🔥 video gotta love trout fishing the scenery and those beautiful trout! I just uploaded some trout fishing videos they were a blast to make cannot seem to find anyone else that’s 16 and interested in fishing as much as me!!!
Nice video Iain Also nice to see the top boys in a tangle with their running lines😂 makes me feel better Need to get an Earn vid out before the seasons end
Looked like some fine water you were on , why is it you can go a day without a running line nest and the next every other cast is trying to rip your eyelets out ? Had that happen a couple of weeks ago , it really breaks up my zen , but the good news was I was out fishing . Thanks for the video 🥃
@@scottishoutdoorlife Oh come on now , don’t give it up yet . I’ve been a Skagit , Scandi guy for most of my of my two hand casting life . It just takes some time to sort out .
I'll certainly persevere in the spring but from now until October it'll be my spey line and maybe a shooting head for the sunray. It definitely has it's place.
I lived in Alaska for 8 years and learned there how a healthy stream works Our streams here in the lower 48 states are a mess They could be healthy again but will never be ... there is too much money and control involved The ones that truly want the streams healthy again aren't making money and wielding control
It's a tough one, our rivers in Scotland on the whole seem to be ok but down in England there are some in a real mess with run off and sewage pollution etc. Thanks again for watching.
Lol the Gillie filling you with confidence expect to catch fish all the way down the Cotter or Boil aye right oh bud its not the 1970's or 1980's. Remember fishing there many years ago sitting at hut having a dram or 10 with old Bill the Gillie then going out and hooking, landing a fair few fish and seeing plenty fish moving every day, miss the good old days waiting on fish coming off the tide and passing through the Newtyle Boil, bouncing a Shrimp, Prawn, Flea or a bunch of Wurums off their heads. Old Bill would say right lads that's 2hrs fae the tide at Perth whisky glasses down and git in there, the Salmon are arriving noo. lol Does anybody remember the Fly old Bill had on his rod all year and never changed it throughout the season, it was like a hairs ear with, golden pheasant yellow tail on Edmund Dury Treble not a hairwing fly more like a troot fly, oh how he could hook fish and hand the rod to clients to land fish with that old rod line and fly, straight out the boil or Cotter. 😂
It would've been good to see those days. I caught the end off them in the early nineties when I was a boy. It's fun to get out now all the same, still enjoy it. Thanks 👍
Superb video! A stunning beat thats producing fish.

@@scottishoutdoorlife well in your vid you did manage to give us a line and sink tip setup, but the camera didn’t linger long on your fly😜
