I am Brazilian and in a few months I will become a police officer, channels like this one and police activity really opened my eyes to how dangerous police work is and especially how a quiet situation turns into a shooting situation

Judging by circulating videos, I would say you will be much safer while on duty than off duty, because all shootings in Brazil seem to involve “off duty police officers” only!

@@borismedved835 this channel had very very biased coverage of the Amber Heard trial in favor of Amber and was called out repeatedly for it. They also have selective editing that pushes a specific viewpoint and they cherry pick when to use the word allegedly. This is not an informational channel it's a propaganda Network.
That’s because those other channels are lazy and they are taking the footage from these channels and because of copyright laws they have to change the original to enable fair use

Tbh this was some pretty good police work, they spent hours trying to deescalate the situation, and when the time came that move had to be made, they deployed non lethal and only opened fired when the suspect made a grab for his gun. There's only so much the police can do but that doesn't mean they shouldn't at least try and I applaud these officers for doing just that
What was the crime? I'm not saying this was or wasn't justified, just that the reporting is lacking a lot of key information.

@@BenGoblin a call doesn't mean a crime was actually committed. It needs to be investigated to determine if it actually happened. The police showed up in tactical gear, and their "tank" of a vehicle?

If they rolled up like that right off the bat because the caller stated he had a gun, I would have to say that escalates a situation, not de-escalates it. Or maybe because the guys with their guns drawn, hanging off of an armored vehicle, Offered the man water, it's considered de-escalation.
I would think that a uniformed officer showing up to speak with the caller, to investigate whether a crime actually took place would be the correct response to the call. Instead of oh my God, he has a gun, everyone suit up and let's go get this maniac!
Look I get it, obviously the man was not stable, he 100% did have a firearm (probably illegally). I am only going by the information provided in the video. But, the suspect appears to be away from the supposed victim, and we don't know whether anyone ever spoke to her or not. This is why I said it was poor journalism. A lot of people commenting without facts. Yes the guy appeared to show aggressive behavior, but I'm not so sure anyone wouldn't if a tank like vehicle rolled up on them with 4-8 armed men hanging off the side, yelling orders.

whenever there is an officer involved shooting it is protocol to put them on paid leave until investigation is complete and then they come back.

Police grenade launchers don't shoot actual frag grenades: they use either foam grenades to shoot directly at people (similar to shotgun beanbag rounds) and teargas.

This is probably the highest production quality I've seen in a police shooting video, very nice lol
He made it very clear he had no intention of surviving that situation, he stated either the police shoot him or he shoots himself. They attempted negotiations and deescalation for hours and he was adamant on those 2 outcomes. The officers did their best but he simply did not want to survive. Administrative leave is standard in officer involved shootings so IA can confirm appropriate force and such. The result of the IA findings will be the officers did nothing wrong and will return to normal duties

This guy got exactly what he was looking for. Too much of a coward to do it himself. He wasn't a man, he sure wasn't a father. True fathers don't put their kids through crap like this. May the Father I believe in show mercy on his soul. May God comfort the family and the officers involved. These brave women and men did the best they could. They just didn't have much to work with.

I saw a swat truck a robot a drone full military gear and a tazer wiff.. no bean bags no pepper spray no visual lasers. All tools they had and didn't use. Pray they start training cops better

Domestic disputes are often sticky where it seems like a large percentage of them do lead to incidents of shootings.

Consider, even at their best, it still took 15 mins for response...

Likewise, just because you bring equipment with you doesn't mean you're required to use it for any and every situation; tear-gassing a single person on an open sidewalk with a 40mm for example is an objectively nonsensical idea at best. These cops are a perfect example of "overfunded and undertrained".
