hold tuning better than their original guitars did. I have the M900 cherry burst, it's very lovely. Modded the buckers to mojotone PAF alnico 4
I'm mostly used to thin necks... my current guitar is a PRS SE Custom 24... do you think I could get the same speed on this... or it would required some serious practice?
Just for beginners out there: maintaining highs when rolling off the volume isn't always a sign of a great guitar, it's just preferred in this day and age of perfectly CNC machines instruments. Think original Les Paul as an example of a great instrument that loses treble whilst rolling off the volume.
I like to lower volume when playing a sweet melody and wanting more warmth. A treble bleed cap would kill this ability. What you are witnessing is how easy it is to program people. If enough we’ll known people say nits good then it is. The funny thing is people fancy themselves independent thinkers but most just regurgitate what was put in their head. Roasted maple necks and relic guitars is another. Who pays thousands for someone to beat the piss out of a new guitar and who wants to give the impression the thing has gone on tour for decades when it is brand new?
I agree that it isn’t automatically the sign of a great guitar and that isn’t really what I’m saying. However, it is a personal preference for many (including me!) so I’m highlighting it for their benefit. It’s true that modern LPs (and other Gibsons) lose some highs as the volume is reduced, but not to the degree which would suggest poor quality components. Many vintage Gibsons (including Greeny and Pages no. 1) were actually wired differently from the factory (now known as ‘50s wiring’) which didn’t lose any high end on volume roll off. Gibson changed to ‘modern wiring’ in the 60s, but 50s wiring is a very popular mod now.
@@bluwng Evidence? It's all OVER the place! Googling a simple wiring diagram will show that to be true. Anyways I am NOT the 1st person to have already SAID that in this thread!

Does the Cort G300 has bigger frets compared to the G300 Pro??
@@naufrago7676 they are the same guitar. They have the same frets. They are « jumbo » but not as jumbo as other manufacturers’ jumbos.

Cort g300 or g300 raw?
