@@alaniasdruid8616 Honestly I don't even know if that's unpopular. I think it all comes down to personal preference, really. Their whole catalogue was made by masters. I'll admit there's some of the older *tracks* that I think might be better, but if I'm going to sit down and put on a Tool album, it'll be Fear Inoculum.

Tool's "Lateralus" is a progressive rock song known for its distinct time signatures and corresponding lyrical patterns.3 The song was originally titled "9-8-7" for its time signatures, but it turned out that 987 was the 16th number of the Fibonacci sequence.03 The first verse of the song begins at 97 seconds, which is approximately 1.618 minutes, and each verse is 55 seconds long, which is the 11th number in the sequence.012 The syllables in those verses match the sequence too, peaking at 13 (coincidentally, the same number of total album tracks) and then again in a descending order thereafter.12 The syllables Maynard sings in the first verse follow the first six numbers in the pattern, ascending and descending in the sequence 1-1-2-3-5-8-5-3.

They have evolved over the years. That’s why there are late gaps in album releases. The band sends Menard the music, then He writes and arranges the songs. Danny Carey is one of the best drummers of all time. The ever changing time signatures, adds to the unique sound. And I believe the drummer and the bass player make all of their video’s.

I interpret this as him singing about the importance of human curiosity. We always want an answer to things unknown(ie. New experiences). Instead of going in blind with curiosity(the innate urge to push the envelope, cross the line) and use our intuition to understand a new experience, we tend to overthink and overanalyze things with logic beforehand.
If we only thought and analyzed everything new to us, we wouldn't have curiosity. Without curiosity, we would miss out on new and random experiences. Without experiencing new and random things, we won't have a developed intuition to help us make sense of new things. If we don't have the ability to make sense of new things, we would always fear the unknown. With fear blocking us from approaching the unknown, humanity would no longer advance.
Embrace the random. Ride the spiral of your curiosity into the unknown, and keep riding it to the end.
Maintain a healthy balance between curiosity and logic. Too much curiosity is a danger to the body. Too much logic is a danger to the soul.
What's great is that there is no wrong interpretation to this song. However this song is taken, it is open for all of us to interpret through our own lenses...

No one does something like this by theirselves. Even Eminem has so much help he would never admit it. To pull off something like this you would at least need 50 people. If you wanted to pull this off by yourself it would take years there's no way that you could make the catalog in this day and time.

The video for this song uses fractal geometry. It is what changed the video game world. Images where just lines of different length. Fractal geometry uses different size triangles.

Watch the video again on mushrooms, you will understand. Fractals, Mandelbrot zooms, fibonacci are utter bliss😂 It's all about set and setting, just lie down, see, listen let your thoughts wander and you will understand😊

This is literally like Mayndard trying to teach these ppl to let go and feel... and they're sitting there overthinking everything as he's telling them "Overthinking, overanalyzing separates the body from the mind"
    lol
    Amazing

@@FlawdTV let's see that energy when you learn the backstory and listen to 10,000 days and wings for Marie.
See how Maynard becomes your daddy real quick. 😄

I hate some of the music videos that get put out for great songs. Tool's official videos are amazing, but so many of these "fan" videos take away from the experience. imo
Great reaction Flawd and Meaux !

Yeah the person who made this one unfortunately failed in its attempt to portray this song. You cant just put out any old "trippy" visuals and think it will work.
