- My first day out fishing in July 2023 after the heatwave broke here in the UK and the River Tay was running high with alot of water pushing through. Regardless of the wet conditions I had a great day!
Hi, my name is Chris and my channel is called Cornish Chris the Fish. I am a Cornishman venturing out beyond the Duchy (of Cornwall) to experience life on the road full time touring in my Caravan Dalleth Arta, fly fishing for Salmon and vlogging my adventures. I am charting my salmon fly fishing adventures and will profile each fishery that I attend. I may even catch a few fish 😀. All views are my own good or bad.

Fantastic thank you for subscribing and commenting. The hat is made by Drizabone and I bought it years ago when i went to Australia on holiday but am sure you can get one here. I also have a tilley hat. I will be on the Tweed in November so our paths may cross. Tight lines 👍

So typical! The only day I wasn't fishing! I was on dalguise Monday to wednesday and newtyle Thursday and Saturday. On Friday it was day time drinking in dunkeld 😂

Well done- you seem to throw a good long line- I've caught the vast majority of my fish on small rivers in Wales but now fish fly only; I struggle with my Hardy 15'4 but I think you've persuaded me to get it out again- 13' is fine but we'll see! Tight lines-Tom

Hi mate I was thinking of booking a day on Newtyle end of January just to get out and get in the water. Do you think it’s fishable with the fly and wading around that time of year? Thanks
Not really sure tbh. It's going to depend on conditions / river height. I only fished there once. Sorry i can't be of more help

How does it take 3 days to get from Cornwall to Scotland?
Thanks you probably haven't seen my other films but I tow my caravan up from Cornwall and like to break up my journey by stopping a couple of times on the way up. 👍
